pathological liar

pathological liar

A Poem by Child Of the Universe

I’m sorry I’m a pathological liar.

I lie and say I’m not hungry or tired.

I lie and say I like my mom’s stir-fry.

I lie to my grandma, saying that I’ve been too busy to call her.

I lie to my teachers about homework.

I lie to myself by saying “I’m not in love with him.”

And with that, I’ve been lying to you about my feelings

Because secretly I’ve been in love with you.

Secretly I’ve been lying to everyone

And I’m sorry.
