Haunting

The haunting of an old house.

In the old house we had just purchased there was an empty yet full feeling. It felt as if the floorboards had a story to tell but the story was empty. The wind that blew through the windows tried to tell us something but we weren't listening. The ghosts that were trapped between the walls were screaming. The grandfather clock that was here when we moved in, ticked at a faster pace than normal. My heart raced fast too and a cold presence that was around me formed a lump in my throat, a knot in my stomach and goose bumps on my arm.
