Race Profile: Lil'Ums

This is a rough draft of a profile for one of my created races. They are formed after the God Azawraith. Let me know what you think.

Lil’Um

 

Lil’Ums are a race born from the form of the God Azawraith. They are born from pure darkness, but given a form by Dayanous. Unlike their dark cousins, the demons, they cannot shift there form and are mortal.

 

Appearance:  Human-like, except for their multicolored eyes(At least two colors blended around one another, a max of three colors, one always being purple), claw-like fingernails, sharp fang like teeth, and pointed ears, very similar to that of an elf. Their Appearance only changes when they go into their Demonic transformation. Their elbow bones extend about 3inchs outward and form into a boney spike. Their claws extend outward about 3inchs and fangs grow out as well. Strands of dark energy begin emanating from their bodies.

 

Powers: They have above normal human strength and speed, as well as a natural mastery over darkness in all of its forms (Spells, Illusions, Summons, etc.). They are born with the ability to sense other creatures born from darkness (namely Demons) and their weaknesses. Because of this, they have been considered Natural demon hunters. In their demon form their power increase significantly. Their Strength and speed increase to about 5x above normal, and their powers over darkness increases to the point of dark energy emanating from their skin.

 

Weaknesses: Because they were created by pure darkness, light magic brings physical harm to them. Because of this the Lil’Ums cannot be healed by magical means.

 

 Place in Se‘Lucia: Lil’Ums are frowned upon by most forms of society. They are looked at as unholy blights upon the land and are thus treated as second class citizens. Most are kept in dirty, run down sections of the larger cities. Many Pray to Azawraith, as he was their Creator. Many have come to despise the other Gods, as they feel the Gods have forsaken them and only help the Lil’Ums Oppressors. They have come to hate most other races, except for the Dwarves, who see the Lil’Ums as Strong Warriors worthy of respect. Because of this, many of the Lil’Um race attempt to escape captivity and seek refuge within the Dwarven Kingdoms
