Tree Tops

Tree Tops

A Poem by Young Left Hand
"

Dedicated to the life of my Grand Parents Lloyd and Babbs McGee

"
Tree tops in winter
Always make me feel blue
They look brittle, when the leaves there are few.....

But springtime comes along
I hear that robin's song
It sounds precious, exciting, and new……

It reminds me that trees are strong
that seasons dont last long
Oh but mostly it reminds me of you……
Oh but mostly it reminds me of you……

Leaves rustle around
They’re up and their down
They’re green, then they’re fragile, then through…..

But they’ll blow back again
Once the warm air begins
They’ll be precious, exciting, and new…..

Oh but mostly they remind me of you…..
Oh but mostly they remind me of you……

Tree tops in winter
Always make me feel blue
They are brittle, when leaves there are few……

But spring comes along
And I hear that robin's song
It reminds me that life ends too soon.....

Reminds me that I’m strong
That season’s aren’t long

Oh but mostly it reminds me of you……
Oh but mostly it reminds me of you.

A wonderful ode to your grandparents. The description was wonderful and set the scene nicely. I could feel as if I was there staring into the tree tops and feeling with chill upon my cheeks.

Great Poetry!
