Frail emotions.

Frail emotions.

A Poem by Lola
"

When you find a smile on your face that you haven't had before, don't wash it away. You never know when it'll ever be back.

"
You painted a smile on my face.
Bright red.
Cherry Gold.
I reeked of pleasure.
I reeked of infidelity.
The paint grew thicker.
Molding like dark green moss,
It grew from corners.
It expanded sideways.
It felt like slime, and
It tasted so bitter.

The paint grew thicker,
Deep Red.
Devil's snow.
The moss multiplying by a thousand.
I reeked of poison.
I reeked of disloyalty.
My smile was covered in my own blood.
My own algae growing out of my limbs.

The paint grew thicker,
Tasting like candy cane vile.
I licked it a bit off.
My own insecurity.
My own madness.

The paint grew thicker.
My smile half destroyed.
Your paint into my blood.
A scar I will always remember.
A lesson I have learned.

Don't replace a good thing, when another one will destroy all you have known.
Happiness is temporary, but mistakes are eternal.

I cannot wipe it off.
I cannot clean it.
I hadn't known my mistakes tasted this bitter.
I hadn't known that the bitter was also sweet.
