Black

Black

A Poem by Lola
"

Your heart was an oil spill but my heart was already as black as coal.

"
My heart
Is a mine
As Dark as coal
As Fluid as ice

Your love
Was an oil spill
Blackening
My already
Tar black soul

Your love
Was an oil spill
Turning my oceans
Into sewers

Your love
Was an oil spill
That killed
My dreams
When my shutters
Awoke

Your love
Was an oil spill
Summoning
All your lovers

Poisoned
By your love
Disgusted
By your taste
Ignored
By your trust
And hated
By your grace

Your love
Was an oil spill
And I had already
Been as dark
As coal.

I can sense the destruction and lonesomeness,, the way you paint a picture is wonderful.

Great job.
