Mother?

Mother?

A Poem by Lola
"

Mother is what keeps me up but pulls me down.

"
Mother, mother
Home and lover
No other,
than a mother.

Insides devoured
Feelings growled
Red with shock,
Blue with despair
Hungry for love,
Too senseless to share

Hit here,
hit there

Through her eyes,
A glare
 A piece of glass,
All bare.

A defenseless burden,
Take care.
Grown and risen,
All's fair.
Become one,
No one.
Through her eyes,
 Someone.
Destroyed by ignorance
Prevailed by names

Titanic.
The block of cold in the way.
Manic.
Brittle bones and solemn slumber
Not in need of her milk no longer

Dynamic splinter of monsters
Come alive,
in the form of a mother.

Making me eat
Making me cheat
Digesting me with defeat
Savorless sleep.

Red with anger
Blue with fear

Hit here,
hit there
No other,
than a mother.
