LIMITING BELIEFS

This is a story about a man by the name of Chani Washington.  When I met Chani in 1993 I was looking for answers to why we were here. I was looking for my purpose just like any other young man searches for. Chani is a very talented man he records music and has a tape out called knowledge of self. His artist name is Supreme Teacher. He taught me a lot of lessons in life.  He believed that all men had something to contribute to mankind and that man can be very good or evil if he chooses to be. He taught me about how man at one time enslaved his own due to one fact, the color of his skin.

The black man has had the hardest time to prove that they are equal, just like any other man. Man in the past has divided the races but to me there is only one race and that is the human race.  Chani would always tell me that man can be great and live in greatness if he so chooses.  Some men had other ideas on how to treat man. I believe this to be a state of mind and taught behavior over the years brought down from generation to generation.  People only change if they choose to change.  It’s big business to try and change someone who will not listen to change.  Sometimes it takes a big problem to make people expand their mind and change.

Chani would tell me stories about how he would get pulled over by police for no reason at all.  I would ask him why.  He said he would get pulled over because of d.w.b.  I said, “What” driving while black.  At first I thought no way.  But one day I was with him and I experienced this first hand.  We were pulled over and he was harassed for no reason at all, it was amazing.  Some people today still believe that because they are white and at one time the black man was a slave that the white man is superior.  This is a terrible belief among white men in America!

But not all white men are this way, change has happened. Today things do change over time.  Only if thinking changes for the better of mankind.  Chani has a great conviction over what he believes and what he teaches to others.  He has a great message in his songs that he writes.  He relates well to others that have experienced what he has.  He is known as the Supreme Teacher.  He has taught me to look deep into others as far as race goes.  People have limiting beliefs about people due to the color of their skin.  So remember stop this way of life and there is only one race, the human race.

Let’s unite and make the world a better place for you and me.  God bless Chani Washington!  People need to stop and take a look at them selves and realize no one man is perfect.  We are an imperfect race.  We make mistakes and we must learn from our mistakes.  Build on them to make them better for future generations to come.  We must grow into an awesome race that works together not against each other.  We can solve all problems if we choose to do so.  We can become a global equal race and win forever! Limiting beliefs exist in everyone, it’s taught in our mind the minute we are born and as we grow. Most of our limiting beliefs come from the people that raise us. They teach us what they believe in and we learn from them. Have you ever heard a parent tell their children you can’t do that well your child will believe you because they respect you and love you they believe what you tell them to be the truth. The truth is we pass everything we learn from generation to generation and then our children will learn from others.

The end result is their own beliefs, which will be passed to their children until someone breaks through with an extraordinary result, which changes themselves and mankind. A mankind contribution! This is what makes someone break through a limiting belief. Chani has this great gift to express himself in his music and sends a message to everyone who has a limiting belief in the world and who they are as people. People must change to make the world a better place to live. Change is hard we are creatures of habit changing takes time but we must be willing to learn new things in order to change what dose not work for us as human beings.

I believe man is about to make a quantum leap in the way we work together as one race we will work as the occupants of the earth as humans and not as individual races. This will improve all aspects of life medical, science, and the way we really communicate with each other and share knowledge. Remember knowledge is power there are people conducting research as you read this book that will make it possible for you to live longer to travel faster or maybe live on the moon sooner than we think. It all starts with not limiting our belief to what is possible. I can remember when I was in high school the kids would say we wouldn’t have a black President in our lifetime.

The reality is anything is possible in your mind I’m sure if you ask President Barack Obama if he thought he would be President of the United States of America he would tell you of course I did. I’m sure he believed he could be our first black President. His belief became a reality for him.  Limiting our belief can slow us down it can make us dormant for a while. I have met people who waste their day by sleeping. The reason they sleep is obvious they are depressed for some reason or another it all starts in your own mind. People limit their thinking based on emotions, which cause them not to act on their true beliefs. People need to rethink who they are and what direction they will take in life.

Always expand your mind no matter what your beliefs are. You can accomplish amazing things in your life just believe you can and everything will fall in place for you. Have you ever heard of Roger Bannister well on May 6, 1954 he was the first man to run the mile under four minutes, his official time was three minutes fifty nine point four seconds. He believed that it was possible to run the mile under four minutes. After he did this people started running the mile under four minutes. They now believed it possible for them to do so because it had been done. Remember don’t have limiting beliefs all things are possible.

This was inspiring. The one thing that truly blocks us is our own mentality.
I think this ran on a little too much in some places. But this was a deep and thoughtful write. Something we all need more of. Loved it.
