No name.

No name.

A Poem by Lexy Barton

Why do you do this?
Why take the risk?
I told you too many times,
Lose the competitive edge.
Am I anonymous?
You broke my heart,
With out of control daze.
Clouds of smoke,
Escape just so silent.
Your denial and excuses,
I am used to.
Admit to yourself, what will it take?

This is a good piece, but I feel it needs stronger imagery. Instead of telling us what to feel simply because it fits in the theme, show us. Allow us to step into your shoes and see what you see, but let us have our own unique perspective.

Great start, though! :D

Hope this helps and happy trails!

P.S. Play with the language. Even the most nonsensical poem can be incredibly beautiful.
