Anything () is extra information. ____________________________________________________________ Episode 55: The day is January 15th, 2005. It’s a Saturday nighttime. Ambrož proposes that he and Oumou open Přemysl’s presents as she pampers him to help him with his “sickness”. Oumou answers in a neutral manner. Oumou Line 1) I’m not sure if that would “cheer me up”, but I’m curious to know what he got us. Oumou gets up to retrieve Přemysl’s presents (she had set them on her cabinet near the entryway of her apartment), bringing them over to both of them and seating herself back down on the ground next to Ambrož. She hands a gift bag over to Ambrož, keeping the other one for herself. Ambrož speaks exuberantly, trying to lift Oumou’s spirits. Ambrož Line 2) I wonder what he got us. Must be a couple's thing. Let’s open it on the count of three. One.. two… three! As they open Přemysl’s presents simultaneously, they observe the "best friends" half-heart magnet necklace pair that he had gifted them. Ambrož’s eyes widen in pleasant surprise. Oumou’s eyebrows slant, feeling touched by Přemysl’s consideration. She fully takes her necklace out of the gift bag, with a card from the inside falling out. She picks the card up, noticing that there’s something written on it. Ambrož watches Oumou intently, curious to know what’s on the card. Oumou quickly reads the card, smiling at the sweet message. Oumou reads out loud what the card says for Ambrož to know, her voice filled with affection. Oumou Line 3) These are Přemysl’s words: “Hey! I didn’t know what to give you guys, but I know I didn’t want it to be something ephemeral like sweets. I wanted you guys to have something you could physically keep for a while and accumulate memories on, so decided that buying matching necklaces would do the trick… Oumou Line 4) I know these kinds of gifts tend to be more for best friends, but I thought it would suit you guys regardless. Sorry if it’s weird. I hope my reasoning makes sense. Please enjoy!” Ambrož’s face morphs into a sentimental expression. He examines the necklace, speaking appreciatively. Ambrož Line 5) I think it does suit us. I love it so much~ Oumou glances at Ambrož bittersweetly, speaking apologetically. Oumou Line 6) I’m sorry, Ambrož… Ambrož glances at Oumou in concern, sitting himself up on her couch in a serious manner. He speaks nervously. Ambrož Line 7) What do you mean? Is something wrong? Oumou speaks in a tone of guilt. Oumou Line 8) Yeah. I’m so sorry for the way I treated you during the latter part of today. Oumou’s eyebrows furrow in regret. Oumou Line 9) Something concerning happened, and instead of giving you consolation, I lashed out at you, speaking resentfully because you wouldn’t do as I suggested. Oumou droops her head down in shame. Oumou Line 10) That’s not right. There must be more to why you don’t feel like going to the hospital, yet I completely disregarded those reasons, and I’m so sorry for not considering that. Oumou Line 11) Also, I apologize for my irritability when you said you couldn't explain why you thought you'd be fine*. *Refer back to episode 54, lines 68 and 69. Oumou looks up at Ambrož, her eyes filled with sincere remorse. Oumou Line 12) If you’re using “that” reasoning again, then this situation must correlate to it, and I have no right to dismiss or demean that. Oumou speaks in an accountable manner. Oumou Line 13) I let my emotions get the best of me. Sure, I was concerned, and I still am, but those feelings shouldn’t overpower certain things we have established in our relationship, yet I let it happen anyway. Oumou Line 14) I cannot transmit my affection for you by way of demands. If you agreed to what I suggested, then that would have only been to make me feel better, which isn’t an act of lo�" Oumou pauses her statement, not finishing the last word she instinctively tried to say. Ambrož smirks at Oumou touchingly, understanding why Oumou stopped her statement and putting the pieces together on what the last word she tried to say was going to be (“love”). Oumou clears her throat, trying to figure out her words. She speaks awkwardly, sincerity noticeable in her voice regardless of her anxiousness. Oumou Line 15) Um. What I’m trying to get at is that if you had agreed, that would have been a response out of guilt. I shouldn’t have demanded you go to the hospital when I could’ve gently requested that you do so instead. Oumou Line 16) I wasn’t considering your thoughts and perspective. I just instinctively went into panic mode, and that suffocated the gentle reasoning behind why I want you to go to the hospital, which is because I want you to prioritize your health. Oumou speaks ashamedly. Oumou Line 17) I’m pretty sure it’s obvious that I want you to get a check-up sooner or later anyway, but I’m still sorry for getting so riled up earlier and acting immaturely. Oumou speaks leniently. Oumou Line 18) You can honestly leave if you want to. I won’t force you to stay the night, even though I think that you ARE feeling sick. Based on how warm you are to the touch. Ambrož sits up, removing the rag from his forehead and scooting over on the couch for Oumou to sit next to him. He pats the space next to himself welcomingly, with Oumou timidly getting up to sit beside him. He puts his blanket over her shoulder, connecting the two of them, then embraces her in for a hug. He shuts his eyes, happily engulfing himself into her arms. Oumou shuts her eyes as well, burying her face into Ambrož’s shoulder while she wraps her arms around his body tenderly. Ambrož speaks sympathetically. Ambrož Line 19) You have nothing to be sorry about, sweetie~ Ambrož Line 20) Demanding something out of caution isn’t a bad thing at all. You were just worried for me, and I fully understand that. Ambrož speaks appreciatively. Ambrož Line 21) It makes me so happy to even have someone worry about me in such a manner, even though I don't want you to worry at all. Ambrož Line 22) It’s truly a blessing. I’m so grateful to have someone as spectacular as you care about me to this extent. Ambrož speaks apologetically. Ambrož Line 23) I’m the one who’s sorry for making you worry so much. Ambrož Line 24) I shouldn’t have disregarded your concerns and instead done something to put your mind at ease. Your requests are simple, and I should abide rather than put off. Ambrož thinks through his thoughts analytically, trying to come up with ways to maneuver Oumou's ease. Line 25) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: The main reason I disregarded Oumou’s request is because getting a check-up at the hospital is useless for me. I’m practically a walking dead person. Line 26) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: I’m sure I’d freak the doctor out when they realize I don’t have a pulse. That would only cause more worries that aren't explainable unless I admit to being a vampire. Line 27) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: Getting this check-up is a one-way ticket to outing myself. But if it puts Oumou at ease, I should definitely consider it. Maybe there’s a way I can compel the doctor into giving me a fake consultation to show Oumou that I’m okay. Line 28) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: But then again, I’m taking valuable time away from the doctor helping people who are in actual need. That doesn’t sit right with me. Ambrož speaks in a validative manner. Ambrož Line 29) The unexpected happened today. It’s only natural that you feel worried for me. Ambrož speaks in a tone of guilt. Ambrož Line 30) Again, I’m sorry for causing you such distress. I don’t blame you for feeling frustrated with me for continuously using what I’m withholding from you as an excuse. Ambrož speaks suggestively. His voice filled with notes of hesitancy. Ambrož Line 31) I can let you know what that is if you've changed your mind on waiting till you're ready*. *Refer back to episode 51, lines 98 and 100. Upon realizing the reasonableness of such a confession, Ambrož tilts his head to the side comprehendingly. Line 32) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: It seems like the most convenient way to put Oumou at ease is by admitting to her that I'm a vampire. I know she said she's not ready, but it seems like she might have changed her mind. Line 33) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: If that's the case, right now seems like the perfect time to admit to everything. I'm still hesitant about it and all the uncertainties that come along with such a confession, but it doesn't seem unreasonable to fess up to things at this moment. Oumou speaks in a clarifying manner. Oumou Line 34) I thought about changing my mind, but I wasn’t thinking logically. Can you still wait for me? Ambrož releases a sigh of relief. Line 35) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: We still have time. Ambrož pulls back from Oumou, caressing her face gently. He offers her a welcoming smile, speaking patiently. Ambrož Line 36) Of course, I can~ Take all the time you need. I’ll wait however long it takes. Ambrož Line 37) Let me know if there’s a way I can make things up to you after causing such worry. Oumou lets out a chuckle of irony. Oumou Line 38) I’m the one who should be proposing such an idea. Ambrož grabs the necklace Přemysl gifted him that he set to the side, putting it on Oumou. She turns around for him to fasten the clasp, causing him to face her from behind. His gentle touch leaves Oumou feeling ticklish, inducing the hairs on the back of her neck to stand up. Ambrož warmly hugs Oumou from behind, placing his head on her shoulder. Oumou hugs Ambrož’s arms lovingly. Ambrož places his lips on Oumou’s neck, planting a long peck as he holds her affectionately. Oumou’s eyebrows furrow from the flustering gesture, causing her to blush immensely. Ambrož smothers the back of Oumou’s neck in kisses, her body twitching from the tingly sensations. Oumou boldly looks over her shoulder to face Ambrož flusteredly. She questions him timidly. Oumou Line 39) W-What’s up with you and the back of my neck? Ambrož lets out a chuckle, elaborating teasingly. Ambrož Line 40) You’re just the perfect height for me to easily lean in and kiss your neck~ Ambrož snuggles into Oumou’s neck, blushing from his affection for her. He continues explaining, speaking fondly. Ambrož Line 41) You also smell the sweetest here~ Your perfume and hair care products happily infuse my nose with each kiss~ Ambrož lifts his head to face Oumou, their gazes interlocking. He questions her in a serious manner, an expression of concern etched onto his face. Ambrož Line 42) Do you not like it? Want me to stop? Oumou answers in embarrassment. Oumou Line 43) U-Uh, n-no… I was just wondering why you tend to go for the back of my neck. I didn’t expect there to be an actual reason. Oumou shyly glances at Ambrož, with him greeting her with a huge grin on his face. He embraces her once again, snuggling into her body in joy. Oumou questions Ambrož in a manner that seeks assurance. Oumou Line 44) So, I take it that you’re not going to go back to your place? Ambrož explains himself passionately. Ambrož Line 45) Who in their right mind would want to leave their girlfriend just to go back to their place where they'll be all alone? Ambrož speaks in a playfully crushed tone. Ambrož Line 46) Plus, I’m interested in your pampering plans. You can’t just show me everything and then request I leave when I’m already all excited! Oumou smiles at Ambrož bashfully. Oumou Line 47) Well, as I mentioned, you seem sick to me, so I guess it’s suitable to pamper you regardless. Ambrož responds cheerfully. Ambrož Line 48) That’s like music to my ears~ By all means, please continue~ Oumou gets up, quickly grabbing her necklace from Přemysl to put it on Ambrož. He stares at her yearnfully, causing her to blush as she fastens his necklace. She signals for him to lie down, covering him with his blanket so that he can get comfy again. As Oumou looms over Ambrož, she submerges the rag from earlier back in hot water (there is a kettle and bowl placed next to the couch on a nightstand), ringing out the water and placing it on his forehead. Ambrož speaks slickly. Ambrož Line 49) Hey~ I know you think I’m sick, but I’m still allowed to kiss you whenever I want to*, right? *Ambrož is saying this because on Oumou’s birthday (when they got together) he asked her if it was okay for him to kiss her whenever he wanted to, and she gave him permission (refer back to episode 36, line 101, etc). Oumou blushes, speaking flusteredly. Oumou Line 50) Um. What a strange question, but I-I don’t notice any throat problems or any contagious symptoms on your part, so I don’t see why that shouldn’t be on the table. Ambrož questions Oumou teasingly. Ambrož Line 51) What if I was contagious? You wouldn’t want to kiss me then? Oumou answers reasonably. Oumou Line 52) Of course not, because then I’d get sick. Ambrož responds in a playfully offended manner. Ambrož Line 53) Isn’t that the whole point? I know that I’d get sick with you. I wouldn’t be able to wait until you’d get better. Ambrož speaks devotedly. Ambrož Line 54) If you’re going to be sick, we might as well be sick together. I wouldn’t want you to feel left out. Oumou’s eyebrows slant sentimentally from Ambrož’s wholesome intentions. She answers in a tone of concern. Oumou Line 55) I wouldn’t allow you to do that. Ambrož speaks determinedly and playfully defeated. Ambrož Line 56) I’d do it regardless. But I take it that you wouldn’t want to kiss me when I’m sick, right? Oumou considers Ambrož’s points, coming up with another question for him, playing devil’s advocate. Oumou Line 57) Hold your horses. If I were to kiss you right now, wouldn’t you stop me knowing that this sickness could potentially be contagious? Ambrož realizes Oumou's point, his eyes widening from the adequate reasoning. Ambrož Line 58) That’s a good point. In that case, I would stop you to protect you. But if the roles were switched, I would still kiss you, even if you wouldn’t want me to because you're worried about infecting me. Oumou brings herself closer to Ambrož, speaking playfully. Oumou Line 59) Well, then, I’m doing the same thing despite you wanting to protect me from your sickness. It’s only fair. Oumou places her lips onto Ambrož’s, enveloping both of their mouths into a kiss. She closes her eyes, placing her hands on his chest as they kiss each other upside down from each other’s points of view. Ambrož indulges, holding Oumou's face tenderly and slightly pushing her head into his lips to further engulf them in their osculation. Oumou stops, pulling herself away from Ambrož teasingly. Ambrož eagerly reaches for Oumou’s hands, gently pulling her body into his. He questions her desperately, his face flushed from their intimacy. Ambrož Line 60) Is that it? Where do you think you’re going? Oumou speaks playfully. Oumou Line 61) Learn some restraint, Ambrož. Ambrož swiftly goes to hug Oumou’s upper body, with the two of them continuing to be upside down from each other according to their points of view. He pulls her body into his, causing her to be leaning against the couch, feet off the ground from the drag. She questions him playfully. Oumou Line 62) What do you think you’re doing? Ambrož pouts his lips, speaking yearnfully. Ambrož Line 63) Don’t stop. Get over here. Oumou gives in, speaking obligingly. Oumou Line 64) Fine fine. I’m coming. Oumou unbinds from Ambrož, coming over to him right side up to continue their canoodling. She lays on his chest, glancing at him bashfully. She speaks timidly. Oumou Line 65) Happy now? Ambrož nods his head smugly, gently leaning his lips into hers. They continue cuddling and kissing each other, snuggling into each other fondly. *Shot cuts to Přemysl fresh out of his shower, heading over to his room while checking his phone for any updates on Theo before calling it a night. He notices no notifications from Theo, letting out a sigh of disappointment. Line 66) Přemysl’s inner thoughts: Expecting too much again*. I’m exhausted enough as it is. *Refer back to episode 52, lines 1�"4, etc. Přemysl tucks himself into bed, placing his phone on his nightstand in defeat. He stares at his ceiling hopelessly, feeling empty. His phone rings out various new notifications, causing his eyes to widen in hope. He sits up and swiftly grabs his phone, eagerly checking his texts. His eyes dial down when he comprehends that the texts are coming from Oumou and Ambrož (they made a group chat). Přemysl checks the texts, wondering what they’re messaging him for. Line 67) Oumou’s text message: Thank you very much for your thoughtful gift, Přemysl! It’s adorable! Line 68) Ambrož’s text message: We love it, Přem! Thank you for your consideration! Přemysl smiles at the texts, feeling fulfilled. He gets hit with a wave of shame from his behavior. Line 69) Přemysl’s inner thoughts: Here I am, brooding about Theo when Ambrož and I just patched things up as of yesterday. How ungrateful am I? Line 70) Přemysl’s inner thoughts: How could I ask for more? My family is finally whole again ♡ Přemysl responds to the text messages. Line 71) Přemysl’s text message: It warms my heart your guys’ appreciation! You guys are so very welcome! Line 72) Oumou’s text message: I promise to get you back with something grand! Line 73) Ambrož’s text message: Me too. Sorry for visiting empty-handed*. *Refer back to episode 52, lines 17�"19, etc. Přemysl replies reassuringly. Line 74) Přemysl’s text message: Don’t sweat it. And neither of you should feel obligated to get me something back. I’m the one that owed you two. Line 75) Oumou’s text message: Then it’ll be a surprise!🎁Just you wait! Přemysl chuckles. Line 76) Přemysl’s text message: I can’t wait. Anyway, you two shouldn’t be up so late. Hit the hay already. Line 77) Ambrož’s text message: Ditto. Get some sleep, you! Good night!🌙 Line 78) Přemysl’s text message: You got it. You guys have a goodnight. �'� Line 79) Oumou’s text message: Have a goodnight, Přemysl! Sweet dreams! ⏾ Přemysl turns his phone off, getting snuggled up in bed for the night. He lets thoughts of appreciation engulf his mind. Line 80) Přemysl’s inner thoughts: I’d be too needy to anticipate more. Things are great the way they are. Line 81) Přemysl’s inner thoughts: Ambrož and Oumou are very important to me. I am committed to strengthening our connection with each other and all together. Line 82) Přemysl’s inner thoughts: After all, Oumou is practically like an in-law. Sooner or later, she’ll be a part of this family. Přemysl gets another text notification coming from his phone. He comes to a conclusion, sitting himself up to retrieve his phone. Line 83) Přemysl’s inner thoughts: Seems I forgot to put my phone on silent. I wonder what those two texted�" Přemysl observes a text message from Theo in surprise. He stares at the message in disbelief. Line 84) Theo’s text message: Hey. Are you up by any chance? Line 85) Přemysl’s inner thoughts: He’s… h-he’s actually texting me! Přemysl responds swiftly. Line 86) Přemysl’s text message: Hey. I’m still awake. Are you doing okay? Přemysl’s text screen gets interrupted by Theo’s call log. Přemysl stares at his phone in disbelief from Theo suddenly calling him. He hesitantly answers the call, placing his phone to his ear apprehensively. Some awkward silence goes by between the two of them. Theo speaks confusingly. Theo Line 87) Uh. Hello? Přemysl answers frantically. Přemysl Line 88) Oh! Uh. Hey. Can you hear me? Theo speaks curiously. Theo Line 89) Yes. Why are you still awake so late into the night? Přemysl speaks awkwardly, not knowing how to respond to Theo. Přemysl Line 90) Um. I could ask you the same thing. What’s up with the texting and calling out of the blue? Theo releases a hesitant sigh. Přemysl bites the nail on his thumb nervously. Theo speaks sternly. Theo Line 91) I’ve made up my mind*… *Remember that Přemysl politely asked Theo to give him his verdict on his feelings about confessing to the fact that he’s a vampire (refer back to episode 49, line 69). Přemysl’s eyes bulge in shock from Theo processing his confession rather quickly (remember that it’s been a day since they confessed). He speaks anxiously. Přemysl Line 92) T-That was quick… Přemysl questions Theo apprehensively. Přemysl Line 93) So, what’s it gonna be? Theo speaks inquisitively. Theo Line 94) Are you free right now? Přemysl speaks in a manner of concern. Přemysl Line 95) I guess so. But there’s no way you’re free right now. It’s way too late to meet up with each other. Theo speaks dismissively. Theo Line 96) Don’t worry about it. I’ll be at your place in 20 minutes. Přemysl speaks frantically. Přemysl Line 97) What? You shouldn’t sneak out! Přemysl questions Theo in confusion. Přemysl Line 98) Besides, what are you coming to visit me for? Just tell me how you feel over the phone. Theo answers sternly. Theo Line 99) I need to tell you how I feel to your face. Not through the phone. Theo speaks desperately. Theo Line 100) … I need to see you. Přemysl’s heart drops to his stomach, feeling nervous. End of episode.
