Přemysl freezes in his stance from Theo’s determination in wanting to know what he has been hiding from him. He contemplates his emotions in his head. Přemysl’s narration: Line 1) Calm down, Přemysl… Line 2) The New Year is approaching. I can’t make rash decisions at the last minute when they have huge consequences. Přemysl taps his head in distress. Line 3) I should’ve just kept my mouth shut. Line 4) I really do keep slipping up in front of Theo. Line 5) I lose control of myself. Line 6) I need to take a breather and apologize. Now isn’t the right time to reveal my true identity. Line 7) I need to severely think things through. I can't go around making any more mistakes than I already have. Line 8) Sure, I feel bad for hiding a huge part of my identity from Theo, but that doesn’t mean I owe him an explanation. Přemysl’s eyes glisten anxiously. Line 9) Revealing myself at this very moment goes against everything I believe in*. *Remember that Přemysl believes vampires and humans shouldn’t get close to each other due to his paranoia from his past trauma (refer back to episode 8, line 9, etc). Line 10) My emotions are extremely heightened right now; thus, I’m not thinking logically. Přemysl makes his way over to Theo’s bed, seating himself down in exhaustion. Theo glances at Přemysl in confusion, making his way back over to his desk, facing Přemysl. Přemysl takes in a deep breath, gazing into Theo’s eyes apologetically. Přemysl Line 11) Um. I’m really sorry about that… Theo replies disconcertingly. Theo Line 12) I don’t get it. Aren’t you going to tell me what you’ve been lying about*? And what did you mean that you’re “taking advantage of me*”? *Refer back to episode 44, line 105. *Refer back to episode 44, line 95. Přemysl responds apprehensively, glancing at Theo hesitantly. Přemysl Line 13) Now’s not the right time. The New Year is just around the corner. Přemysl speaks suggestively. Přemysl Line 14) Let’s just put this to the side and enjoy the holiday. Přemysl speaks in a manner of remorse, glancing at Theo in immense guilt. Přemysl Line 15) I’m sorry for yelling at you after you conveyed that from your perspective, you believe you understand me*. *Refer back to episode 44, lines 83�"104, etc. Přemysl droops his head down ashamedly. Přemysl Line 16) I got too emotional. Your statement struck a nerve within me. Přemysl scrunches his hair in regret, gritting his teeth. Přemysl Line 17) I should’ve just bit my tongue and settled down instead of causing a scene, especially since today’s a holiday. Přemysl shrugs his shoulders in defeat, speaking upsettingly. Přemysl Line 18) You can say you understand me all you want. I shouldn't have gotten so upset. Přemysl speaks in a tone of embarrassment, averting his gaze from Theo’s in shame. Přemysl Line 19) I hope I didn’t freak you out by lashing out like that. Theo responds in a manner of concern, his eyebrows curving into an expression of worry. Theo Line 20) Not at all. I’m just worried about you, Orlin. Theo speaks in a tone of reassurance. Theo Line 21) You can reveal your secret to me another time. There’s no pressure in letting me know now. Theo speaks in a manner of guilt, thinking that he’s pressured Přemysl. Theo Line 22) Or, you can continue to keep your secret hidden. Don’t feel the need to tell me whatsoever*. *Refer back to episode 44, line 52. Theo speaks in a tone of consolation, trying to ease the tension between him and Přemysl. Theo Line 23) Everything is up to you, alright? Think things through more rationally. Theo Line 24) I’m always here for you when you come back to me level-headedly. Theo speaks apologetically. Theo Line 25) I’m so sorry for causing you distress. Přemysl responds reassuringly. Přemysl Line 26) You didn’t. I’m the one causing my own distress. Přemysl speaks disappointedly. Přemysl Line 27) I really do have a bad temper*. How can I be yelling one moment, then beg for forgiveness the next? *Refer back to episode 44, lines 16 and 48. Přemysl rubs his head hopelessly. Přemysl Line 28) I’m so fluctuant. My statistics are going up and down every second on a chart. Theo releases a chuckle of amusement. Theo Line 29) That’s quite the analogy~ Přemysl smirks at Theo bittersweetly, feeling relieved from his laughter. Theo speaks reassuringly, glancing at Přemysl freshly. Theo Line 30) I forgive you, okay? Do you forgive me, too? Přemysl responds soothingly. Přemysl Line 31) You did nothing wrong, but sure. Theo extends his hand out to shake Přemysl’s hand. Přemysl extends his hand out as well, shaking Theo’s hand. Theo speaks embracingly. Theo Line 32) Despite the things we’re keeping confidential, I don’t see anything wrong with accepting us as we are. Theo speaks in a genuine manner, gazing into Přemysl’s eyes truthfully. Přemysl’s eyes slightly melt, feeling Theo’s authenticity surge through him. Theo Line 33) I accept you as you are, Orlin. Whether you think I understand you or not. Theo speaks in a wholesome tone, offering Přemysl a joyful smile. Theo Line 34) If you need me, I’m here for you. That’s what friends do. Theo glances at Přemysl yearnfully, anticipating to hear a positive answer from him. Theo Line 35) Can you just promise me that we’ll still be friends if the truth ever comes out? Přemysl responds in an uncertain manner. Přemysl Line 36) That’s all up to you, Theo. Not me. Theo speaks in a sincere tone. Theo Line 37) Then let me solemnly swear that I’ll accept you as you are, whether or not you reveal the truth to me. Theo elaborates passionately. Theo Line 38) I’m determined to prove you wrong so badly. There’s nothing that’ll sway me. Přemysl speaks in a tone of trust. Přemysl Line 39) Fine. I’ll believe you for now, then. Theo speaks in a playful manner, eager to hear Přemysl make a promise back to him. Theo Line 40) Make your promise as well, Orlin. Přemysl glances at Theo in annoyance at his unrelenting demeanor. He crosses his arms, rolling his eyes as he delivers his statement. Přemysl Line 41) When the truth is out, if I decide to reveal it to you, I can promise to still be your friend. Theo extends his hand out to Přemysl, all fingers tucked except his pinky. Přemysl glances at Theo’s finger questionably, wondering if an immature pinky promise is necessary. Theo glances at Přemysl sadly, pouting his lips and giving him puppy dog eyes as he wiggles his pinky, yearning for Přemysl to seal his promise. Přemysl gives in, interlocking his pinky with Theo’s sternly. Theo smiles at Přemysl warmly. A pinkish hue encompasses Přemysl’s cheeks, feeling flustered by the gesture. His lips slightly curl into an unwanted smile. Theo’s mother calls for the both of them to head downstairs. Theo swiftly checks the time on his phone for confirmation. His eyes bulge in realization. He speaks in a tone of excitement. Theo Line 42) There’s only 3 minutes until the New Year’s! *Shot cuts to Oumou, her parents, brother, and Ambrož bustled up outside of the “ball drop” in downtown Detroit after hanging out in a café*, holding cups of hot chocolate to clink together when midnight rolls around. *Refer back to episode 43, details in between lines 15 and 16. Other people gather around, watching the countdown for the letter “D” for Detroit to drop for the New Year’s. Ambrož glances at Oumou happily. She smiles back at him cheerfully, speaking in a tone of disbelief. Oumou Line 43) Any minute now, and it’ll be time. Ambrož speaks affectionately. Ambrož Line 44) I wish you the best this year, Oumou~ Oumou glances at Ambrož touchingly, her eyes sparkling with joy. Oumou Line 45) Ditto, Ambrož. I’m excited to embrace this new chapter for the both of us. Oumou speaks in an authentic manner. Oumou Line 46) You mean a lot to me. I hope we'll continue being with each other. Ambrož gazes into Oumou’s eyes promisingly. He responds reassuringly. Ambrož Line 47) I’m not going anywhere. Ambrož and Oumou gently interlock their hands with one another. Oumou whispers into Ambrož’s ear, speaking in a flirtatious tone. Oumou Line 48) I would kiss you in a heartbeat if my family weren't here right now~ Ambrož releases a giddy chuckle from Oumou’s whisper, tickling him. His face flushes into a blush from her smug remark. He whispers back into her ear, speaking in a mutual manner. Ambrož Line 49) I was just about to say that~ Oumou’s mother speaks in a tone of excitement. Oumou’s mom Line 50) There are only ten seconds until midnight, guys! Everyone bustles up, glancing at the countdown, ready to clink their cups of hot chocolate together. Lamine Line 51) 3… 2… 1… They all clink their cups together, watching the letter “D” for Detroit drop for the New Year’s. Cheerful music plays on the speakers downtown, with fireworks spurring into the air, getting set off for the Holiday. They all speak in celebratory manners. Everyone Line 52) Happy New Year! *Shot cuts to Přemysl and Theo, with the both of them and the rest of Theo’s family clinking their glasses of apple cider together. Everyone Line 53) Happy New Year! Přemysl glances at Theo happily. Theo puts his arm around Přemysl's shoulder cheerfully. Theo speaks in a tone of exhilaration. Theo Line 54) Let’s give 2005 our all! Theo puts his hand up for a high five from Přemysl. Přemysl glances at Theo appreciatively, high-fiving him in joy. Přemysl Line 55) You got it! Time passes with everyone enjoying the first moments of the New Year together, having all sorts of conversations excitedly. *Shot cuts back to Oumou, her parents, brother, and Ambrož. Ambrož speaks curiously. Ambrož Line 56) Are you feeling sleepy, Lamine? Lamine responds in a thrilling manner. Lamine Line 57) Not really. I actually feel quite pumped! Oumou’s father glances at his phone for the time. He speaks in a tone of disbelief. Oumou’s dad Line 58) Would you look at the time? It’s already been 30 minutes since the New Year started. Everyone glances at Oumou’s father in shock. Oumou speaks in a manner of surprise. Oumou Line 59) Jeez! Time is going by even quicker than before! Oumou’s father speaks responsibly. Oumou’s dad Line 60) Let’s head on back before it gets really late. We have a plane ride to catch early in the morning. They all proceed to the parking lot where Ambrož parked his car. They get into his car, with him dropping Oumou’s family off at their hotel. Ambrož parks his car, with everyone heading out to say goodbye to each other. Oumou glances at her family appreciatively, speaking in a grateful manner. Oumou Line 61) I was quite nervous seeing you guys earlier*, but I’m really happy you all decided to visit me for the holiday. *Refer back to episode 40, line 64, etc. Oumou speaks in an affectionate tone. Oumou Line 62) Thank you for the surprise. I appreciate all of your efforts~ Oumou’s father leans in to hug her. He speaks in a thankful manner. Oumou’s dad Line 63) We should be thanking you, ‘Mou. Thank you for welcoming us in so graciously. Oumou hugs her father happily. She speaks in a tender tone. Oumou Line 64) Thank you for hearing me out, Dad. I’m really happy that we’re turning a new page. Oumou’s father responds in an authentic manner. Oumou’s dad Line 65) I’m really glad, too. I wish you all the best with your aspirations! Oumou’s father caresses Oumou’s face affectionately, kissing her cheek lovingly. Oumou questions her family curiously. Oumou Line 66) What time are you guys leaving? Oumou’s mother responds reassuringly. Oumou’s mom Line 67) Very early, ‘Mou. Don’t worry about wishing us off at the airport. Oumou speaks in a tone of determination. Oumou Line 68) I insist. I’ll be up on time. Oumou’s mother speaks in a caring manner. Oumou’s mom Line 69) That won’t be necessary, dear. Get some rest instead. We’ll be fine. Oumou’s mother leans in for a hug as well. She speaks in a tone of delight. Oumou’s mom Line 70) It was such a pleasure seeing you, sweetheart~ We'll visit sometime soon again. Oumou replies in a manner of excitement. Oumou Line 71) That sounds great! Thank you, Mom~ Lamine hugs Oumou appreciatively. He speaks in a yearnful voice. Lamine Line 72) We’re going to miss you, ‘Mou. Oumou’s eyebrows melt from her brother’s touching remark. She responds bittersweetly, savoring this moment with him in a tight embrace. Oumou Line 73) I’m going to miss you guys, too~ Oumou’s father speaks in a comforting manner. Oumou’s dad Line 74) We’re relieved to know that you have someone like Ambrož by your side. Ambrož smirks at all of them wholesomely, replies bashfully. Ambrož Line 75) That means a lot, Mr. Sao*. Thank you~ *Remember that this is Oumou’s last name (refer back to episode 9, line 36, and episode 41, line 34). Oumou’s mother speaks in an eager tone. Oumou’s mom Line 76) Come in for a hug, Ambrož~ Ambrož raises his eyebrows in surprise. They all glance at him welcomingly, opening their arms in for a group hug. Ambrož timidly leans into everyone, hugging them all back happily. Ambrož Line 77) It was delightful meeting you guys. Let’s keep in touch~ Ambrož’s eyebrows melt into a sentimental expression. Ambrož’s narration: Line 78) It’s been so long since I’ve been affiliated with a full family. Line 79) I forgot about the warmth that such a connection instills. Line 80) It’s healing to be brought back to such a familiar feeling. Line 81) When I close my eyes, I can imagine hugging my parents, and Přemysl. Line 82) Hey, mom and dad. How’s it going? Line 83) I hope you guys are doing well in the afterlife. Line 84) You all will be in my heart forever, no matter how much time has passed since I last saw your faces. Line 85) You all may be confused as to where Přemysl is, but I’m sure he’s thinking of you guys right now, too. *Shot cuts to Přemysl conversing with Theo’s family happily. Line 86) This is my girlfriend’s amazing family! Line 87) I’m sure you all approve of them. You would’ve gotten along well together. Line 88) Thank you for watching over me and granting me this wonderful blessing! Ambrož and Oumou bid her family goodbye and drive back to their apartment complex. Oumou leads herself to her apartment door, glancing back at Ambrož, anticipating that he will be behind her. She glances at him in confusion when she notices him at his door. He glances at her in confusion as well, approaching her for a hug. The both of them embrace each other happily. Ambrož speaks amusingly. Ambrož Line 89) I had a great time tonight. It was so great meeting your family. Oumou responds compassionately. Oumou Line 90) I am very glad to hear that~ The both of them pull back from each other, glancing into each other’s eyes yearnfully. Ambrož places his hand onto Oumou’s cheek, gently caressing it fondly. He speaks in a tone of adoration. Ambrož Line 91) Do I have the honor of giving you your first kiss of the New Year’s, Oumou Sao? Oumou smirks, glancing at Ambrož timidly. Oumou Line 92) You do, Ambrož… Oumou stops her statement, glancing at Ambrož offendedly. She speaks curiously and apologetically. Oumou Line 93) Shame on me for not knowing your last name. What is it? Ambrož speaks in an accountable manner. Ambrož Line 94) That’s actually my bad. I never told you. Ambrož Line 95) I guess I might as well tell you my whole name. It’s Ambrož Jirka Hudec*. *Refer back to episode 1, line 4. Oumou smirks at Ambrož joyfully. Ambrož responds inquisitively. Ambrož Line 96) What’s your middle name? Oumou caresses Ambrož’s cheek warm-heartedly. She speaks to him flirtatiously. Oumou Line 97) It’s kiss me, Ambrož Jirka Hudec. Ambrož lets out a chuckle of amusement. They lean into one another, enclosing their lips into each other's mouths as they osculate. Ambrož wraps his hands around Oumou’s waist, earnestly holding her. Oumou continues holding Ambrož’s face tenderly, savoring the soft sensation of Ambrož’s lips kissing hers. Her eyebrows melt fulfillingly. Ambrož’s eyes curve pleasantly from the intimacy. He inhales the scent of Oumou’s vanilla-scented perfume, letting it transcend him into a trance. Continuing to engulf each other in their bind, they move their faces side to side as their lips envelope into one another's. Oumou gently pulls back, glancing into Ambrož’s eyes lovingly. She observes her smeared lipstick all over his lips amusingly. She softly attempts to rub it off of his lips, noticing that it won’t come off. Oumou Line 98) My lipstick isn’t coming off easily. Ambrož replies smugly. Ambrož Line 99) I want it to stay. It symbolizes the passion of our kiss~ Oumou speaks in a suggestive tone. Oumou Line 100) You should come inside so that I can take it off with my makeup remover. An idea comes across her mind. She brings it up in excitement.
