Ambrož somberly brings up being unable to continue his relationship with Oumou. Oumou’s smile drops, with her eyes looking at Ambrož in disbelief. She’s unable to say anything back. Ambrož glances at Oumou in guilt, speaking in a deeply apologetic tone. Ambrož Line 1) I’m so sorry. I’m not sure whether or not you want to hear my pathetic explanation, but I believe you deserve to know anyway. Ambrož Line 2) After the allergic reaction you had yesterday, I came to the realization that keeping my secrets under wraps from you is wrong*. *Refer back to episode 21, line 31, etc. Ambrož Line 3) As I mentioned on the night we first met when I was taking you home, the thing that I’m withholding from you has a lot to do with my identity*. *Refer back to episode 10, line 70. Ambrož speaks in a tone of remorse, drooping his head from feeling ashamed. Ambrož Line 4) Lately, anytime we have a conversation and I have to tell you things about myself, I've been sneaking in a bunch of lies. Ambrož Line 5) Because if I tell you the truth, it has to do with what I’m withholding from you. Ambrož Line 6) So, practically everything we’ve established together so far has been dishonest. Ambrož Line 7) I’ve been lying to you this whole time. Ambrož speaks in a deeply regretful manner. Ambrož Line 8) And I’m so sorry to have deceived you. Ambrož Line 9) I thought I would be able to just make this “version” of myself to maintain our relationship, but it's eating me alive, and I feel it in my bones that I'm not doing a good thing. Ambrož Line 10) I strive to be the most moral and ethical being I can be, but lying to you contradicts that. Ambrož Line 11) And you deserve a whole lot better than what I have to offer, Oumou. Ambrož speaks in a disappointed tone. Ambrož Line 12) I’m sorry that I pursued you improperly. I’m sorry to have put you through all of this for nothing. Ambrož rubs his head in distress. Ambrož Line 13) I feel utterly terrible knowing the amount of effort you have put into continuing this relationship with me was all a waste. Ambrož Line 14) You’re worthy of better. Ambrož Line 15) While we’ve only known each other for a little while, it’s best that we sever what we’ve got going on so that you can invest your efforts into something worthwhile. Ambrož eyebrows furrow in anguish. Ambrož Line 16) Again, I’m utterly sorry from the bottom of my heart for all I’ve done to you. Ambrož speaks in a melancholic tone, smiling at Oumou bittersweetly. Ambrož Line 17) I wish you all the best with your pursuits. I know you’ll become a singer in no time. Ambrož Line 18) I hope that you get all the good you deserve in this world. Ambrož Line 19) I feel like I owe you by revealing what I’ve been hiding*. *Refer back to episode 21, line 37. Oumou speaks in an assertive manner, glancing at Ambrož somberly. Oumou Line 20) I don’t want to hear it. Ambrož glances at Oumou in remorse. Oumou Line 21) Just because you’re breaking things off with me doesn’t mean you have to tell me what you’ve been hiding. You don’t owe it to me. That’s not fair. Oumou speaks in a sentimental manner. Oumou Line 22) The night we met, you said that no matter how close we get, you wouldn’t be able to tell me about what you’ve been hiding*. *Refer back to episode 10, line 69. Oumou Line 23) I told you back then that I was okay with you keeping that under wraps. And I still am okay with you keeping that to yourself. Oumou Line 24) I understand enough lately that it has a lot to do with your identity. I don’t want you to tell me about it if you don’t want to. Oumou Line 25) And I certainly don’t want you to tell me just because you think you owe me an explanation. Oumou speaks sternly. Oumou Line 26) You don’t want me to know, and I don’t want to know either. That’s final. We’ve already established that. Oumou speaks in a questionable manner. Oumou Line 27) What I don’t understand… is that you’ve been deceiving me? Oumou speaks in a tone of betrayment. Oumou Line 28) How exactly? What do you mean you’ve been lying to me this whole time? Oumou Line 29) Has everything you told me been a lie? Oumou speaks curiously. Oumou Line 30) So, you didn’t use to live in Wisconsin*? *Refer back to episode 10, line 21. Oumou Line 31) Are you not really 22 years old*? *Refer back to episode 12, lines 37-39. Oumou Line 32) Do you actually have a bachelor's degree in Anthropology*? *Refer back to episode 12, line 44. Oumou Line 33) Are you really taking a break from work because you’re burnt out*? *Refer back to episode 12, line 75. Oumou Line 34) Do you actually have a little brother*? *Refer back to episode 12, line 80. Oumou Line 35) Do you even care about my music career? Oumou Line 36) Do you really hate raisins*? *Refer back to episode 18, line 40. Oumou speaks upsettingly. Oumou Line 37) Are you really telling me that everything has been a lie? Ambrož itches his head in distress. He speaks anxiously. Ambrož Line 38) To an extent. Everything would make more sense if I just revealed my" Oumou interrupts Ambrož offendedly. Oumou Line 39) I already told you that I don’t want to hear it! Oumou speaks in a tone of disappointment. Oumou Line 40) Tell me as much as you can, but tell me only the truth. Oumou glances at Ambrož in concern. Oumou Line 41) What is the truth? Ambrož takes a deep breath, preparing himself for delving into his explanation. He speaks ashamedly. Ambrož Line 42) Firstly, my name isn’t Glyn. It’s Ambrož. Oumou speaks in a manner of disbelief. Oumou Line 43) A-Ambrož? What’s the point of lying about your name? Ambrož speaks in a regretful tone. Ambrož Line 44) This is a sorry excuse, but to conceal my identity. I can’t tell you anymore than that, but the truth is that my name really is Ambrož. Ambrož speaks authentically. Ambrož Line 45) Secondly, I did live in Wisconsin before moving to Michigan. I lived there for a couple of years with my brother. Ambrož Line 46) The reason I moved to Michigan was not necessarily because I find this state "fascinating”, as I’ve said in the past, but rather because I’m trying to get to the bottom of something. *Refer back to episode 12, line 25. Ambrož Line 47) It’s also the reason why I’ve been moving around the country*. The moment my brother and I get led down a dead end, we move*. *Refer back to episode 10, line 37. *Refer back to episode 8, line 4. Ambrož Line 48) About my age, I can’t tell you the truth, but I’m most certainly not 22 years old. Ambrož Line 49) About my degree, back when I got it, the title wasn’t necessarily classified directly as “Anthropology”, but it has a lot to do with the subject, along with a bunch of other aspects. Ambrož Line 50) I guess you can say that I’m quitting work because I really am burnt out, but it’s mainly so that I can divert my attention to getting to the bottom of my goal, which I can’t let you know about. Ambrož Line 51) When it comes to having a little brother, I really do have one, but we’re not blood related whatsoever. Ambrož Line 52) And his name isn’t Orlin*. I can’t tell you his real name because he hasn’t permitted me. *Refer back to episode 12, line 84. Ambrož Line 53) But the both of us are hiding the same secret and have fake identities. Ambrož speaks affectionately. Ambrož Line 54) About your music career, I truly do care about it, and I think you’re very talented. I know you have what it takes to make it. And you have my full support. I never lied about that. Ambrož speaks in a serious tone. Ambrož Line 55) And, yes. I really do hate raisins. They’re disgusting. Oumou laughs unexpectedly, taken aback from Ambrož’s response. She looks at him in an offended manner. Oumou Line 56) Don’t make me laugh. I’m supposed to be mad at you. Oumou speaks in a tone of seeking clarification. Oumou Line 57) So, anyway, you have kind of been lying, but mainly telling the truth? Ambrož speaks in a manner of guilt. Ambrož Line 58) I guess you could say that. But that doesn’t disregard the lies I have told you. Oumou speaks in a grudgeful manner. Oumou Line 59) You’re right. It doesn’t excuse them. Oumou Line 60) But it was all to keep your secret under wraps, so I kind of understand. Oumou speaks in an uncertain tone. Oumou Line 61) But I don’t get why you made this persona known as “Glyn”, just for my sake. Oumou Line 62) I told you from the start that I was okay with you keeping things under wraps, so why did you still lie? You should’ve just been yourself. Ambrož speaks in a manner of confusion. Ambrož Line 63) I don’t know why I went down this path either because I wanted to be truthful with you from the start*, but I guess the lies just came about to make myself seem more normal to you. *Refer back to episode 10, line 51. Ambrož Line 64) These are all just excuses. Once I started lying, I just couldn’t stop. I kept finding new loopholes to justify my actions. Ambrož speaks apologetically. Ambrož Line 65) I just want you to know that I’m really sorry about that. I take full accountability for it. And I’m not asking for your forgiveness when I clearly don’t deserve it. Oumou speaks sentimentally. Oumou Line 66) I’m not entirely happy to know that you’ve been lying to me either, but knowing that you were still YOU matters to me more. Oumou speaks in a manner of disbelief, containing notes of affection. Oumou Line 67) You helped me assemble my furniture because I insisted on compensating you for our failed date*. *Refer back to episode 10, line 41 and 91. Oumou Line 68) When I opened up to you about my friends not keeping in touch with me ever since I moved*, you were still so understanding and supportive of me, lending a helping hand when I needed it most. *Refer back to episode 13, details starting on line 13, etc. Oumou Line 69) When we talked about the unknown, like if mermaids existed*, what you would do if I became a zombie*, and things like that, you still indulged in our conversation happily. *Refer back to episode 13, line 77, etc. *Refer back to episode 14, line 29, etc. Oumou Line 70) You showed up to my concerts for support and took me to a playground to destress from the hectic week I had when I just moved to Detroit*... *Refer back to episode 16, lines 16-18. Oumou Line 71) Then, when I mentioned I really liked hanging out with you after work*, you continued my suggestion, later taking me to the bookstore* and keeping my preferences for the genres I favored in mind*. *Refer back to episode 16, line 88. *Refer back to episode 17, line 64. *Refer back to episode 17, lines 93 and 94. Oumou Line 72) Then, we went to the café; we had such an amazing conversation about food preferences, and you kept in mind everything I told you about*, not making me feel weird for thinking I’m so picky. *Refer back to episode 18, details starting on line 39, etc. Oumou Line 73) When I called you in the middle of the night because of my allergic reaction, you came instantly to help me*. *Refer back to the top of episode 20. Oumou Line 74) You’ve paid for everything, even when I insisted on chipping in. You drove me to and from places without any complaints, and you even lent me your expensive coat when I got drenched in the rain, eventually letting me keep it*. *Refer back to episode 14, lines 68-78. Oumou speaks in a manner of betrayment. Oumou Line 75) All of that wasn’t a lie, was it? Ambrož speaks truthfully, feeling touched by Oumou’s remembrance. Ambrož Line 76) Not at all. It was genuine. Oumou speaks in a curious tone. Oumou Line 77) Then, why did you do all of those things? Ambrož speaks in a melancholic manner. Ambrož Line 78) Because I like you. Oumou speaks agreeably, her eyebrows furrowing in sentimentality. Oumou Line 79) Well, I like you too, Ambrož. Oumou speaks in a tone of desperation. Oumou Line 80) So, don’t end things with me. Oumou speaks in a forgiving manner. Oumou Line 81) I can look past all the lies you told me if you’re willing to be truthful from now on. Oumou Line 82) Don’t make up any more lies. Just tell me the truth, and if you can’t, I’ll know it’s a secret, and I’m okay with you keeping that to yourself. Ambrož speaks in an upsetting tone. Ambrož Line 83) I can’t do that. Oumou speaks in a yearnful manner. Oumou Line 84) Why not? Ambrož speaks in a guilty tone. Ambrož Line 85) It’s not right for me to continue being with you if I can’t tell you the full truth. Oumou speaks stubbornly. Oumou Line 86) You don’t get to be the judge of that. I’m telling you right here right now that I’m willing to accept you regardless. Oumou speaks in a hopeless manner. Oumou Line 87) I don’t want to lose you, Ambrož, regardless of whether or not you deem yourself worthy of being with me. Ambrož speaks in a tone of disbelief. Ambrož Line 88) I don’t get what you see in me. How can you continue this relationship even after I’ve admitted to lying to you? Oumou speaks in a trusting tone. Oumou Line 89) Because I know that your intentions are good. You wouldn’t have admitted to everything you have just now if you didn’t consider how I was doing. Oumou speaks in an affectionate manner. Oumou Line 90) It’s obvious that you care about me, and I appreciate that and care about you too back. Oumou Line 91) I already told you from the first night we met that just because you have things you can’t tell me doesn’t mean you should hold yourself back from the things you can establish with someone*. *Refer back to episode 10, line 78. Oumou speaks in a sentimental tone. Oumou Line 92) You’re different, Ambrož. You’re unlike anyone I have ever met. Oumou Line 93) I know it’s cliché to say that, but I really do feel that way about you. Oumou Line 94) I don’t want to lose the first person that’s been so welcoming to me in this new chapter of my life. Oumou Line 95) It’s adamant that the both of us have connected together quite easily. Oumou Line 96) Whenever am I going to get the chance to meet someone like you? Oumou speaks in a yearnful manner. Oumou Line 97) I feel it in my soul that we have a lot of potential together, so don’t break things off, please. We can work things out with each other. Ambrož speaks in a tone of remorse. Ambrož Line 98) Do you want to know what I put into your drink yesterday? I can assure you it’s not some secret “home remedy recipe” that I’m trying to preserve*. *Refer back to episode 20, line 30.
