Ambrož and Oumou finish up their desserts and tea at the café, strolling around the area outside after they’re done, walking side by side. Ambrož speaks in a cheerful manner. Ambrož Line 1) I’m glad we stopped by that café. It was such a spontaneous decision, yet so worth the visit. Oumou speaks agreeably. Oumou Line 2) I agree. You would’ve thunk that such an amazing café was just around the corner. Ambrož comes to the realization of something upsetting. He speaks in a glum tone. Ambrož Line 3) … Things like that make me scared. Oumou tilts her head in confusion, glancing at Ambrož in worry. Oumou Line 4) What do you mean? Ambrož speaks in a somber manner. Ambrož Line 5) I’m just scared that I’m letting everything idly pass me by if that makes sense. Ambrož Line 6) Whether that be a person, place, or experience… Ambrož speaks in a tone of disappointment. Ambrož Line 7) I’m afraid I don’t realize what’s in front of me. Like I’m not stopping to smell the roses. Ambrož Line 8) I don’t want to look back at my life and feel regretful for not doing things. Ambrož Line 9) I always wonder what my life would be like if I went down a different path. Ambrož Line 10) A part of me feels like I’m missing out. Oumou reassuringly places her hand on Ambrož’s shoulder, glancing at him in a manner of consolation. She speaks in a comforting tone. Oumou Line 11) Cut yourself some slack, Glyn. You’re only trying your best. Oumou Line 12) This is your first time living. Of course, you don’t have everything figured out, and that’s okay. Oumou Line 13) Trust me when I tell you that everyone feels the same way. Oumou Line 14) That’s why you should be forgiving. Oumou Line 15) Don’t dwell too much on should’ve, could’ve, would’ve. Oumou Line 16) You’re exactly where you need to be. Oumou Line 17) You wouldn’t have gone down this path if it wasn’t the right one. Ambrož appreciatively smiles at Oumou, feeling his spirits lift. He speaks gratefully. Ambrož Line 18) Yeah, you’re right. Sorry for getting all sentimental like that out of the blue. Oumou speaks in an insistent tone. Oumou Line 19) That’s nothing to apologize for. If anything, I’m glad that you’re comfortable enough to open up about things like that with me. Ambrož speaks in a smug manner, trying to tease Oumou. Ambrož Line 20) I’m most definitely going down the right path if I’m conversing with you right now, huh? Oumou blushes, finding Ambrož’s remark ticklish. She clears her throat, wanting to switch the topic, but finding out that it feels sore, causing her to slightly wince from the strain. Oumou Line 21) I think I might have caught a cold that night I ran around in the rain*. *Refer back to episode 9, line 81, etc. Ambrož looks at Oumou in concern. Ambrož Line 22) Are you not feeling well? Oumou rubs her throat in discomfort. Oumou Line 23) TMI, my throat feels scratchy. Ambrož stops in his tracks, glancing at Oumou in worry. Oumou speaks in a tone of disappointment. Oumou Line 24) I didn’t take myself as someone that’s so susceptible to colds. Oumou disregards her symptoms, fanning her hand in a dismissive manner. Oumou Line 25) I’m sure it’s nothing that serious. Ambrož examines Oumou’s face, noticing the slight red rash that has formulated on her lips. He points at Oumou’s lips, speaking in a tone of concern. Ambrož Line 26) Has that mark always been there? Oumou touches her lips in confusion. She pulls out her phone, glancing at her camera to examine her reflection. Her eyes slant in confusion. Oumou Line 27) It kind of looks like a rash, doesn’t it? Oumou Line 28) It’s really subtle. No wonder I didn’t catch it earlier. Oumou Line 29) Maybe it’s a bug bite. Ambrož shakes his head no, bringing himself closer to Oumou to get a good look at her lips, adjusting his glasses*. *Remember that Ambrož wears fake glasses (refer back to episode 9, line 14, etc). Ambrož speaks in a nervous manner. Ambrož Line 30) I don’t think it’s a bug bite, but it most definitely looks like a rash. Ambrož Line 31) Is it bothering you? Does it feel itchy? Oumou touches her lips, getting a feel of the rash. She speaks in a tone of unease. Oumou Line 32) Now that you bring that up, it does slightly feel itchy. Ambrož speaks in a paranoid tone. Ambrož Line 33) Do you have a temperature? Oumou touches her forehead, unable to testify whether she does or not. Oumou Line 34) I don’t know. Can you check? Ambrož places his hand on Oumou’s forehead, feeling the warmth of its sensation. Oumou flinches from Ambrož’s touch, feeling the temperature of his cold skin*. *Since vampires’ organs don’t work, blood doesn’t pump through their bodies, thus they’re cold to the touch (refer back to episode 2, line 73, etc). Ambrož speaks in a manner of concern. Ambrož Line 35) You feel really warm. Ambrož Line 36) Is there anything else that feels off? Oumou speaks in a manner of indifference. Oumou Line 37) Not really. I feel pretty fine. Oumou Line 38) So, do you think it’s a cold? Ambrož speaks in an uncertain tone. Ambrož Line 39) I can’t say for certain. I’d take some medication when you get home if you have anything. Ambrož Line 40) I’m just confused as to why a rash developed on your lips. Ambrož Line 41) I’ve been with you for the latter part of the day. I would’ve noticed something like that earlier. Ambrož Line 42) Seems like it must’ve bubbled up recently. Ambrož Line 43) Has your throat been feeling itchy all day? Oumou Line 44) Not really. I started feeling this sensation not too long ago. Ambrož Line 45) Approximately when? Oumou Line 46) Honestly, like 20-ish minutes ago. Oumou Line 47) You know how colds are. They just hit you randomly on a late Tuesday afternoon, right? Oumou Line 48) Suddenly, it just becomes hard to swallow for some reason. Ambrož speaks in an inquisitive manner, wanting to get to the bottom of Oumou’s situation. Ambrož Line 49) How exactly does your throat feel? Ambrož Line 50) If it was just a cold, it’d feel sore, and you'd have a whole bunch of other symptoms like a runny nose and whatnot. But if it only feels itchy, that doesn’t seem right. Oumou speaks in an agreeable way. Oumou Line 51) Yeah. It feels slightly unusual. This current sensation isn't familiar to me. Ambrož tries to put the pieces together, wanting to come up with a conclusion to Oumou’s state. Ambrož Line 52) If you started feeling like this around 20 minutes ago, then that was after we left the café… Ambrož gets hit with the realization of Oumou’s circumstance. Ambrož Line 53) … Which only leads to one conclusion: this is a reaction from something you ate. Oumou speaks in a manner of disbelief. Oumou Line 54) You think this is an allergy? Ambrož Line 55) All of your symptoms point to that. Oumou looks at Ambrož in disconcertion. Oumou Line 56) I don’t have any allergies I can think of. Ambrož Line 57) It must’ve been something from the desserts. They were a bit exotic. Ambrož speaks in a worrisome manner. Ambrož Line 58) Can you walk normally? Do you feel disoriented? Dizzy? Oumou walks around in front of Ambrož, feeling fine. She speaks in a neutral tone. Oumou Line 59) I guess it’s just a mild reaction. Ambrož lets out a sigh of relief. Ambrož Line 60) Let’s stop by a local pharmacy to get you some allergy relief pills. Oumou nods her head agreeably. Ambrož and Oumou arrive at a local pharmacy, buying some allergy relief pills and water. They exit the store, with Oumou taking the pills. Ambrož Line 61) That should do the trick. Let’s get you home, alright? Oumou nods her head disappointedly, not wanting their hang-out to end. Ambrož drives Oumou home, arriving at her apartment. Ambrož speaks in a protective tone. Ambrož Line 62) If anything feels off, don’t hesitate to call me. Oumou speaks in a let down manner. Oumou Line 63) Got it. Thank you for helping me. Ambrož hands Oumou a bag containing the book they bought earlier*. *Refer back to episode 18, line 26, etc. Ambrož Line 64) Keep this with you. Oumou speaks in an appreciative manner. Oumou Line 65) Thank you. I’ll promise to keep it safe. I won’t start reading without you. Ambrož cheerfully smiles. Ambrož Line 66) Have a good night, Oumou. Keep me posted on your allergy. Oumou speaks in a tone of affection. Oumou Line 67) I will. Have a good night as well, Glyn. Ambrož and Oumou wave each other off, with Oumou heading inside, turning on her apartment’s lights to signify Ambrož’s drive off. Ambrož arrives home, checking up on Přemysl in his room. Přemysl sits at his desk, doing some homework. Ambrož speaks in a warm manner. Ambrož Line 68) Hey! I’m back. You doing okay? Přemysl speaks in a friendly tone. Přemysl Line 69) I’m doing well. How was your date with Oumou? Ambrož Line 70) Overall, it was great, but kind of ended off on a wary note. Ambrož Line 71) We stopped by a café and she slightly developed an allergy from something we ate. Ambrož Line 72) Luckily, I bought her some allergy relief, so she should be fine. Přemysl speaks in a manner of relief. Přemysl Line 73) Phew! I’m glad she’s okay. Ambrož Line 74) Me too. Besides that, how was school today? I know you mentioned you spoke with someone*. *Refer back to episode 17, line 59. Přemysl speaks in a tone of excitement. Přemysl Line 75) Yeah! The kid who sits beside me in chemistry showed me a flier of whether or not I wanted to join his club, and I said yes. Ambrož speaks in a curious manner. Ambrož Line 76) What’s this kid’s name? Přemysl Line 77) His name is Theo. He’s also a sophomore, just like me*. *Refer back to episode 8, line 51. Přemysl Line 78) He dresses in quite the edgy style, if I do say so myself. A peculiar fellow, to say the least. Ambrož speaks in an inquisitive tone. Ambrož Line 79) So, what club is it? Přemysl speaks in a smug manner. Přemysl Line 80) An occult club~ Přemysl speaks in a hopeful tone. Přemysl Line 81) This is exactly what I needed! It’ll be the perfect way for me to find out more info about vampirism. I really hit the jackpot with this one, huh? Ambrož nods his head, feeling happy for Přemysl. Přemysl hands over the papers on his desk to Ambrož. Přemysl Line 82) I’m filling out the club application form Theo gave to me after I agreed. Přemysl Line 83) I’m assuming he’s the club leader. Ambrož speaks in an interested manner. Ambrož Line 84) What will you guys be doing for the club? Přemysl Line 85) Theo mentioned exploring abandoned sites. An expression of fear comes across Ambrož’s face. Ambrož Line 86) That sounds a bit concerning. Přemysl speaks in a tone of encouragement. Přemysl Line 87) It’ll be fun! I’m killing two birds with one stone, finding out more about vampirism, and having an interesting extracurricular for college applications! Přemysl Line 88) You really weren’t kidding when you said I was overreacting yesterday*. *Refer back to episode 17, line 8. Přemysl Line 89) I’m glad things are looking up. Ambrož smiles at Přemysl happily. Ambrož Line 90) I’m glad, too. Start wrapping things up since school starts early in the morning. Přemysl speaks agreeably. Přemysl Line 91) You got it! Ambrož leaves Přemysl’s room, bidding him goodnight. He unwinds for bed, getting snuggled up for the night. As he sets his alarm to drive Přemysl to school tomorrow, Ambrož gets hit with a wave of uncertainty. Line 92) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: I can’t shake off this feeling of worry for Oumou. Line 93) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: I know I shouldn’t be such a negative Nancy, but her allergic reaction has me on edge. Line 94) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: I shouldn’t put my phone on silent just in case she calls me. Line 95) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: I mean, if it’s an emergency, logically she wouldn't call me first, but I’d rather be safe than sorry. Ambrož tries to engulf his mind with positivity. Line 96) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: Just be optimistic, Ambrož. It was just a mild allergic reaction. Ambrož’s eyebrows furrow in guilt. Line 97) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: I shouldn’t have stopped at the café earlier if I had known something like this would happen. Line 98) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: It’s ironic how I mentioned I don’t want to have any regrets, yet here I am feeling guilty after acting upon something*. *Refer back to lines 7 and 8 of this episode. Ambrož nods off to sleep, with many hours passing by. He gets a call on his phone, with the ringing noise waking him up. Ambrož’s eyes widen when he notices that Oumou is calling him. He quickly jolts up in bed, frantically accepting the call. He speaks in a manner of concern, his voice slightly cracking from his restless tone. Ambrož Line 99) Oumou! Are you okay?! Oumou speaks in a nasally manner. Oumou Line 100) G-Glyn. Can you come pick me up? I think something is wrong. End of episode.
