After finalizing the genre they want a book in, Ambrož and Oumou start looking for contemporary-styled books. Ambrož speaks in a curious tone. Ambrož Line 1) Anything in particular that you’re looking into? Contemporary books are so vast. Oumou shrugs her shoulders. Oumou Line 2) Not sure. I just want to find something interesting. Ambrož nods his head in agreeably. Oumou and Ambrož continue looking for books together. Oumou pulls out a book that catches her eye and takes a look at it. She examines the book cover, finding it appealing. She turns the book around, reading the blurb. Ambrož looms behind Oumou, noticing her attentive demeanor from the book. Oumou nods her head in confirmation. Ambrož speaks in an amusing tone. Ambrož Line 3) You seem to like that one. Oumou nods her head, speaking in an agreeable tone. Oumou Line 4) It seems interesting. Ambrož speaks in an inquisitive manner. Ambrož Line 5) What’s it called? Oumou hesitates, not wanting to reveal the book to Ambrož. She glances at him in a guilty manner, speaking in a timid tone. Oumou Line 6) I feel like you wouldn’t dig it. Let’s keep searching for something else. Ambrož observes Oumou's embarrassed demeanor. He speaks in a reassuring tone. Ambrož Line 7) If you find it interesting, I’m sure I’ll find it interesting too. Ambrož speaks in a manner of consolation. Ambrož Line 8) Don’t feel ashamed. This is a judgment free zone. Oumou gives in, tilting her head back, feeling flustered. She lets out a sigh, handing the book over to Ambrož. Ambrož glances at the book, keenly taking in what it brings to the table. The book’s title: “No longer rich like you’d wish.” Ambrož starts reading the back of the book, wondering if he’ll find it interesting. Oumou crosses her arms in embarrassment, looking away from Ambrož. The book’s blurb: Line 9) Leroy Trelawney was a successful CEO, inheriting the prestigious title from his family’s establishment. Line 10) All his life, financial repercussions never touched his soul, living lavishly ever since he can remember. Line 11) Securing a marriage with supermodel Josie Thomas, Leroy continues living his best life… Line 12) Until the day that his entire empire comes crashing down when he gets hit with the news that his family’s establishment went bankrupt. Line 13) The issue is that besides his family’s company, Leroy and Josie have nothing. Line 14) Being forced to sell his luxurious mega mansion and all sorts of high-end designer items, Leroy is left with barely a morsel of money left to himself. Line 15) Finally getting hit with the realization of how fortunate he’d been living his whole life, Leroy struggles to handle financial things, unable to pay for obligatory expenses due to him being broke. LIne 16) Disregarding his financial issues, Leroy’s most nail-biting fear was the thought that his bombshell of a wife would leave him because of his empty pockets. Line 17) Feeling scared of her abandonment, Leroy tries to exert all sorts of efforts to keep her by his side. Line 18) His wife, Josie Thomas, feels offended that Leroy fathomed the idea that she married him for his money. Line 19) Reassuring him that she’ll stay by his side, Leroy and Josie begin to rebuild their lives from the ground up, igniting a romance between them deeper than ever before. Ambrož smiles, finding the book’s hook interesting. He speaks in a reassuring tone. Ambrož Line 20) This book sounds great! Why don’t we buy it? Oumou glances at Ambrož in disbelief, not expecting for him to like it. She speaks in a reassuring tone, thinking Ambrož is faking his reaction. Oumou Line 21) You don’t have to pretend to like it, Glyn. Ambrož speaks in a serious manner. Ambrož Line 22) I’m not pretending. I actually really like it. You picked out a good book! Oumou speaks in an inquisitive tone. Oumou Line 23) You don’t think it’s weird? Ambrož speaks in a manner of validation. Ambrož Line 24) Of course not. These billionaire romances are such good reads. Oumou speaks in a timid tone. Oumou Line 25) … It’s a guilty pleasure. Ambrož speaks embracingly. Ambrož Line 26) Nonsense. I don’t feel ashamed. Should we buy it? Oumou smiles at Ambrož in delight. Oumou Line 27) If you say so. Oumou and Ambrož lead themselves to the checkout area of the bookstore, having the cashier scan the book for them to buy. They exit the bookstore, walking around the area together outside as the afternoon becomes evening. Oumou glances at Ambrož appreciatively. Oumou Line 28) Thank you for being so understanding. Ambrož speaks in a welcoming manner. Ambrož Line 29) Of course. Just like I said earlier, I’m free of judgment*. *Refer back to line 8 of this episode. Ambrož speaks in a tone of consolation. Ambrož Line 30) Don’t ever feel the need to hesitate. Feel free to open up about anything. I’m always here for you. Oumou’s eyebrows loosen in comfort, speaking in a sentimental manner. Oumou Line 31) You’re too kind. Oumou and Ambrož continue walking around the area together, stumbling into a café. Ambrož glances at the café intently, finding its atmosphere appealing. Oumou notices Ambrož’s observant demeanor. Oumou Line 32) Wanna head in? Ambrož glances at Oumou in delight, feeling happy that she read his mind. Ambrož Line 33) Why don’t we check it out? Oumou nods her head agreeably. Oumou and Ambrož head into the café ordering some sweets along with some tea. They seat themselves in a cozy area, taking in the welcoming environment of the café, perfectly pairing with the fall season. Oumou speaks affectionately, sitting in front of Ambrož, cupping her face with her hands keenly. Oumou Line 34) It’s always something so new with you~ Ambrož glances at Oumou with uncertainty. He speaks in an apologetic manner. Ambrož Line 35) Sorry if it feels disorienting. I’ll keep that in mind. Oumou speaks in a reassuring tone. Oumou Line 36) No need to be sorry. I should’ve clarified that I like how it’s something new with you every day. Oumou speaks in a tone of excitement. Oumou Line 37) It’s refreshing~ I’m on the edge of my seat. Ambrož blushes, feeling the butterflies in his stomach beam from Oumou’s remarks. He speaks in a flattered manner. Ambrož Line 38) It’s my pleasure~ I’m glad you feel that way. Oumou speaks in a curious tone. Oumou Line 39) Tell me something I don’t know about you. Ambrož feels stumped, not knowing what to say. He speaks nervously, saying the first thing that comes across his mind after some pondering. Ambrož Line 40) U-Um… I hate raisins. Oumou bursts into laughter, taken aback by Ambrož’s response. Oumou speaks in an apologetically giddy tone. Oumou Line 41) Sorry. I promise I’m not laughing at you. Oumou speaks in an agreeably. Oumou Line 42) I hate raisins too. Ambrož smiles, feeling validated by Oumou’s answer. Ambrož speaks in a reminiscent tone. Ambrož Line 43) I remember buying carrot cake one time on a whim, simply craving it and not batting an eye at the ingredients, only to find out that it contained raisins. Ambrož Line 44) You have no idea how defeated I felt when I dived into it, only left tasting soggy raisins. A shiver gets sent down Ambrož’s spine, feeling disgusted. Oumou speaks in a sympathetic manner. Oumou Line 45) That’s such a bummer. Ambrož Line 46) I don’t remember carrot cake ever having raisins, so I felt so shocked. Ambrož Line 47) Ever since then, I’ve felt so apprehensive about buying carrot cake ever again. Oumou smiles, finding Ambrož’s explanation amusing. She speaks in an inquisitive tone. Oumou Line 48) So, what’d you do? Did you throw the cake away? Ambrož glances at Oumou shyly, feeling ashamed. Oumou speaks in a curious manner. Oumou Line 49) You can tell me. Ambrož lets out a sigh, getting ready to delve into his explanation. Ambrož Line 50) I didn’t throw it away. At least, not completely. Ambrož Line 51) This might sound gross, but I scraped all of the buttercream frosting off the top of the cake, putting it in a bowl to save for later… Ambrož Line 52) Then I dug my fingers into the cake, crumbling it up to fish out the raisins. Ambrož Line 53) When I got all of them out, I rolled the cake crumbles into circles, coating the outside with the leftover buttercream to make them into makeshift “cake pops”. Ambrož Line 54) I assure you, my hands were clean. But, by the time I was finished, the mood was over. Oumou glances at Ambrož in amazement. Oumou Line 55) That’s so innovative of you! Kudos to you for not wasting food! Ambrož smiles, feeling fulfilled by Oumou’s input. Ambrož speaks in a curious manner. Ambrož Line 56) What about you? Tell me something I don’t know. Oumou thinks to herself, coming up with an answer. Oumou Line 57) Going hand in hand with our hatred for raisins, I’m quite the picky eater. Ambrož glances at Oumou in surprise. Ambrož Line 58) I didn’t take you as a picky eater. How so? Oumou Line 59) I would say I’m quite the foodie, but I’m heavily fussy when it comes to preferences. Oumou Line 60) For example, I don’t like a lot of cheese. Especially if it’s melted. Oumou Line 61) Cheddar cheese cut into cubes and served with grapes is delicious, but I wouldn’t necessarily eat that snack with mozzarella cheese, for example. Oumou Line 62) I only prefer mozzarella cheese on pizza, but not an excessive amount. Oumou speaks in a distasteful tone. Oumou Line 63) I want to like it, but something about the texture turns me off. Oumou Line 64) You’ll never catch me eating mozzarella with tomatoes and basil along with balsamic glaze on top. Ambrož speaks in a comprehensive manner. Ambrož Line 65) That’s understandable. What else? Oumou Line 66) When it comes to any sort of meat, it MUST be as tender as possible. Oumou Line 67) The moment I put it in my mouth and it’s too chewy, I’ll immediately spit it out. Oumou Line 68) Or, if I’m chewing meat and stumble into those fat particles that feel like I’m chewing on cartilage, that won't work. It’s why I hate ground meat. Oumou Line 69) That’s also why I usually don’t eat steak. It requires a lot of cutting for me to find the perfect bite that doesn’t contain any chewy stuff. The rest of it will go to waste. Oumou Line 70) When me and my family would eat all together, my dad was kind of like my food vacuum if I stumbled into things I didn’t want to eat. Oumou speaks in a passionately disgusted tone. Oumou Line 71) You know what else? I utterly despise it when meat tastes watery. Oumou Line 72) I feel like that primarily happens with chicken. Do you know how it sometimes contains a fridgey aftertaste? Ambrož nods his head agreeably. Line 73) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: I thought I was the only one who could taste that flavor. I assumed it was because of my heightened senses due to vampirism, but, I guess, Oumou’s sense of taste must be strong, too. Ambrož glances at Oumou appreciatively. Line 74) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: There’s something so validating about being recognized in such a manner. Ambrož chuckles. Ambrož Line 75) That’s honestly not too picky. Do you eat your veggies? Oumou Line 76) Ironically, I’m fine when it comes to veggies. Not so much when it comes to animal produce. Oumou Line 77) Another preference I have is that I like my eggs to be cooked a specific way. Ambrož speaks in a curious manner. Ambrož Line 78) How do you like them? Oumou Line 79) Cooked in any way that gets rid of the membraney texture at the top. Oumou Line 80) Do you know what I’m talking about? Like the boogery film that encloses the yolk? Ambrož chuckles from Oumou’s description, nodding his head in understandment. Oumou Line 81) If it’s sunny side up, it needs to be cooked all the way through to get rid of that slimy texture at the top. Oumou Line 82) This is why I usually eat my eggs sunny side down, if that’s even another method, so that both sides of the egg are cooked evenly but still contain the gooey yolk on the inside. Oumou Line 83) But, at the moment, I’m going through an egg ick. Oumou Line 84) There’s just moments where I really like eggs, or really hate them. Oumou glances at Ambrož’s expression, assuming he agrees with her picky categorization. Oumou Line 85) I know, right? Too picky, huh? Ambrož shakes his head no, explaining his reasoning. Ambrož Line 86) Not really. You just have preferences. Ambrož Line 87) Is that all? Oumou shakes her head no, glancing at Ambrož shyly. Oumou Line 88) This is going to be really specific, so brace yourself. Oumou Line 89) I bought this brioche bun filled with custard one time because it seemed yummy. Oumou Line 90) Like one does, I put it in the fridge to save for later. Oumou Line 91) As I was about to eat it, I noticed that while I was holding the bun, it seemed excessively wet, especially at the bottom. Oumou Line 92) I guess it got hit with a lot of condensation for whatever reason, but as I took a bite, the bottom just felt so soggy and moist… Oumou Line 93) Which completely made me feel so disgusted. Oumou speaks in a questionable tone. Oumou Line 94) So, I guess you could say I don’t like soggy and moist bread? Ambrož lets out a chuckle, with Oumou joining him. Ambrož speaks in a suggestive manner. Ambrož Line 95) Have you considered becoming vegan or vegetarian? Seems like your food preferences align with that diet. Oumou Line 96) I definitely have, but every time my nose gets hit with the smell of a burger, my mouth waters. Ambrož Line 97) I thought you said you don’t like ground meat*? *Refer back to line 68 of this episode. Oumou Line 98) Burgers are the only exception. I can’t resist. Ambrož chuckles. Oumou Line 99) I’m what they call a flexitarian, which means I occasionally eat meat. Ambrož Line 100) Good thing you told me about your food preferences early on. Now, I can take them into consideration. Ambrož Line 101) Since your dad doesn’t live in Detroit, I can step up in being your food vacuum*. I practically can eat anything. *Refer back to line 70 of this episode. Oumou Line 102) I wish I was like that. I can’t control the things I like or dislike. Especially when it comes to food, you know? Ambrož nods his head in an understanding manner. Oumou speaks in an appreciative tone. Oumou Line 103) Thank you for being so thoughtful. End of episode.
