On a hot topic of discussion, rambling about endless theories, Oumou mentions supernatural beings, questioning their existence to Ambrož. A nerve-wracking expression engulfs Ambrož’s face, with sweat accumulating on his forehead from the unexpected question. He takes in a deep breath, trying to contain his composure and regain his wits. Line 1) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: Why am I so shocked? This topic was bound to come up based on where the conversation was headed. Line 2) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: If anything, it’s quite convenient for her to bring this subject up. This is my opportunity to test Oumou*. *Refer back to episode 11, lines 84 and 85. Line 3) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: This is my way of indirectly asking her if she'll accept me as a vampire. Ambrož takes in a deep breath of anticipation. Line 4) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: Here goes nothing. Ambrož tries his best to speak in a nonchalant manner. Ambrož Line 5) They could be real. What would you think about that? Oumou thinks to herself, pondering the possibility. An expression of concern engulfs Ambrož’s face, eagerly anticipating Oumou’s response. He fidgets with his fingers nervously. Oumou speaks in a playful tone. Oumou Line 6) I was just asking as a joke. I didn’t think you’d take the question so seriously. Ambrož flinches, feeling put on the spot. He does a bad job of trying to defend his question. Ambrož Line 7) I-I’m just curious. I know it’s quite the fictitious question, but what if? Oumou speaks in a tone of excitement. Oumou Line 8) I feel like that’d be so cool! Ambrož looks at Oumou in surprise, not expecting her to answer in such a way. Ambrož speaks in a manner of disconcertion. Ambrož Line 9) W-Why? Oumou Line 10) Maybe I’m in the mood because Halloween is just around the corner, but I wouldn’t mind living among supernatural beings. As long as they don’t harm me. Ambrož speaks in a manner of curiosity. Ambrož Line 11) Aren’t you afraid? Oumou Line 12) It’s human instinct to be afraid of the unknown, so obviously I am, but just because it’s a bodily reaction, not because I’m actually afraid of these supernatural beings. Oumou glances at Ambrož in unease, speaking in an unsettling tone. Oumou Line 13) Except maybe for ghosts. Every now and then I get the heebie jeebies, feeling like I’m being haunted by one. Oumou Line 14) It doesn’t help that my family is superstitious, either. I grew up hearing all kinds of urban legends they’d tell me. Oumou speaks in a manner of relief. Oumou Line 15) Good thing I cleaned this place up really well when I first moved in. Hopefully whatever spirits are lurking around won’t feel angry with me since I'm keeping things tidy. Ambrož lets out a chuckle, covering his mouth with his hand from the unexpected laughter. Oumou glances at Ambrož in a manner of playful offense. Oumou Line 16) What’re you giggling about? I’m being vulnerable here. Ambrož speaks in a reassuring tone. Ambrož Line 17) Sorry. Your assertiveness is just so cute~ Oumou blushes from Ambrož’s remark, looking away from him in a playfully offended way. Ambrož speaks in a suggestive manner. Ambrož Line 18) Okay… So hypothetically, if I were a vampire, you wouldn’t hate me? Oumou rolls her eyes in a playful manner, speaking in a tone of disbelief. Oumou Line 19) What a silly question. Of course not. Oumou Line 20) As long as you don’t hurt others, I don’t see why you shouldn’t be accepted. Ambrož blushes at Oumou’s response. Line 21) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: Of course, she’s speaking in a manner of doubt because she can’t fathom the existence of vampires, but hearing her say she’ll accept me regardless makes my heart feel so warm. Line 22) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: Though I can’t use her response right now as a definitive answer to know whether or not she’ll truly accept me when the time comes where I reveal myself to her... Line 23) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: Her friendliness provides me with reassurance about pursuing a relationship with her. Line 24) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: I don’t feel as uncertain as I did yesterday*. Now I know for sure that Oumou isn’t that kind of person. There’s faith in people, after all. *Refer back to episode 11, line 76. Ambrož speaks in an appreciative manner. Ambrož Line 25) Thank you for that. Oumou glances at Ambrož with playful confusion. Oumou Line 26) Sure? Oumou speaks in an inquisitive tone. Oumou Line 27) Since I answered your weird question, answer mine. Oumou Line 28) On the topic of supernatural occurrences, what if a zombie apocalypse were to break out? Oumou Line 29) Let’s say I turn into a zombie. What would you do? Oumou Line 30) Would you kill me in self-defense, or would you find a loophole of some sort? Ambrož smiles, finding Oumou’s question amusing. He speaks in an affectionate manner. Ambrož Line 31) That depends on how ravenous you are. Zombies depicted in movies seem so wild. I’d have a hard time finding a loophole. Oumou speaks in a manner of playful offense, pouting her lips, and crossing her arms immaturely. Oumou Line 32) So you’d kill me? I see how it is. Oumou Line 33) Don’t expect mercy on my end if you’re in a similar predicament. Ambrož chuckles from Oumou’s demeanor. Ambrož Line 34) I never said I’d kill you. I’m just saying it’s a tough situation. Oumou speaks in a stubborn tone. Oumou Line 35) Nothing comes easy in this life. Ambrož speaks in a reassuring manner. Ambrož Line 36) I’d try my best to lasso you into a basement of some sort for safekeeping. Ambrož Line 37) Hopefully, a cure miraculously comes around so you can be human again. Ambrož speaks affectionately. Ambrož Line 38) The last thing I’d want to do is hurt you. Zombie or not. Oumou blushes from Ambrož’s hypothetical efforts. Ambrož Line 39) Do you think you’d be hostile towards me as a zombie, or would you recognize me and do everything in your power not to hurt me? Oumou speaks in a sassy manner, glancing at her nails in a playfully dismissive way. Oumou Line 40) That depends on how much you mean to me. Ambrož speaks in a flirtatious tone. Ambrož Line 41) In that case, challenge accepted. Oumou glances at Ambrož in a flustered way, rolling her eyes in a playful manner. The both of them continue on with their tasks, assembling necessary furniture and organizing clothes while talking with each other. Ambrož’s narration: Line 42) The conversation just continued flowing between us so naturally. Line 43) I’ve never experienced such ease speaking with someone only after just meeting them. Line 44) It’s apparent how much the both of us are interested in each other. Line 45) It makes me feel special to be prioritized in such a manner. Line 46) Though a part of me still feels guilty for continuing to blossom a relationship with Oumou when she’s not aware of who I truly am, my heart is telling me to continue. Line 47) I want this. I’ve waited ever so patiently for a connection like this to be established in my life. Line 48) Hopefully, it gets easier day by day to forgive myself. Why shouldn’t I be worthy of letting myself indulge? Line 49) After some time, the both of us were successfully able to finish our tasks. Line 50) Oumou finished organizing all sorts of items in her place, and I finished assembling her bed and desk. *It has become evening. Oumou glances at her apartment in satisfaction, feeling productive after finishing her duties. She speaks in a cheerful manner. Oumou Line 51) This place is starting to feel a lot homier~ Ambrož observes Oumou’s satisfaction adoringly. Ambrož Line 52) I’m glad to hear that you like it. Oumou affectionately looks at Ambrož, her admiration very adamant on her face. Oumou Line 53) I couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you very much. Ambrož blushes from Oumou’s flattery. He speaks in a bashful tone. Ambrož Line 54) It’s no problem. I’m glad I could contribute in a helpful manner. A thankful tone accompanies Oumou's words. Oumou Line 55) No really. You have no idea how happy I am that you helped me finish this before the weekday started. Oumou speaks in a shy manner. Oumou Line 56) I for sure need to make things up to you in a grander way, but will a hug and some takeout suffice for now? Ambrož speaks in a wholesome tone. Ambrož Line 57) Don’t feel obligated to make things up to me. I already told you that you don’t owe me anything*. *Refer back to episode 10, line 12. Ambrož Line 58) And it was my idea to grab a bite after we finished everything, so my treat*. *Refer back to episode 10, line 93. Ambrož speaks in a shy tone. Ambrož Line 59) … I wouldn’t mind a hug, though. Oumou’s face flushes red. She speaks in a timid tone, opening her arms awkwardly, swerving her head to the side, unable to look Ambrož into his eyes. Oumou Line 60) … Come here, then. Ambrož leans into Oumou’s arms, enveloping her into a polite embrace. Oumou freezes in her stance, feeling stumped on what to do with her arms. She steadily wraps them around Ambrož, embracing him into a proper hug, leaning her head on her chest from her tall height, hugging his much taller frame. Ambrož’s eyes melt close, savoring his hug with Oumou. They unbind from each other, both faces flushed from feeling flustered by the gesture. Ambrož changes the topic, trying to dissipate their romantic tension. Ambrož Line 61) So, what are you craving? Oumou Line 62) I was thinking some Chinese takeout. What about you? Ambrož happily smiles at Oumou, speaking in an agreeable tone. Ambrož Line 63) That sounds perfect! Ambrož and Oumou get situated into Ambrož’s car as they drive to a Chinese buffet. As they arrive, they are led by a host to their seats and dine in. After continuing to talk with each other at the buffet while they eat, Ambrož drives Oumou home, the both of them departing with each other in his car. *It is now night. Oumou Line 64) Did you leave anything at my place that you’d like me to fetch? Ambrož speaks in a cheerful tone, feeling Oumou’s sincerity and consideration. Ambrož Line 65) No~ I have all my belongings with me. Oumou speaks in a hesitant tone. Oumou Line 66) … That’s good. Oumou glances at Ambrož in a yearnful manner. Line 67) Oumou’s inner thoughts: I know that the both of us need to wrap the night up, but I really don’t want him to go. Oumou is suddenly reminded of something, her whole body jolting from the remembrance. Ambrož observes Oumou in confusion. Oumou Line 68) Your coat*! I should give that back! *Remember that Ambrož lended Oumou his coat when she got drenched from the rain, trying to make it to their failed date (refer back to episode 10, line 14). Ambrož speaks in a reassuring tone. Ambrož Line 69) Honestly, just keep it. Oumou speaks in an assertive manner. Oumou Line 70) I can't. It's yours. Ambrož speaks in a generous tone. Ambrož Line 71) And now it’s yours. Oumou speaks in a guilty manner. Oumou Line 72) But it looks so expensive. I can’t accept it. Ambrož speaks in an insistent manner. Ambrož Line 73) It suits you, though. Consider it a gift from me. Oumou speaks in a tone of refusal. Oumou Line 74) But you’ve already done so much. I can’t. Ambrož speaks in a reassuring manner. Ambrož Line 75) These things that I’m doing don’t need to be repaid. They’re priceless. Oumou speaks in an insistent tone, passionately defending her claim. Oumou Line 76) Listen, Glyn. I can’t accept it. You’ve already made the effort to come to my place today, help me out with tasks, treat me to dinner, and now you want me to keep your coat that looks like it was made for royalty. Ambrož speaks in a persistent manner. Ambrož Line 77) Don’t you know that it’s bad manners not to accept a gift? Oumou glances at Ambrož in defeat. Oumou Line 78) Fine. If that’s the way you’re going to be, I guess I’ll have to show out the next time we do an extravaganza like this. Ambrož chuckles, speaking in a tone of delight. Ambrož Line 79) I’ll be looking forward to that~ Oumou lets out a sigh of contemplation, glancing at Ambrož in a somber manner. Oumou Line 80) After the day I’ve had today, I really don’t want to go to work tomorrow. Ambrož speaks in an alluring manner. Ambrož Line 81) Then don’t. The fun doesn’t have to stop here. Oumou speaks in a playful tone. Oumou Line 82) That’s a really tempting remark, but I must resist. Ambrož speaks in a suggestive manner. Ambrož Line 83) Fine. Then how about I swing by your work after you’re done? Oumou speaks in a hesitant tone. Oumou Line 84) That’ll be quite late. Are you sure you’re up for that? Ambrož happily nods his head. Ambrož speaks in a tone of excitement. Ambrož Line 86) You’ll really let me hear you sing? Oumou blushes, feeling flustered by Ambrož’s keen interest. Oumou Line 87) Just do it discreetly. I’ll panic if I recognize you in the crowd. Ambrož chuckles, speaking in a reassuring tone. Ambrož Line 88) Don’t worry. I’ll be as stealthy as a chameleon. Ambrož Line 89) It’s a deal. I’ll see you then. Oumou speaks in an appreciative manner. Oumou Line 90) I can’t thank you enough for today. Oumou speaks in a sentimental tone. Oumou Line 91) My words are definitely not enough to express how deeply appreciative I am of everything you’ve done for me. Ambrož speaks in a flirtatious manner. Ambrož Line 92) Nonsense. She glances back at him, waving him goodbye. Ambrož sentimentally bids Oumou farewell, watching her walk into her apartment. She shuts the door, and Ambrož waits until she turns the lights on in her place. Ambrož drives off, with Oumou watching him leave from her window. Ambrož happily drives home, reflecting on his date fulfillingly. Line 97) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: What a great first date! Line 98) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: I feel like I’m already falling for her. Line 99) Ambrož’s inner thoughts: This is all so exciting! Ambrož arrives home, entering his house by unlocking the door with his key.
