How does Sotsona respond to everyone wondering about who she's going to marry?

Episode 93: 

The day is June 9th, 2024. It’s a Sunday nighttime.

Casimir asks about who Sotsona is marrying just to tease her, and everyone awaits an explanation from her.

Sotsona nervously looks at everyone around her.

She speaks in a hesitant tone.

Sotsona

Line 1) Uh. He isn’t anyone you guys know.

Hridyanshu speaks in an apprehensive tone.

Hridyanshu

Line 2) Don’t be offended, Sotsona, but I’m convinced that you’re actually getting married to no one.

Hridyanshu

Line 3) We don’t know him, but you won’t even offer us an explantation as to who he is.

Hridyanshu

Line 4) Sounds like you’re marrying a ghost.

Casimir looks at Hridyanshu skeptically.

Sotsona tries to justify herself, coming up with something off the top of her head.

Sotsona

Line 5) Well, the thing is, we just like to keep things private.

Nakari

Line 6) You won’t even show us a picture.

Zeren

Line 7) Don’t be mad, but I’m also convinced he’s not real.

Zeren

Line 8) We just know absolutely nothing about him.

Sotsona looks at Celestyn, Casimir, and Yuvin.

Yuvin looks at Sotsona nervously.

Sotsona speaks in an assertive tone.

Sotsona

Line 9) Sorry to put this bluntly, but I don’t owe you guys an explanation. Can I just keep this matter to myself?

Indazita justifies their curiosity.

Indazita

Line 10) I think what they’re trying to convey is that they’re looking out for you.

Indazita

Line 11) They just want to make sure that this guy you’re marrying is someone good.

Sotsona

Line 12) I understand, but I need you guys to just trust me.

Indazita

Line 13) It’s not that we don’t trust you. It’s just that you’re quite the enigma. We’re intrigued to know the full story.

Sotsona speaks in a sympathetic tone.

Sotsona

Line 14) I get it. You guys are my coworkers, after all. Of course, you’d be interested. But, like I said, he’s not someone you guys know.

Sotsona

Line 15) I just need to keep this to myself for a little while longer. I assure you that when the time is right, you’ll get to know. Sorry for the hold-off.

Hridyanshu snaps his fingers in realization.

Hridyanshu

Line 16) Wait. I got it! He’s some sort of big shot, right?

Sotsona looks at Hridyanshu in confusion.

Zeren speaks in an agreeable tone.

Zeren

Line 17) That must be the case! Is he someone famous?

Sotsona hesitantly replies.

Sotsona

Line 18) I wouldn’t say famous. But prestigious? Sure.

They all “oh” in unison, besides Casimir, Yuvin, and Celestyn.

Indazita speaks in an understanding manner.

Indazita

Line 19) Why didn’t you say so before? It makes sense why you wouldn’t be able to disclose such information.

Sotsona speaks in an oblivious tone.

Sotsona

Line 20) I don’t know. I guess it just seemed like I couldn’t tell you guys about it.

Hridyanshu

Line 21) So, you have to keep things under wraps because it can fiddle with his reputation, right?

Sotsona speaks in a passionate tone.

Sotsona

Line 22) Exactly! That’s why things have been so confidential.

Indazita speaks in a caring manner.

Indazita

Line 23) As long as he’s a good guy, that’s all that matters.

Nakari speaks in a curious tone.

Nakari

Line 24) You can’t tell us who he is, but could you at least tell us what he’s like?

Sotsona thinks to herself.

Casimir looks at Sotsona intriguingly, anticipating a good response.

Sotsona speaks in a playful manner.

Sotsona

Line 25) He’s desperate.

The whole table goes silent.

Casimir looks offended, but tries to retain his composure.

Line 26) Yuvin and Celestyn’s inner thoughts: That’s for certain.

Sotsona speaks reassuringly.

Sotsona

Line 27) But in a good way.

Sotsona

Line 28) He’s friendly. A little too friendly.

Sotsona speaks sentimentally.

Sotsona

Line 29) But he’s very attentive. He makes sure that he tends to my needs, no matter what.

Sotsona

Line 30) He really shows that he cares about you.

Sotsona

Line 31) Whether it’s by giving you space, making you feel secure, or simply reminding you that he loves you.

Sotsona

Line 32) He always shows out in flashy ways that you’re important to him.

Sotsona

Line 33) But that’s not the reason I decided to marry him.

Sotsona

Line 34) My decision to marry him came from the desire to repay all the kindness he had shown me.

Sotsona

Line 35) Some may say that’s not a valid reason, but to me it seems authentic enough.

Sotsona speaks in an affectionate tone.

Sotsona

Line 36) He welcomed me in with open arms at a point in my life where I was utterly hopeless.

Sotsona

Line 37) But more importantly, he gave me his company, attention, affection, etc.

Sotsona speaks in a somber manner.

Sotsona

Line 38) Before him, I was incredibly lonely.

Sotsona’s eyes glisten in admiration.

Sotsona

Line 39) But, when he came into my life, he made me feel seen, and wanted to find ways in which I could heal from what hurt me.

Sotsona

Line 40) I didn’t think that finding someone like that would be possible, but it happened.

Sotsona speaks in adoration.

Sotsona

Line 41) And all I want and need to do is give back all the love in my heart to him.

Sotsona

Line 42) Show him that I care for him, the way he cares for me.

Sotsona

Line 43) But I don’t feel that way because I owe it to him, even though I do…

Sotsona

Line 44) I feel that way because I want to show him that I see him too.

Sotsona

Line 45) And that I appreciate what he’s done for me.

Sotsona

Line 46) But through love, because I love him.

Sotsona

Line 47) That kind of doesn’t make sense, but hopefully, you get what I mean.

Everyone at the table looks touched, besides Yuvin and Celestyn.

Yuvin and Celestyn cringe at Sotsona.

Casimir looks at Sotsona with sentimental eyes glimmering in the illuminating restaurant lights.

He touchingly looks at her, his eyebrows melting in devotion.

Indazita speaks in a passionate tone to reassure Sotsona.

Indazita

Line 48) That does make sense! What do you mean?

Indazita

Line 49) I feel the same way with my wife.

Hridyanshu

Line 50) I feel that way with my girlfriend.

Zeren speaks in a hopeless manner.

Zeren

Line 51) I wish I felt that way.

Line 52) Zeren’s inner thoughts: I never had a chance against this big shot love sick monster.

Zeren accepts his defeat.

Nakari speaks in a shy tone.

Nakari

Line 53) I’m jealous, Sotsona. You’re living our dreams.

Celestyn focuses on Nakari’s statement attentively.

Casimir slyly smiles, speaking in a boastful manner.

Casimir

Line 54) He sounds pretty amazing. Don’t let him slip away so easily.

Sotsona smiles at Casimir, squinting her eyes playfully, knowing his charade.

Sotsona

Line 55) Trust me. I think he’s too wrapped around my finger to slip away.

Yuvin and Celestyn cringe at the both of them.

Sotsona

Line 56) So, do you guys still think I’m marrying a ghost?

All of them say no besides Casimir, Celestyn, and Yuvin.

Indazita speaks in a tender manner.

Indazita

Line 57) You’re feelings are genuine. There’s ought to be someone there.

Hridyanshu speaks in a curious tone.

Hridyanshu

Line 58) Will we know who he is soon?

Sotsona speaks in an apologetic tone.

Sotsona

Line 59) Not really. We’re still planning our wedding out.

Nakari

Line 60) You plan on inviting us, right?

Sotsona looks off-guard, not anticipating Nakari and the others to want to attend the wedding.

Sotsona

Line 61) Sure… You guys will find out then. Sorry to keep you all hanging.

They look at Sotsona happily.

The waitress comes by to give them more drinks.

Sotsona passes the drinks to Nakari.

Sostona’s bracelet shines in Nakari’s eye as she passes the drink, making her remember something.

Nakari observes the bracelet* Sotsona is wearing in enchantment.

*Sotsona and Casimir wear a couple of bracelets that Zephryn gifted to them when she met Sotsona for the first time. With both of them wearing each other’s initials (refer back to the beginning of episode 26).

Nakari

Line 62) I’ve been meaning to ask you where you got that bracelet from. You wear it all the time. It’s beautiful.

Sotsona nervously looks at her bracelet, trying to cover up the initial on it.

Sotsona

Line 63) Oh. This thing? I got it as a gift.

Nakari gives Sotsona a smug look.

Nakari

Line 64) From him?

Sotsona hesitantly replies.

Sotsona

Line 65) Yeah… I’ll ask him where he got it from, and I’ll let you know right away.

Nakari notices the initial on it.

She speaks in a curious tone.

Nakari

Line 66) Is that his initial on it?

Sotsona looks at Nakari nervously.

Nakari

Line 67) So, you’re marrying some big shot whose name starts with the letter C. Who could that be?

Hridyanshu jokingly responds.

Hridyanshu

Line 68) Kind of sounds like Casimir. You two don’t so happen to be getting married to each other, right?

Sotsona and Casimir’s faces engulf grim expressions.

Celestyn and Yuvin look on edge.

Sotsona starts laughing nervously, trying to play off the joke.

Sotsona

Line 69) You’re full of jokes today, aren’t you Hridyanshu? What a coincidence that is.

Casimir jumps in the justify himself.

Casimir

Line 70) Definitely a confidence. You all should know that I’m a lone wolf.

They all laugh, besides Yuvin and Celestyn.

Yuvin and Celestyn relievingly sigh from the excuse they gave.

While they’re all preoccupied laughing, Sotsona signals for Casimir to take his bracelet off so that they don’t get caught while no one is looking.

Casimir swiftly takes it off and puts it in his pocket.

He nervously looks at Celestyn and Yuvin as they give him the death stare.

They wrap up dinner and head outside.

Indazita speaks in an appreciative voice.

Indazita

Line 71) Dinner was amazing! Thank you for handling the bill.

Casimir speaks in a cheerful manner.

Casimir

Line 72) It’s no problem. I’m just glad we all got to spend some quality time with each other.

Zeren shakes Casimir’s hand gratefully.

Zeren

Line 73) Thank you for everything. The day off, the raise, paying our bill.

Casimir speaks in a warm tone.

Casimir

Line 74) You are SO welcome. I’ll make sure to send you the deeds of the person I’ll be setting you up with*.

*Refer back to episode 92, line 95.

Hridyanshu puts arm over Zeren’s shoulder.

Hridyanshu

Line 75) I’m sure he’ll be looking forward to that. Thank you for everything.

Nakari

Line 76) Yes, thank you. Everything was amazing.

Casimir

Line 77) It’s my pleasure. I’m glad all of you had a good time.

They all start to leave one by one.

Before Nakari leaves, Celestyn approaches her.

She speaks in a timid tone.

Celestyn

Line 78) H-Hey, you. I had a great time at dinner.

Nakari

Line 79) So did I. Thank you for having it arranged.

Celestyn

Line 80) Of course. I hope you have a good day off.

They bid their goodbyes to each other, and she leaves.

Celestyn waves her off as she blushes.

She walks back to the rest of them (Casimir, Yuvin, Sotsona).

Yuvin speaks in a frustrated tone.

Yuvin

Line 81) What were you thinking with this dinner?

Yuvin

Line 82) You guys almost got caught!

Sotsona speaks in an apologetic tone.

Sotsona

Line 83) Sorry. But at least we were able to smooth things out, luckily. It won’t happen again.

Yuvin

Line 84) Do you really mean what you said with the day off and raise*? Or was that just to butter everyone up?

*Refer back to episode 92, line 37 and 42.

Casimir speaks in a dismissive tone, feeling agitated by Yuvin’s sassy attitude.

Casimir

Line 85) Could you be more uptight? I meant everything I said.

Yuvin

Line 86) Either way, don’t let something like this happen ever again.

Yuvin abruptly leaves.

Casimir sighs immensely.

Casimir speaks in an annoyed voice.

Casimir

Line 87) All he does it nag.

Celestyn speaks in an embarrassed manner.

Celestyn

Line 88) For all the right reasons. You were a mess today. Not only that, cringy too.

Casimir responds aloofly. 

Casimir

Line 89) Whatever. Everyone else seemed to have a good time.

Celestyn

Line 90) I guess you’re right, but you should still be cautious around each other.

Casimir speaks in a stubborn manner.

Casimir

Line 91) We wouldn’t have to be so cautious around them if you hadn’t told them that Sotsona is getting married*.

*Refer back to episode 30, line 43.

Casimir

Line 92) I literally found out about that before dinner*.

*Refer back to episode 91, line 104.

Celestyn

Line 93) I’ll admit it was a mistake, but at least people will leave her alone now.

Celestyn speaks in a sassy tone.

Celestyn

Line 94) That not something you have to worry about because nobody’s chasing after you.

Casimir rolls his eyes in annoyance.

Sotsona breaks up the tensions between them.

Sotsona

Line 95) She doesn’t mean that. It’s time we get going.

Casimir

Line 96) Definitely. I don’t want to be around this negative Nancy any longer.

They start to walk away, but Celestyn calls out to Casimir.

Casimir stops in his tracks, looking back at Celestyn.

Celestyn speaks in a genuine manner.

Celestyn

Line 97) You were a mess, but you still did good.

Celestyn walks away, feeling embarrassed.

Casimir at Sotsona in confusion.

Casimir

Line 98) I don’t get her. Sometimes, she's rude to me, but on the other hand, she says things like that.

A hopeful expression etches onto Sotsona’s face.

Line 99) Sotsona’s inner thoughts: Could this is be the start of them restoring their relationship?

Sotsona

Line 100) She probably realized that what she said was too harsh.
