After receiving a text from his mom that his sister and her would like to visit, does Sotsona agree on throwing a last-minute gathering for all of them the next day

Episode 77: 

The day is June 7th 2024. It’s a Friday nighttime.

Casimir and Sotsona read the message that Zephryn sent to them.

Casimir laughs.

Casimir

Line 1) My mom is always so nosey. I’ll tell her that we can’t make it.

Sotsona speaks in a reassuring voice.

Sotsona

Line 2) That would upset her. I don’t mind throwing a last-minute gathering, especially since Celestyn will be tagging along this time around.

Casimir speaks in a curious tone.

Casimir

Line 3) I wonder why mom’s stringing her along.

Casimir

Line 4) It seems out of character for her to agree on coming.

Sotsona speaks in a hopeful manner.

Sotsona

Line 5) Maybe she wants to get closer to you. You guys are brother and sister, after all.

Casimir

Line 6) I highly doubt that. Why now, after all these years?

Sotsona speaks in a confused voice.

Sotsona

Line 7) I don’t know, but either way, it’ll be nice to have the both of them over.

Sotsona

Line 8) If I recall correctly, this will be the first time all of us gather together like this.

Casimir

Line 9) Yeah. You’re right. I wonder why haven’t we gotten together earlier?

Sotsona

Line 10) There’s no point in questioning it now. I’m just glad it’s something we’re finally doing it.

Sotsona and Casimir go to sleep together.

They wake up the next morning and get ready for the gathering.

The day is June 8th 2024. It’s a Saturday.

Casimir

Line 11) What do you say? Do we grab takeout and prep in nicely on the table for the gathering?

Casimir

Line 12) Or should we try to stir something up ourselves, even if it falls through in the end?

Sotsona thinks to herself.

Sotsona

Line 13) If we order take out like we did last time when your mother visited, the food will taste good*…

Sotsona speaks in a smug tone.

Sotsona

Line 14) But, if we try to make food for all of us, risking the taste and way it looks, it’ll be more fun.

Sotsona

Line 15) So, what do you think we should do?

Casimir and Sotsona smirk at each other mischievously.

The both of them speaks in playful manners.

Casimir

Line 16) I’d risk anything for some fun.

Sotsona

Line 17) So would I.

Casimir

Line 18) Then, let’s do it. It’s a perfect way for us to practice our cooking skills together.

Sotsona

Line 19) That’s true. We could really use the practice.

Casimir speaks in a reassuring tone.

Casimir

Line 20) And if it all goes wrong, we can just order takeout and call it a day.

Sotsona speaks in a cheerful manner.

Sotsona

Line 21) Exactly! That’s the spirit.

Casimir

Line 22) Then, we need to start now, in case it takes us a while to prepare everything.

Casimir opens his fridge, taking a look at what he has inside.

Casimir

Line 23) Do you think we have all the ingredients required for whatever we decide to cook?

Sotsona squints as she takes a look inside the fridge.

Sotsona speaks in an encouraging manner.

Sotsona

Line 24) We’ll make it work. There’s no need to make any pit stops somewhere.

Casimir smiles wholesomely.

Line 25) Casimir’s inner thoughts: These special moments where I’m reminded of how much she’s changed in a couple of months still leave me speechless.

Line 26) Casimir’s inner thoughts: I love who she was before her change, and I love her now. That’s never going to change.

Line 27) Casimir’s inner thoughts: I’m just glad that my influence rubbed off on her and she’s become more spontaneous.

Line 28) Casimir’s inner thoughts: There’s so much thrill in her eyes. Seeking adventure and new experiences.

Line 29) Casimir’s inner thoughts: I’d die for her. I’d do anything for her.

Casimir moves closer to Sotsona.

A playful expression comes along her face.

Casimir caresses Sotsona’s cheek.

She rolls her eyes playfully.

Sotsona

Line 30) What’s this about?

Casimir speaks in a flirtatious manner.

Casimir

Line 31) Continue being so fiery.

Sotsona blushes.

She speaks in a flustered manner.

Sotsona

Line 32) I-I’m fiery?

Casimir speaks in an assuring tone.

Casimir

Line 33) Yes. Very fiery.

Casimir

Line 34) I love that about you~

Casimir

Line 35) You’re not as shy as you used to be. You’re willing to take more risks.

Casimir

Line 36) You used to be really indecisive and uncertain.

Casimir passionately justifies himself.

Casimir

Line 37) And I’m not saying that I didn’t love those qualities about you before…

Casimir speaks in an affectionate manner.

Casimir

Line 38) I’m just glad to see how much you’ve blossomed.

Casimir

Line 39) You’re a blooming flower.

Casimir

Line 40) A really pretty blooming flower~

Sotsona folds her arms, giving Casimir a playful look.

Sotsona

Line 41) Let me quiz you. What kind of flower? 

Casimir answers without any hesitations.

Casimir

Line 42) Bougainvillea.

Sotsona blushes.

Sotsona caresses Casimir’s face back.

She speaks in a flirtatious manner.

Sotsona

Line 43) And you say that you think you don’t know me well enough.

Casimir speak in a curious tone.

Casimir

Line 44) Am I right?

Sotsona gently kisses Casimir’s lips.

They blush at each other immensely.

She speaks in a reassuring manner.

Sotsona

Line 45) Of course. you’re right.

Sotsona

Line 46) You know me better than you think you do.

Sotsona

Line 47) Could you be more perfect?

Casimir gets bashful.

Casimir

Line 48) Aw~ You give me too much credit.

Sotsona hugs Casimir tightly.

She speaks in a genuine manner.

Sotsona

Line 49) You really are the best partner I could ever ask for.

Sotsona

Line 50) I simply love everything about you.

Sotsona

Line 51) You’re the one for me.

Sotsona

Line 52) I’m obsessed with you.

Line 53) There’s never a dull moment with you.

Line 56) Your so effortlessly perfect.

Casimir pulls back and looks at Sotsona sentimentally.

Casimir

Line 57) I feel like you’re putting me on quite the high pedestal.

Casimir speaks in a desperate tone, shamefully looking down.

Casimir

Line 58) Please stop. I don’t want to disappoint you.

Sotsona strokes Casimir’s face gently and looks at him bittersweetly.

Sotsona

Line 59) Don’t feel pressured by me saying this, but you could never disappoint me.

Sotsona looks at Casimir desperately, wanting him to believe her.

Sotsona

Line 60) I mean that. Please don’t worry.

Casimir shrugs.

Casimir

Line 61) I’ll try my hardest not to.

Casimir

Line 62) Just don’t leave me if I do.

Sotsona looks at Casimir offendedly, but speaks in a reassuring manner.

Sotsona

Line 63) I would never ever think about doing that to you.

Sotsona

Line 64) I’m here to stay.

Sotsona tightly hugs Casimir.

Line 65) Casimir’s inner thoughts: I really hope so because I’m here to stay with you too.

Line 66) Casimir’s inner thoughts: I’ll believe you for now, but only time will tell.

Casimir changes the topic.

Casimir

Line 67) We got so sidetracked. What do you think we should make for the gathering?

Sotsona laughs.

Sotsona

Line 68) Ah. We really did get swept away in our own conversation.

Casimir smiles.

Sotsona opens the fridge, taking a look at it again.

She thinks of the things they could make.

Sotsona

Line 69) Any allergies your family has? Food preferences?

Casimir speaks in a reassuring tone.

Casimir

Line 70) They’re foodies. They’ll eat anything.

Sotsona

Line 71) Then, what do you think about good old pasta?

Sotsona

Line 72) We can make a bit of a fusion dish.

Casimir speaks intriguingly.

Casimir

Line 73) What do you mean?

Sotsona

Line 74) I was scrolling on my phone a couple of days ago and saw someone made a masala pasta.

Sotsona

Line 75) And, it looked really good. Plus, the recipe didn’t seem that complex.

Casimir’s eyes beam in pleasant surprise.

Casimir

Line 76) You smartie! That’s a wonderful idea!

Casimir

Line 77) I’m sure it’ll be enough to feed all of us.

Casimir

Line 78) Did you save the recipe?

Sotsona smirks at Casimir.

Sotsona

Line 79) I did, for some reason. I though it would be useful for the future.

Casimir speaks in an impressed manner.

Casimir

Line 80) Look at you! You’re thinking ahead.

Sotsona

Line 81) What about some cookies for dessert?

Sotsona

Line 82) You handle the dessert and I handle the main course?

Casimir speaks in a reassuring tone.

Casimir

Line 83) If you want to tackle the main course, then go right ahead.

Casimir

Line 84) I’ll watch over you, just in case.

They smile at each other.

Sotsona

Line 85) Sounds like a plan. Let’s get started then.

They prep the ingredients necessary and get suited in their aprons to start cooking.

Sotsona starts marinating the chicken and boiling the pasta.

Casimir looms over her cooking, while he gets some cookie batter ready.

Casimir

Line 86) See? It’s working so far.

Sotsona

Line 87) This is just the easy part. Anyone could boil pasta and marinate chicken.

Sotsona

Line 88) The cooking part is where I fall short.

Sotsona

Line 89) But that kind of stuff is trial and error.

Sotsona

Line 90) So, it’s time to try and see where that leads me.

Sotsona

Line 91) Then again, if things don’t work out, we have a plan B.

Casimir gives Sotsona an assuring smile.

Casimir

Line 92) Excellent attitude.

Sotsona starts to cook the chicken on a hot pan.

She attentively looms over it, making sure it doesn’t burn.

Casimir watches beside her as the cookies bake in the oven.

Casimir

Line 93) Do you think this “masala fusion pasta” is an insult to Italians and South Asians?

Sotsona laughs at Casimir.

Sotsona

Line 94) Hopefully they cut us some slack. I’m a sucker for savory dishes.

Casimir smiles while attentively taking in the smell of Sotsona’s cooking.

Casimir happily speaks.

Casimir

Line 95) You’re doing such a good job already. Everything smells amazing.

Casimir sniffs the air intently once more.

He speaks in a concerned tone.

Casimir

Line 96) Wait. I think it’s burning.

Sotsona frantically flips over the chicken in the pan, noticing that it is cooked perfectly.

She sighs in relief and elbows Casimir playfully.

Sotsona

Line 97) You prankster! I felt so much anxiety just now!

Casimir babies Sotsona and hugs her.

Casimir

Line 98) It was just impulse. I’m sorry. I had too.

Sotsona playfully rolls her eyes.

Sotsona

Line 99) You and your impulses. When I get my urges, I won’t be holding back on you.

Casimir

Line 100) But look, everything is cooked perfectly.

They laugh with each other.

Casimir’s narration:

Line 102) Makes me thoroughly look forward to our lives as a married couple.

Line 103) I want to spend all the rest of my days with her.

Line 104) Us cooking in the kitchen like this and bonding.
