Hopelessly Yours by Yosh Episode 73A Chapter by Yosh After opening all her presents, Casimir and Sotsona get ready to attend the symphonic concert later in the day when Sotsona opens one last present from Casimir that he requested she open in private.

Sotsona opens all the presents Casimir got for her birthday. She looks thrilled. Sotsona’s narration: Line 1) I’ve never received so many presents in my life! Line 2) I feel so special getting this kind of treatment. Line 3) These presents symbolize so much care. Line 4) Casimir got me books, after I expressed my interest in poetry… Line 5) Some jewelry, clothes, purses, and shoes, as well. Line 6) As much as I appreciate everything he’s gotten for me, I just feel so darn spoiled. Line 7) Who am I to be showered in all these lavish things? Line 8) But it would be rude not to accept. After all, he put so much thought into everything. Casimir smiles giddily at Sotsona. He speaks in a smug manner, wanting to get her input and praise. Casimir Line 9) So, what do you think? Sotsona speaks in an appreciative manner. Sotsona Line 10) You’ve reached the maximum capacity of things you can gift me. Sotsona speaks in a desperate voice. Sotsona Line 11) No more, please. This is more than enough. Sotsona droops her head down in shame. Sotsona Line 12) I feel like a b*****d accepting all of this. Sotsona Line 13) Not because you gave them to me… Sotsona Line 14) But because I’m someone not worth splurging on. Casimir sneaks behind Sotsona, hugs her back, and rests his head on her shoulder. He speaks in a passionately defensive manner. Casimir Line 15) Hey! Don’t talk badly about my fiance! Casimir speaks in a genuine voice. Casimir Line 16) She is someone worth splurging on, okay? Casimir Line 17) And, if you’re not convinced, I’ll just have to convince you. Casimir speaks in a optimistic manner. Casimir Line 18) It’s been a while since I’ve set myself a goal, I think it’s time I get back on my grind. Sotsona smiles at Casimir appreciatively, and he kisses her cheek. Sotsona hugs him as he rests his head on her shoulder. Sotsona speaks in an authentic tone. She looks at him touchingly. Sotsona Line 19) Thank you, Casimir. I mean it. Sotsona Line 20) I’ll treasure all of this forever. Casimir smiles in satisfaction. Sotsona Line 21) But, prepare to be disappointed when your birthday comes around. Casimir speaks in a reassuring voice. Casimir Line 22) There’s nothing you can gift me that I don’t already have. Sotsona Line 23) But isn’t it different if I gift you something because it’s from me? Casimir blushes from Sotsona’s remark. Casimir Line 24) T-That’s a good point, but I’d prefer you to make yourself my present. Sotsona blushes. She speaks in a shy voice. Sotsona Line 25) I might as well since I’m not sure if I have anything else to offer. Casimir Line 26) Trust me that you’re enough. Casimir playfully boops Sotsona’s nose. She gives him a sentimental smile. Casimir speaks in a cocky tone. Casimir Line 27) I have one more present. Sotsona sighs shamefully. Sotsona Line 28) Oh, brother. Casimir walks away to fetch the present. He brings back a box, tightly wrapped shut. Sotsona examines the box skeptically. Sotsona Line 29) This looks so ominous. Casimir speaks in a desperate tone. Casimir Line 30) I want you to open this sometime on your own. Sotsona speaks in a confused tone. Sotsona Line 31) But, why? Casimir speaks in a flustered way. Casimir Line 32) Because I’ll die from embarrassment if you open this in front of me. Casimir justifies himself some more. Casimir Line 33) You have to explore it on your own, and then come to me about it. Sotsona speaks in an agreeable tone. Sotsona Line 34) I see. Well, if that’s what you want, then no problem. Casimir and Sotsona chill throughout the day until they have to start getting ready for the concert. Sotsona gets dressed in one of the new dresses Casimir bought, along with new jewelry and shoes. The dress is a flowy creamy pink one with sparkles, gold shoes, and jewelry. Sotsona happily looks at herself in the mirror, feeling satisfied by her appearance. She thinks sentimentally. Sotsona’s narration: Line 35) There was a point in my life where I thought dressing up like this was utterly impossible. Line 36) It’s something I wanted so badly, but it was way out of reach. Line 37) And now, it just feels surreal to be staring at myself in the mirror like this. Line 38) This is all I’ve ever wanted. Line 39) My biggest fear is that this happiness is temporary. Sotsona glances at the room’s ceiling in desperation. Line 40) To whoever’s up there, I beg you, please continue this. Line 41) I don’t want this to be momentary. Line 42) I’m so happy, and I want to feel like this forever. Line 43) Please let me stay with Casimir forever. Sotsona’s interest piques when she remembers to open the box Casimir gifted to her earlier. She walks over to where she placed it, opening it in curiosity. She opens the box, observing a DIY papery film with a bunch of photos glued on inside. She looks at the pictures, observing that all of the photos are of them together. She smiles touchingly. Line 44) Sotsona’s inner thoughts: Wow! He made this look like a film from a camera, even though it’s just paper with our photos printed glued on. Sotsona spots the tiny folded papers scattered around in the box. She grabs the envelope inside the box to open it. The envelope reads: To: Ona, Love: Casimir ❤ Sotsona smiles sentimentally. She opens the envelope, ready to read the letter. Casimir’s letter: Line 45) Dear, Miss Sotsona, Begay (future Sotsona, Adair). Line 46) Welcome to this new chapter in your life, known as level 24. Line 47) Unlike your other years where we didn’t have each other… Line 48) This time around, I’ll be with you. Line 49) And, hopefully for a while. Line 50) I would like to deeply apologize for how I’ve been regarding our relationship lately. Line 51) I was desperate for us to be a couple, and now I'm glossing over things between us too casually. Line 52) From this point on, I’ll promise to try harder. Line 53) If ever you doubted my dedication to you, please know that I am always devoted. Line 54) You’re my number one priority all the time. Line 55) I think about you every second of the day. Line 56) But, if you need some more proof, I’ve written a poem for you. Casimir’s poem: Line 57) There once was a boy who lived inside books. Line 58) It was a way for him to live other lives and other looks. Line 59) It kept him on his toes and away from foes. Line 60) But, as he was deeply immersed… Line 61) The world around him became cursed. Line 62) Leaving the boy extremely lonely. Line 63) Making him assume that he was lowly. Line 64) He would go through life, putting on a fake smile. Line 65) One day, someone came into it, after a while. Line 66) The girl of his dreams, catching his eyes in surprise. Line 67) Seizing the opportunity to get familiarized. Line 68) During this time, the boy fell head over heels. Line 69) Knowing that this time around, he would make sure to seal… Line 70) The deal between them to be each other’s lovers. Line 71) Since she is like no other. Line 72) Because he cherishes her deeply. Line 73) The same way she does sweetly. End of poem. Extra note from Casimir: Line 74) Sorry if that was difficult to understand, I wanted everything to rhyme. Line 75) Hopefully, I got my point across. Line 76) Happy Birthday, darling! Line 77) P.S: The little scraps of papers are all the memories we’ve made together thus far. Line 78) Let’s make this box our little time capsule. Sotsona looks at the poem touchingly. Line 79) Sotsona’s inner thoughts: Every word is straight from the heart. Line 80) Sotsona’s inner thoughts: It’s so thoughtful of him to do this. Sotsona picks up some of the scraps, reading the memories. Line 81) Memory 1: The time you spit your water on my floor because you had spicy pad thai*. *Refer back to episode 15, details in between lines 13 and 14, etc. Sotsona laughs reminiscing on the memory. Line 82) Memory 2: The time you went flying when we went surfboarding for the first time*. *Refer back to episode 54, details in between lines 69 and 70, etc. Line 83) Memory 3: When we had our first kiss*. *Refer back to episode 39, details in between lines 93 and 94, (if you consider their recent confession kiss their first, refer back to episode 67, details after line 107). Sotsona swiftly makes her way to the living room to see Casimir. She spots him and approaches him quickly. Casimir responds in pleasant surprise from the way Sotsona looks. Casimir Line 84) Wow! Sotsona! You look grea- Sotsona cuts Casimir off, leaning into him, offering a kiss. The both of them close their eyes, wrapping their arms around each other’s bodies intimately. They overlap their lips on each other’s, wanting to fully immerse themselves into their kiss. They both of them pull back, blushing immensely. They catch their breaths. Casimir speaks in a flustered manner. Casimir Line 85) U-Um. Don’t get me wrong, I love it when you kiss me, but why did you do it so out of the blue just now? Sotsona happily smiles at Casimir, leaning into to nudge her nose with his. Sotsona Line 86) I opened the box. Casimir’s face flushes red. He looks away from Sotsona, feeling embarrassed. He speaks in a flustered tone. Casimir Line 87) O-Oh. I see. Sotsona speaks in a reassuring manner. Sotsona Line 88) No need to get bashful. I love it. Sotsona speaks in a genuine tone. Sotsona Line 89) Thank you for that. Sotsona Line 90) It’s the most considerate thing anyone has ever gifted me. Sotsona caresses Casimir’s face affectionately. Sotsona Line 91) But, just so you know, I didn’t feel for a moment that you weren’t dedicated in our relationship*. *Refer back to line 53 of this episode. Sotsona Line 92) Sure, it’s been a while since we’ve seen each other… Sotsona Line 93) After all you’ve done for me, I don’t need more proof that you do things from the heart. Sotsona Line 94) You thinking that way and going out of your way to write me a poem… Sotsona’s eyebrows soften in adoration. Sotsona Line 95) How much sweeter can you be? Sotsona pecks Casimir’s lips, smothering his face in kisses. Casimir gets all flustered, responding awkwardly. Casimir Line 96) Y-You give me too much credit. Sotsona happily hugs Casimir. Sotsona Line 97) Because you deserve the credit. She playfully pinches Casimir’s facial cheek. Casimir tries to change the subject to divert the flustered tension accumulating. Casimir Line 98) Is my face covered with your lipstick? Sotsona Line 99) Nope. This is the long lasting kind. Casimir speaks in pleasant surprise. Casimir Line 100) Oh, really? Casimir checks his phone camera, noticing that his face doesn’t have any imprints. He looks at himself in shock. Casimir Line 101) Wow! That stuff really works! Sotsona beams along with him.
