After finishing their baking competition, Casimir takes Sotsona to a secret spot for them to chat with each other.

Episode 65: 

April 6th, 2024. The day is a Saturday. It’s nighttime.

Casimir is driving Sotsona back to their place after they finish their cooking class (they took to-go boxes of the desserts they made).

Sotsona stays quiet during the ride from the awkwardness of having to confess her feelings to him because of the bet they made.

Casimir is bothered by the tension between them.

He speaks in a reassuring voice to clear the air.

Casimir

Line 1) It was just a silly bet. No need to take it too seriously.

Sotsona is caught off-guard from Casimir’s sudden remark.

Sotsona

Line 2) A deal is a deal. I won’t back out of this.

Casimir brings up a suggestion.

Casimir

Line 3) What if we ease into it and then ask each other to confess to something?

Sotsona speaks in a confused tone.

Sotsona

Line 4) What do you mean by “ease into it”?

Casimir

Line 5) Well, we haven’t seen each other in a while, and asking for something like this just seems so abrupt and forceful.

Casimir

Line 6) The progression between us seems to have accelerated all of a sudden.

Casimir

Line 7) I wouldn’t want things to feel so rushed between us.

Casimir

Line 8) It would be good to start off with something steady before we go on to discuss other things.

Casimir

Line 9) After all, there are still so many things I don’t know about you.

Casimir looks at Sotsona in curiosity.

He smirks at her in interest.

Casimir

Line 10) I have a lot I want to learn.

Sotsona blushes.

She speaks in a playfully skeptical tone.

Sotsona

Line 11) Why are you holding it off though?

Sotsona

Line 12) Does that mean you know what we'll say when we ask each other to confess to something?

Casimir mischievously smiles, feeling impressed by Sotsona’s assumption being correct.

Casimir

Line 13) Just a hunch. I won’t spoil any more info.

Sotsona smiles.

Line 14) Sotsona’s inner thoughts: He’s quite a smart guy.

Line 15) Sotsona’s inner thoughts: Or maybe it’s just obvious and I’m oblivious to it.

Casimir

Line 16) Do you mind if we make a stop somewhere before we head home?

Sotsona replies in excitement.

Sotsona

Line 17) Sure. Where are we heading?

Casimir replies in a smug manner.

Casimir

Line 18) I can’t say. I want it to be a surprise.

Sotsona playfully rolls her eyes.

They arrive at Casimir’s secret spot.

Sotsona speaks in curiosity.

Sotsona

Line 19) Just where the heck did you bring me?

Casimir gets out of the car, quickly walking over to Sotsona’s side.

He opens her door, extending his hand to help her out.

He politely smiles at her.

Casimir

Line 20) After you, madam.

Sotsona blushes from the formal gesture.

She smiles, gently placing her hand on Casimir’s.

He helps her out of the car.

Sotsona looks around the area in oblivion.

Sotsona

Line 21) It just seems like you parked in the middle of nowhere..

Casimir

Line 22) The tree branches are blocking the view.

Sotsona looks at Casimir in surprise, not anticipating a view to be in the area.

Sotsona

Line 23) There’s a view?

Casimir happily nods his head and smiles.

He leads Sotsona through the branches, holding onto her hand.

Casimir glances at Sotsona.

She looks at him in confusion.

Casimir speaks in an encouraging manner.

Casimir

Line 24) Can you close your eyes?

Sotsona

Line 25) Can I ask what for?

Casimir speaks in a hopeful manner.

Casimir

Line 26) I’ve always wanted to surprise someone that way.

Casimir

Line 27) Can I do that with you?

Casimir speaks in a assuring tone.

Casimir

Line 28) You can trust me. I won’t let any branches poke you.

Sotsona closes her eyes as Casimir leads her to the way of the view.

He cautiously blocks all the branches and makes it to the view.

He speaks in a happy tone.

Casimir

Line 29) Okay. We’re finally here. Open your eyes.

Sotsona opens her eyes excitingly and takes in the view of the scenery.

She absorbs her surroundings feeling pleasantly surprised.

It’s a view from a hill of the town with all the lights illuminating in the night sky.

Sotsona

Line 30) Wow! It’s amazing up here!

Sotsona happily smiles at Casimir.

Sotsona

Line 31) I always forget how beautiful Chicago is.

Sotsona

Line 32) I guess I didn’t take time to enjoy what was right in front of me all this time.

Casimir sits down on the grass of the hill.

Casimir pats a spot for Sotsona to sit beside him.

She sits next to him and leans in closer.

Casimir puts his arm over Sotsona’s shoulder affectionately.

The both of them blush at each other.

Sotsona leans her head on Casimir’s.

Casimir

Line 33) It’s not your fault you didn’t enjoy what was right in front of you.

Casimir

Line 34) You were confined to not knowing that a place like this existed.

Casimir

Line 35) And even if you DID know a place like this existed, you probably didn’t even think about it because you were in a completely different headspace.

Casimir happily glances at Sotsona.

Casimir

Line 36) At least you now know about some of the wonders in the world.

Sotsona

Line 37) You’re like my Al@dd!n.

Sotsona

Line 38) You took me on a magic carpet ride and showed me a whole new world.

Casimir laughs from Sotsona’s analogy.

Casimir

Line 39) Heck yeah! I knew I had those charms in me.

Sotsona

Line 40) You’re even short like him too.

Casimir playfully looks offended at Sotsona.

He speaks in a defeated tone.

Casimir

Line 41) Does it irk you that I’m shorter than you? I’ve always been insecure about my height.

Casimir

Line 42) You’d probably prefer someone taller, right?

Sotsona speaks in a reassuring tone.

Sotsona

Line 43) Don’t worry, it doesn’t irk me. I honestly don’t have those kinds of preferences.

Sotsona

Line 44) Before you, I don’t think I even had a type..

Sotsona

Line 45) My mind just didn’t think of those things. Must have something to do with that headspace thingy you mentioned.

Casimir boastfully responds.

Casimir

Line 46) Are you saying that I’m your type?

Sotsona stares at Casimir intently, getting a good look of his face.

Casimir blushes as she analyzes him.

Sotsona

Line 47) Let’s just say that you’re the standard.

Casimir’s face flushes red.

Casimir

Line 48) But not your type?

Sotsona

Line 49) I just told you that I don’t have a type.

Casimir speaks in a curious tone.

Casimir

Line 50) Do you at least find me handsome? Good-looking?

Casimir speaks in desperation, wanting to hear Sotsona’s validation.

Casimir

Line 51) Attractive? Heck, I’ll even take beautiful.

Sotsona laughs from Casimir’s demeanor.

Sotsona

Line 52) Do you really need me to say it outloud?

Casimir sassily responds.

Casimir

Line 53) Do you even need to ask?

Sotsona smiles.

Sotsona

Line 54) How about all of the above?

Casimir blushes, feeling flustered.

Sotsona fiddles with one of Casimir’s hair strands.

She speaks in a interested tone.

Sotsona

Line 55) Are your locs real?

Casimir speaks offendedly.

Casimir

Line 56) Of course, they’re real! Can’t you tell from just touching them? I’ve had them ever since I was 5.

Sotsona speaks in an affectionate tone.

Sotsona

Line 57) Aw~ I’d like to see you as a baby.

Casimir tries not to smile, keeping up with the act of staying offended.

He speaks in a snappy tone.

Casimir

Line 58) Stop touching my hair.

Sotsona

Line 59) Why? I’m your fiance.

Casimir’s face flushes red from the way Sotsona addressed him.

She gives him puppy dog eyes, speaking shyly.

Sotsona

Line 60) Can’t it be okay for me to do it just because of who I am to you?

Casimir looks flustered, but tries to contain his composure.

He speak nonchalantly.

Casimir

Line 61) Do what you want then.

Sotsona smiles.

Sotsona

Line 62) So, how exactly are we going to ease into our confessions?

Casimir

Line 63) Well, just tell me more about yourself. Like more on what happened when I was away.

Casimir

Line 64) Have your parents tried contacting you?

Sotsona demeanor become serious.

Sotsona

Line 65) I wouldn’t know. I blocked them.

Casimir speaks in a hesitant manner.

Casimir

Line 66) Do you want to contact them?

Sotsona thinks to herself.

Sotsona

Line 67) I’m okay without doing that.

Casimir speaks in a concerned tone.

Casimir

Line 68) I just don’t want you to feel like you’re alone.

Sotsona offers Casimir an appreciative smile.

She speaks affectionately. 

Sotsona

Line 69) Don’t worry. You compensate any loneliness I could feel from their absence.

Sotsona

Line 70) If anything, I felt lonelier when they were around.

Casimir gives Sotsona a sympathetic expression.

Casimir

Line 71) Do you think you guys will ever be on the same page?

Sotsona sighs before delving into the conversation, relaxing her shoulders, and looking up at the sky.

Sotsona

Line 72) It seems impossible. But, if it can happen, that would be a nice, I suppose.

Sotsona

Line 73) But… I don’t know if I can forgive them.

Sotsona

Line 74) Not until they apologize to me and sincerely promise to do better.

Sotsona speaks in a bitter manner.

Sotsona

Line 75) Which like I said, sounds impossible.

Sotsona

Line 76) But if that’s the way things are supposed to be, then so be it.

Sotsona

Line 77) I don’t need them. I have you. You’re more than enough for me.

Casimir gives Sotsona a bittersweet smile.

Sotsona looks at Casimir shyly.

Sotsona

Line 78) Since you want us to ease into things, I have something I need to tell you.

Casimir’s eyes widen in curiosity.

Casimir

Line 80) What is it?

Sotsona

Line 79) I said I only have you now, so I want you to promise me something…

An upsetting expression comes across Sotsona’s face.

Sotsona

Line 80) I still have my doubts about the authenticity of your commitment to me*.

*Refer back to episode 42, line 85, and episode 58, line 8 and 9.

Sotsona

Line 81) I just feel like one day you’ll get sick of me and throw me away.

Sotsona

Line 82) Because so far, you’re seem too good to be true*.

*Refer back to episode 60, line 67-74.

Sotsona speaks in a shameful manner, feeling guilty.

Sotsona

Line 83) And, I guess that’s why I haven’t let myself savor what we’ve had so far because I feel like if I do, I’ll be disappointed further down the line.

Sotsona

Line 84) Nothing has ever gone to the way I want it to. I get too excited over nothing.

Sotsona

Line 85) However, since it seems like things ARE going my way for the first time ever…

Sotsona

Line 86) It just seems like a bit of a trap, like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel.

Sotsona

Line 87) You don’t need to promise me forever, but can you just promise me that this is real?

Sotsona

Line 88) And, that you’re going to give it your all?

Casimir softly smiles at Sotsona.

He extends his hand out with all fingers tucked except his pinky.

He speaks in a genuine manner.

Casimir

Line 89) I promise you that I’ll melt away all of your worries.

Sotsona’s eyebrows let loose, feeling touched by Casimir’s promise.

Sotsona speaks in a hopeful manner.

Sotsona

Line 90) I’m counting on you. Don’t let me down.

Sotsona interlocks her pinky with Casimir’s and they seal their promise with each other.

They shyly blush and smile at each other.

Casimir snuggles into Sotsona’s side.

Casimir

Line 91) Tell me something I don’t know about you.

Sotsona

Line 92) I can’t think of anything off the top of my head, so stimulate some ideas within me.

Casimir thinks to himself.

Casimir

Line 93) Let me think. It’s spring, so…

Casimir

Line 94) All the youngins are getting ready to wrap school up and head into the season of summer.

Casimir

Line 95) Which means people are graduating, making big decisions on their next steps in life…

An thought comes across Casimir’s mind.

Casimir

Line 96) Oh! Big dances like prom are right around the corner for some people.

Casimir speaks in an interested manner.

Casimir

Line 97) How was prom like for you when you were in school?

Sotsona

Line 98) I wouldn’t know, because I never went.

Casimir looks at Sotsona in shock.

Sotsona reassures Casimir.

Sotsona

Line 99) Oh, come on. It’s not a big deal. Many people tend not to go.

Casimir gives Sotsona a sad look, responding in a somber tone.

Casimir

Line 100) That’s so sad. Why didn’t you go?

Sotsona releases an exhausting sigh, reminiscing about the disappointing memory.

Sotsona

Line 101) My parents broke the news to me that they couldn’t send me to my dream school, so I was having a moment*.

*Refer back to episode 1, line 19, etc.

Sotsona

Line 102) But, could you blame me? I wasn’t satisfied with my other options, so had to head into the work force.

Sotsona

Line 103) So, obviously I was upset things didn’t go my way.

Sotsona

Line 104) My friends at the time invited me to go, even though I could tell we were drifting.

Sotsona

Line 105) But I didn’t feel like going because they were all going to my dream school and rooming with each other.

A wistful expression comes along Sotsona’s face.

Sotsona

Line 106) I knew that if I went I’d feel heavily excluded. So, I just opted out.

Sotsona

Line 107) Either way, it’s not like my parents had spare money lying around to pay for the hefty prom tickets on top of all of that.

Sotsona

Line 108) Before, I really wanted to go just for the experience, but my dreams were just dreams.

Sotsona speaks in a dismissive tone.

Sotsona

Line 109) It doesn’t matter any more, so I guess it’s fine I didn’t go.

Casimir

Line 110) Did you at least get any promposals?

Sotsona laughs.

Sotsona

Line 111) Believe it or not, you’re the only person that’s ever had their eyes set on me.

Casimir sadly leans on Sotsona’s shoulder, pouting his lips.

Sotsona reassures Casimir.

Sotsona

Line 112) No need to be sad. I ended up okay.

Casimir gets hit with a wave of realization.

He looks at Sotsona excitingly, speaking in a hopeful manner

Casimir

Line 113) I have a great idea for what we should do tomorrow.

Sotsona

Line 114) What is it?

Casimir beams.

Casimir

Line 115) I am going to give you the prom experience you never had.
