Episode 94:

The day is Saturday. May 6 1967.

Marvin finishes the pictures and hands them to Calista to look through.

She looks through all of them and smiles.

Calista

Line 1) These are the best photos that have ever been taken!

Calista

Line 2) I just love all of them so much.

Calista

Line 3) I’d love to hang them up.

Calista

Line 4) They came out wonderfully.

Calista

Line 5) You’re quite a good photographer.

Marvin smiles.

Calista

Line 6) Say, will you continue working at your job?

Marvin sighs.

Marvin

Line 7) I think that now since my dad and I are on the same page.

Marvin

Line 8) I’ll no longer have to work for his company.

Marvin

Line 9) I’ll finally be able to do something I want to do.

 Marvin

Line 10) It’s exciting but honestly a bit terrifying.

Marvin

Line 11) I’m finally free, but now I don’t know what to do.

Marvin

Line 12) I’m sure I’ll figure it out and have the endless support I need.

Marvin

Line 13) But, how long will it take for me to finally get there?

Marvin

Line 14) At my age, the average person has already found a job they’re willing to do for the rest of their life.

Marvin

Line 15) Settled down with the family they’re willing to take care of for the rest of their lives.

Marvin

Line 16) But, I don’t have any of that.

Marvin

Line 17) I just feel so out of place.

Calista scoots herself in front of Marvin.

She takes his hands and interlocks them with hers.

Marvin looks at her and smiles.

Calista

Line 18) Somebody that talks like this, knows exactly what they’re doing.

Calista

Line 19) You may not realize that now.

Calista

Line 20) It just has to come out on its own.

Calista

Line 21) It’ll be a difficult road. But, nothing comes easy in this life.

Calista

Line 22) You know what they say. Misery loves company.

Calista

Line 23) Let's be real. You have a knack for many things, though.

Marvin

Line 24) Like what?

Calista

Line 25) Are you seriously asking that?

Calista shows Marvin his photos again.

Calista

Line 26) Maybe you need to take a look at these photos again.

Marvin looks at them.

Marvin

Line 27) Alright? What’s so special about them?

Calista

Line 28) Can’t you see that someone without the talent wouldn’t be able to take these kinds of photos?

Marvin

Line 29) Thanks for the pep talk, but there's no need to lie to me.

Calista is actually shocked.

Calista

Line 30) You think that I’d lie to you?

Marvin tilts his head knowing good and well that Calista has lied to him before.

Calista

Line 31) Okay, so I’ve lied to you before. And you have to me too, so quit that expression.

Calista

Line 32) All I’m saying is that I wouldn’t lie to you about this.

Calista

Line 33) Trust me. Show this to a professional photographer and they’ll tell you the same thing.

Marvin

Line 34) So, just this?

Calista

Line 35) No. You’re also a talented chef.

Marvin laughs.

Marvin

Line 36) Calista. Please.

Calista

Line 37) How are you not convinced?

Calista

Line 38) You’re so clueless about your own potential it’s pissing me off.

Marvin laughs.

Marvin

Line 39) Okay, so I’m a good photographer and a good chef.

Marvin

Line 40) What’s next?

Calista

Line 41) You give yourself a name. And let the whole world know about it.

Calista

Line 42) You have enough money and support to brush up on your cooking skills, so that you can get some professional experience.

Calista

Line 43) After you get all your licenses and certifications needed. You’re able to start your own business.

Calista

Line 44) Open a restaurant.

Calista

Line 45) Publicize and advertise it.

Calista

Line 46) That’s where your photography skills can come into place.

Calista

Line 47) Then wait until you get the people's attention.

Calista

Line 48) Once they come. They’ll let the whole world know your name.

Calista

Line 49) Who knows. If you fully blast off, you could become a famous chef.

Calista

Line 50) Get yourself a michelin star and everything.

Calista

Line 51) Release a cookbook. Open a food networking show.

Calista

Line 52) The opportunities are endless. You’re capable of so much and don’t realize it.

Calista

Line 53) But, all of that starts when you decide to believe in yourself.

Marvin

Line 54) You really think I’m capable of all of that?

Calista

Line 55) Listen, do you know the brothers that created the airplane?

Marvin nods his head.

Calista

Line 56) Before all of that. I’m sure people thought that flying was completely and utterly impossible.

Calista

Line 57) If they were able to get us to fly, there’s no way you’re not capable of doing all of this.

Calista

Line 58) Mama Milly said that she also wanted to become a chef.

Calista

Line 59) The both of you should team up to fulfill her lifelong dream.

Calista

Line 60) And plus, you’d be able to work with her.

Marvin smiles thinking about it.

Marvin

Line 61) You’re quite imaginative.

Marvin

Line 62) All of that sounds amazing.

Marvin

Line 63) I’ll branch out and see where life takes me.

Calista smiles.

Calista

Line 64) That’s the spirit.

Marvin

Line 65) What about you?

Calista sighs.

Calista

Line 66) I’m definitely gonna quit my job.

Calista

Line 67) It’s been keeping me stationary all this time.

Calista

Line 68) Which was what I needed before, so I felt like I was doing something with my life.

Calista

Line 69) But now, I’ve realized I need to find something that’ll take me further.

Calista

Line 70) I didn’t realize that until I met you.

Calista

Line 71) I needed someone out there to touch base with, so that I could realize what life’s all about.

Calista

Line 72) And you were that person for me.

Calista

Line 73) Before I realized it. I was able to heal from what broke me in the past.

Calista

Line 74) None of that would’ve happened if it weren’t for you.

Calista

Line 75) I’m also ready to see where life takes me.

Calista

Line 76) A fresh start to my career.

Calista

Line 77) I want to wake up and be happy doing what I do.

Calista

Line 78) Thank you for taking me on this journey.

Calista

Line 79) I’ve learned so much from you.

Calista

Line 80) I can hardly recognize who I was before.

Calista

Line 81) I’m truly grateful for all the moments we spent together.

Calista

Line 82) From the bottom of my heart, what we share means the world to me.

Calista

Line 83) As much as all of this from the start was to help you.

Calista

Line 84) It helped me too.

Calista

Line 85) And maybe that was the whole point of all of this in the first place.

Calista

Line 86) We were meant to meet, and experience all of this together.

Marvin gets emotional and drags Calista into a hug.

They both hug each other passionately.

Rex comes by them and snuggles in.

Talulla gets home.

She sees them hugging each other.

Marvin notices Talulla.

She looks heavily upset.

Marvin

Line 87) What time is it?

Talulla

Line 88) It’s 6:23 PM.

Talulla opens the window to show that the sun is starting to set.

Marvin and Calista look at each other.

Talulla

Line 89) It’s time.

Talulla

Line 90) Let’s say our final goodbyes and initiate the ceremony.

Marvin and Calista look at each other upsettingly.

They nod their heads in agreement.

Marvin leads Calista out into the balcony.

They watch as the sunsets.

They glance at each other.

Marvin

Line 91) I love you so much, Calista.

Marvin

Line 92) With my whole heart and soul.

Marvin

Line 93) I can’t describe to you how much love I have for you.

Both of them get emotional.

Marvin

Line 94) Letting you go. Is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life.

Marvin strokes Calista’s face.

Marvin

Line 95) I don’t want you to go so badly.

Calista takes his hands and kisses it.

Calista

Line 96) Marvin. I love you so much.

Calista

Line 97) There’s no words that’ll show how much I love you.

Calista

Line 98) I love love love you so much.

Calista

Line 99) And I don’t want to leave you either.

Calista

Line 100) Even if my mind won’t remember you after this.

Calista

Line 101) My heart always will.

Calista

Line 102) Because it won’t be mistaken from my lost memories.

Calista

Line 103) I know I’ll always remember you.

Calista

Line 104) There’s no way I’ll forget any of this.

She holds Marvins face close to hers.

They kiss each other gently, savoring each moment.

They hug each other tightly as they make peace with their leaving.

Talulla intrudes on them.

Talulla

Line 105) Guys I want a hug too.

They let Talulla into the group hug.

Talulla

Line 106) I love you guys too!
