Marvin brings up the idea that he introduce Talulla and Calista to his friends for all of them to hang out.

Episode 71:

The day is Tuesday April 18 1967. It's morning.

They’re eating breakfast.

Talulla

Line 1) How was your guys’ date yesterday?

Calista smiles.

Calista

Line 2) It was amazing. I got to meet Marvin’s mom.

Talulla

Line 3) Wow. That’s a big deal.

Line 4) Marvin: I guess Talulla thinks that way too.

Calista

Line 5) What did you do yesterday?

Talulla

Line 6) I mainly just stayed home. Baby sat Rex. And watched some Television.

Calista

Line 7) And, how was that?

Talulla

Line 8) It wasn’t as bad as I thought.

Marvin

Line 9) My friends want to meet up with me today.

Marvin

Line 10) How about I introduce you all to them?

Marvin meets up with his friends at a cafe later in the afternoon of the day.

He enters the cafe seeing Cady by herself.

Marvin

Line 11) Cady? What are you doing here on your own?

Cady

Line 12) Oh, hey Marvin. The boys went out for a smoke.

Cady

Line 13) Who are these pretty ladies?

Marvin

Line 14) Let me introduce them to you all.

Cady

Line 15) Let’s go out with the boys then.

They meet out with the men who are smoking behind the cafe building.

They see Marvin and are in shock.

Todd

Line 16) Marvin, where have you been?

Russell

Line 17) I haven’t heard from you ever since you ran out on us during Todd’s dinner party.

Marvin

Line 18) Sorry about that, I’ve just been so preoccupied lately.

Todd

Line 19) Are these your friends?

Marvin

Line 20) I would like to introduce you guys to them.

Marvin

Line 21) This is my girlfriend Calista, and our friend Talulla.

They wave and Calista looks shyly at them.

Line 22) Calista: I can’t believe he called me his girlfriend!

They all look at Marvin shocked.

Todd, Russell and Cady

Line 23) Girlfriend?!

Marvin

Line 24) Yeah. This is why I’ve been so preoccupied.

Marvin puts his arm around Calista.

Calista blushes.

Marvin

Line 25) I’ve been hanging out with my girlfriend.

Russell

Line 26) Did you just decide to get one out of the blue?

Todd

Line 27) Yeah. How come none of us knew about this?

Marvin

Line 28) We’ve been getting to know each other through some time. And recently just made things official.

Line 29) Marvin: The smell of the smoke is impulsing. But, I can’t indulge in my old habits.

Cady

Line 30) This is great news! Congrats you two!

Marvin and Calista

Line 31) Thank you.

Russell and Todd look at Calista speculating about her.

Line 32) Calista: Jeez. I can feel their gazes piercing through me.

Marvin

Line 33) Enough with the judgy looks and introduce yourselves properly.

Marvin nudges Russell.

 

Marvin wraps his arm around Todd and places his head on his shoulder.

Russell

Line 34) Why do I have to be the first to do it?

Marvin

Line 35) Because I miss Todd, you grumpy old man. Now introduce yourself.

Calista

Line 36) That’s not necessary, Marvin. I already know who he is.

Russell

Line 37) What? Did Marvin already yap about me?

Russell replies sarcastically.

Russell

Line 38) Wow, that makes me feel so special.

Russell

Line 39) Nice to meet you Marvin’s girlfriend. My name is Russell Jimenez.

He leads out his arm for a handshake.

Calista accepts it.

Calista

Line 40) I’m Calista Turner. Nice to meet you.

Russell

Line 41) Calina?

Talulla

Line 42) It’s Calista.

Talulla extends her hand.

Talulla

Line 43) I’m Talulla.

Russell shakes it.

Russell

Line 44) It’s nice to meet the both of you.

Marvin

Line 45) Alright, now that that’s over with let’s go get some coffee.

Russell

Line 46) What? Todd and Cady have to introduce themselves too.

Marvin pats Russells Shoulder.

Marvin

Line 47) That was exclusively just for you, bud.

Russell overreacts and they all head into the cafe.

They sit at a Table.

Marvin

Line 48) Cady, is Jax coming?

Cady

Line 49) He’s on his way.

Jax makes it and they all hang out with each other and bond over coffee.

Todd

Line 50) So, you met with my sister?

Talulla nods her head as she sips her coffee.

Todd

Line 51) And how did that go?

Talulla

Line 52) She’s a… Difficult person to talk to. Sorry if you get offended by me saying that.

They all agree.

Todd

Line 53) How did it happen?

Talulla

Line 54) Well, I’m well aware she has a thing for Marvin.

Talulla

Line 55) She apparently spotted me one day, and asked who Calista was since she saw us with Marvin. And I said that she’s Marvin’s girlfriend.

They all gasp.

Talulla

Line 56) She started crying, and forced me to console her through some coffee.

Talulla hesitates.

Todd

Line 57) What else happened?

Talulla

Line 58) As her older brother. Do you really want to know?

Todd nods his head.

Everyone else is eager to know too (besides Calista and Marvin).

Talulla

Line 59) She was trying to prove to me that she’s a good person, but she was being rude the whole time, so I kind of put her in her place.

Todd

Line 60) And you did that how?

Talulla

Line 61) Ugh. I kind of snapped at her.

Everyone gasps.

Jax

Line 62) Wow. You’ve got some guts.

Todd

Line 63) What happened then?

Talulla

Line 64) That caused her to cry even more.

Talulla

Line 65) I do feel bad for it. So, when you see her, please tell her I’m sorry.

Talulla

Line 66) I’m nothing but a stranger to her. I shouldn’t have talked to her the way I did.

Russell

Line 67) That doesn’t sound like a bad thing.

Russell

Line 68) If I’m being honest, she needed to be humbled like that. No offense, Todd.

Jax

Line 69) Maybe this will change her for the better.

Talulla

Line 70) Either way, I still feel bad.

Talulla

Line 71) As her older brother. I completely understand if this made you upset.

Todd

Line 72) Actually no. I’m more shocked that she opened up to you like that.

Todd

Line 73) I have tried to get Elouise's attitude under control several times.

Todd

Line 74) She always blew me off though, saying it’s not my place to step in.

Todd

Line 75) It’s caused a rift between our relationship over the past few years. Because of that we aren’t as close as we used to be.

Todd

Line 76) We used to tell each other everything. But, now we barely talk.

Todd

Line 77) The fact that she took you out for coffee speaks volumes.

Talulla

Line 78) Maybe she talked to me, since it’s easier to talk to strangers at times.

Todd gets ectatic.

Todd

Line 79) Talulla. I beg you. You need to help me!

Talulla

Line 80) With what?

Todd

Line 81) If she’s able to only talk to you. Then we can change her.

Todd

Line 82) She just needs someone to talk to. That’ll help for sure.

Todd

Line 83) Since you’re the only person. You need to help me.

Talulla

Line 84) I have nothing better to do, so I guess I’ll help you.

Talulla

Line 85) But, I can’t promise anything will work out for sure.

Todd

Line 86) It’s worth a shot.

They wrap up the conversation and Talulla and Todd make their way to their place.

Cady

Line 87) Well I guess they’re off to execute their plan.

Jax

Line 88) I’m not so sure about it.

Russell

Line 89) It’s hard to imagine happy go lucky Elouise.

Russell

Line 90) You really did a number on her, Marvin.

Marvin

Line 91) Cut her some slack guys. I’m sure this’ll work. Talulla’s the best when it comes to situations like these.

Jax

Line 92) But, Elouise loves you.

Cady nudges Jax’s shoulder and tells him to zip it.

Jax

Line 93) Oh, I’m sorry.

Calista

Line 94) It’s totally cool. I’m well aware of their situation. No need to be cautious.

Russell

Line 95) And what are your thoughts on it?

Cady smacks Russells shoulder.

Calista

Line 96) My thoughts?

Calista makes accidental eye contact with Marvin.

Line 97) Calista: I’ve been avoiding his gaze all night because I’m not comfortable making a move around his friends.

Line 98) Calista: I never promised the move to be extravagant. I can just do something simple.

Calista interlocks her hands into Marvins.

Marvin glances at their hands.

Calista

Line 99) I honestly don’t blame her at all.

Calista

Line 100) I mean who couldn’t love a guy like him?

Calista blushes.

Marvin blushes as well.

Calista

Line 101) All in all. I wish her the best. I know that Talulla is fully capable of helping her out.

They all look at the couple happily and then part ways.

Marvin looks at Calista happily.

They head home by walking and Marvin kisses Calista’s cheek.
