Episode 65:

The day is Sunday April 16 1967.

Talulla is starting to wake up in Marvin’s bed.

Line 1) Talulla: Ugh. Why does it smell like fritos?

Talulla peers her eyes open and sees that Rex’s paws are next to her face.

She gets up and Rex piques her attention.

Talulla

Line 2) Aww, Rex!

Talulla

Line 3) Were you sleeping beside me all night?

Talulla pets Rex’s face and gives him a kiss.

Talulla

Line 4) You’re such a good boy!

Talulla gets out of bed and sees Marvin and Calista preparing for breakfast.

Talulla

Line 5) Good morning guys!

Marvin and Calista

Line 6) Good morning!

They sit and eat breakfast.

Marvin

Line 7) Are you feeling well rested?

Talulla nods her head.

Rex eats his food.

Marvin

Line 8) He’s so sneaky. How did he even get into my room?

Marvin

Line 9) Was he bugging you at night?

Talulla

Line 10) I didn’t even notice he was there until I woke up.

Talulla

Line 11) Do you guys have any plans for today?

Marvin

Line 12) U-Uh yeah.

Marvin

Line 13) I was thinking Calista and I could go on a date together.

Marvin

Line 14) Would that be alright with you?

Talulla

Line 15) Of course. Why wouldn’t it be?

Marvin

Line 16) It’s just that you wouldn’t have anything to do. Would you like me to set you up with my friends?

Talulla

Line 17) No, that's alright. And that’s not true. I have a city to explore.

Talulla

Line 18) I have plenty of things to do to keep myself occupied. So, don’t worry about me and go on your date.

Marvin and Calista smile.

Talulla

Line 19) I’ll even walk Rex for you.

Marvin

Line 20) Thanks, Talulla. I really appreciate it.

Marvin and Calista get ready for their day.

Calista is still wearing the same clothes.

This daunts Marvin.

Calista

Line 21) I’m ready.

Marvin

Line 22) Oh…

Calista

Line 23) Is everything okay?

Marvin

Line 24) It’s just. You’re wearing the same thing.

Calista

Line 25) Well yeah. It’s not like I could’ve bought a luggage with me here.

Calista

Line 26) Or could that have been a possibility?

Marvin

Line 27) Well it’s only fair.

Marvin

Line 28) Let’s go.

Calista

Line 29) What do you mean “it’s only fair”?

They head out and say bye to Talulla.

She waves them off in a smile and shrugs when they leave.

Line 30) Talulla: On second thought. What am I gonna do here?

Line 31) Talulla: If things don’t work out and we can’t leave, how the heck am I gonna survive in 1967?

Line 32) Talulla: I just realized that my family is still back in 2024.

Line 33) Talulla: We better be able to get back! I can’t leave them there!

Line 34) Talulla: I guess I’ll go explore the city for now to keep myself occupied.

Rex looks like he needs to use the bathroom.

Talulla sighs and pats him on the head.

Talulla

Line 35) You’re lucky you’re cute.

She takes him out and he does his business.

She shows disgust.

They get back home and Talulla heads out.

Talulla’s narration:

Line 36) It’s so surreal, that I’m in this time.

Line 37) How the heck is time travel even possible?

Line 38) And why did it work twice in our case scenario?

Line 39) I’d always look at the 60s as a retro era that I wanted to experience.

Line 40) Let’s see what all the hype is about.

Talulla walks around for a while and finds herself bored.

Line 41) Okay. Why haven’t I found anything interesting yet?

Line 42) I’m so bored. All people do in this city is shop.

Line 43) Things wouldn’t be so boring if I had someone to talk to.

Line 44) But, my only friends just HAD to go on a date with each other.

Line 45) Why am I nagging? They deserve to spend time like this with each other.

Line 46) I’m thinking nonsense. I shouldn’t be so selfish and let myself get in the way.

Line 47) That almost happened before we left, and I could’ve lost my precious friend.

Line 48) That was a reality check I most certainly needed.

Talulla walks by a store with glass showcasings and stops to look.

Creeping behind the store building is Elouise.

Elouise’s narration:

Line 49) That’s the girl from yesterday.

*Flashback to that moment.

Line 50) She was with Marvin and the other girl.

Elouise’s eye twitches.

Line 51) He had his arms wrapped around both of them.

Line 52) Just who the heck is she?

Elouise follows Talulla and fake trips near her.

Talulla

Line 53) Oh, I’m sorry. You okay?

Talulla lends her a hand, then recognizes her face.

*Flashback moment to the picture Talulla found with Marvin.

Talulla’s face molds into disgust as she helps her up.

Elouise

Line 54) Y-Yeah, I’m fine.

Elouise looks pissed.

Line 55) Elouise: I need to keep my composure.

Line 56) Elouise: If I snap at her, she won’t warm up to me or say anything.

Line 57) Elouise: But, why did she glance at me like that?

Line 58) Elouise: It’s as if she recognizes me.

Line 59) Elouise: Let me just compliment her so she can start yapping.

Elouise replies sarcastically.

Elouise

Line 60) Your outfit’s cute. Quite trendy.

Talulla makes a face shocked to hear that from Elouise.

Line 61) Talulla: She’s complimenting me?

Line 62) Talulla: That seems out of character.

Talulla

Line 63) Thanks…

Line 63) Elouise: That’s it? Just thanks?

Talulla tries to walk away, but Elouise grabs her hand.

Line 64) Elouise: Guess, I’ll get straight to the point.

Elouise

Line 64) Hey, before you go. Can I ask you something?

Talulla waits for her to say something.

Elouise

Line 65) I saw you with my friend yesterday.

Elouise

Line 66) Just wondering how do you know him?

Talulla gives her a look.

Line 67) Talulla: So she’s stalking us now?

Line 68) Talulla: I knew Elouise was obsessed with Marvin, but I didn’t take it she would go this far.

Talulla

Line 69) How did you see us?

Elouise stutters.

Line 70) Elouise: Well it’s true I was following Marvin.

Line 71) Elouise: But, it’s not like I’m a stalker or anything.

Line 72) Elouise: I was just curious why he left so abruptly.

Line 73) Elouise: But, I did follow this girl out here. So, I’m not looking too good.

Elouise

Line 74) I just saw you all from afar. Nothing suspicious.

Talulla is annoyed.

Elouise

Line 75) So, are you gonna answer my question?

Talulla

Line 76) We’re just friends.

Elouise sighs from relief.

Elouise

Line 77) How come I’ve never heard of you?

Elouise

Line 78) Any friends of Marvin are mine too.

Elouise

Line 79) What about the other girl he was with?

Line 80) Elouise: The one he picked up!

Elouise is furious on the inside.

Line 81) Talulla: Why’s she being so nosy?

Talulla

Line 82) Her name is Calista. She’s Marvin’s girlfriend.

Elouise is shocked and upset.

Scene goes to Calista and Marvin.

He buys Calista some flowers.

Marvin is buying Calista an outfit.

They walk into the store and have a clerk help them out.

Calista tries on a bunch of things.

She picks out something she likes and they go with it.

They exit the store with Calista all gussied up.

Calista

Line 83) Thank you, Marvin!

Marvin

Line 84) Of course. My girlfriend deserves to be spoiled.

Calista smiles and hugs Marvin.

They get to the destination Marvin wanted to go to.

They get on their boat and Marvin row it to where he wants to go.

Calista admires the sight.

Line 85) Calista: His muscles slightly flex as he rows the boat.

Line 86) Calista: It’s quite eye candy if I’m being honest.

Calista blushes.

Marvin notices.

Marvin

Line 87) What’s up?

Calista

Line 88) Oh nothing. You just look really good.

Marvin is caught off guard and blushes.

Calista

Line 89) You have a good physique.

Marvin blushes and shyly waves it off.

Marvin

Line 90) Oh, stop.

Marvin

Line 91) You do realize. That this physique. Is all yours now?

Calista blushes.

Calista

Line 92) Eh. I guess you’re right.

Calista looks around the marsh.

Calista

Line 93) Ahh. It’s so nice out here.

Calista

Line 94) The fresh breeze is just what I needed.

Marvin

Line 95) It’s amazing, isn’t it? I absolutely love coming here.

Marvin

Line 96) Usually Rex would be in your place, though.

Calista

Line 97) Is he good on the boat?

Marvin

Line 98) He’s very cooperative.

Calista

Line 99) Should we start our picnic?

Marvin

Line 100) Let’s get to the land first.

Calista

Line 101) We weren’t gonna have it on the boat?

Marvin

Line 102) Is that what you were thinking?

Marvin

Line 103) Of course not. There’s a spot I want to show you.

Marvin smiles.

He wraps the boat around a stop, and gets out.

He then helps Calista get out with the picnic basket in hand.

Marvin

Line 104) Let’s get going.

Calista is excited.

End of episode.
