Episode 60:

January 1st 2024. The day is Monday.

Talulla comes out of the room showing how she looks to Marvin and Calista.

Talulla

Line 1) Do you think that what you picked out looks good enough?

Marvin

Line 2) Yeah, it does.

Calista

Line 3) What time will your friends be here, Marvin?

Marvin checks his phone.

Marvin

Line 4) Around ten minutes.

Marvin’s narration:

Line 5) That means I have ten minutes to say goodbye to Calista if we’re never able to see each other.

Marvin starts zoning out.

Line 6) Ten minutes is not nearly enough for me to say goodbye to her properly.

Line 7) All of this better work out. I’m definitely not ready for her to leave.

Calista grabs Marvin’s hand.

She can tell he’s not feeling so well about all of this.

Calista

Line 8) How’re you holding up?

Marvin shakes out his jitters.

Marvin

Line 9) Can we talk by the balcony?

They make their way to the balcony to have a private conversation.

Calista can tell from the way Marvin is acting, that he’s starting to cave into the pressure.

She grabs both of his hands and rubs them softly.

Calista

Line 10) Doubts are evil.

Marvins eyes spark up.

Calista

Line 11) They creep in at the last minute and make you question if things’ll work out.

Calista

Line 12) I’m on the same boat as you.

Calista

Line 13) There’s so much I want to say, do, and experience with you.

Calista

Line 14) The thing is. We’re not certain if all of that is guaranteed.

Calista

Line 15) Which is why we have to be prepared for the worst.

Calista

Line 16) And that’s never seeing each other again.

Calista puts Marvin’s hands on her face.

Calista

Line 17) Even if I might not remember all the things we’ve been through.

Calista

Line 18) It’ll still be painful because it includes all our memories together being forgotten.

Calista

Line 19) I don’t want that to happen to us at all.

Calista

Line 20) But, it’s inevitable that it’ll happen eventually.

Calista

Line 21) And I’m sorry for the both of us on that part.

Calista

Line 22) It’s something I’m not sure I’ll ever be ready to do.

Calista

Line 23) But, something I’m sure of, is I’m not ready to do it NOW.

Calista starts getting emotional.

Marvin wipes her tears.

He starts getting emotional himself.

Marvin

Line 24) Jeez, Calista.

He hugs her tightly and cries on her shoulder.

She hugs him back and rubs his back.

She rubs him softly and rocks back forth.

He pulls back a bit and keeps his face on hers.

Marvin

Line 25) I love you so much Calista. I’m not ready to leave you either.

Marvin

Line 26) You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

Marvin

Line 27) I don’t want you to be the one that got away.

Marvin

Line 28) I want to be with you for as long as I can.

Marvin

Line 29) If I could hold you in my arms forever I would.

Marvin

Line 30) I just want to cherish every last bit of you.

Marvin

Line 31) I don’t care if I’m holding onto too tight.

Marvin

Line 32) I might get blisters along the way, or my fingers might ache.

Marvin

Line 33) But, holding onto you is worth it. So, I’ll do all that I can.

Marvin

Line 34) My life will feel unfamiliar without you.

Marvin

Line 35) You bring out a part of me I've missed for so long.

Marvin

Line 36) I want us to last.

Marvin

Line 37) No matter what we get into.

Marvin

Line 38) No matter how difficult it gets.

Marvin

Line 39) I want us to stick by each other’s side.

Marvin

Line 40) Because I’m so way too in love with you.

Marvin grabs Calista’s face.

She holds her hands around his waist.

Calista

Line 41) You’re so sweet.

Calista grabs Marvin’s face.

Calista

Line 42) I love you so much too.

Calista strokes Marvins face.

She leans in to kiss him.

Marvin is caught a bit off-guard and has his eyes wide-open.

Calista finishes off and is a bit embarrassed.

Calista

Line 43) U-Um. Thanks for that.

Calista starts blushing and looks away.

Marvin starts laughing.

Marvin

Line 44) You don’t say thanks after you kiss someone.

Marvin

Line 45) Come over here.

He gets back to Calista.

She’s shielding her face from him.

Marvin

Line 46) Don’t be embarrassed. It was an intimate moment.

Marvin

Line 47) It was affectionate and considerate of you.

Marvin

Line 48) I liked it.

Marvin

Line 49) In fact. I loved it.

Marvin holds his hands onto Calista’s until she stops covering her face.

She is flushed and still embarrassed.

Marvin

Line 50) But that was just a peck.

Marvin leans in and gives Calista a passionate kiss.

They hold each other and Marvin sneaks his hands around Calista’s waist.

When he finishes he grabs Calista’s face.

She is still caught under his spell and a bit disoriented.

Marvin

Line 51) Now that was a real kiss, huh?

He smiles at Calista and they hug each other for much longer.

Talulla comes by the balcony to tell them that his friends are here.

Talulla

Line 52) Marvin. Your friends are here.

Talulla leaves.

Marvin and Calista unbind from each other.

Marvin

Line 53) Let’s head on back.

Calista nods her head.

Marvin

Line 54) Everything will work out the way we want it to. I promise.

Calista smiles.

They head to where everyone is.

Marvin greets his friends.

Marvin

Line 55) Good to see you guys.

Cady

Line 56) We’re glad to see you too.

Calista

Line 57) Hello.

They wave at Calista.

Russell

Line 58) The infamous Calista Marvin’s been raving so hard about.

Calista

Line 59) Oh. Has he?

Talulla

Line 60) He would meet up with them to conspire about you and how he could get closer to you.

Calista looks at Marvin.

Marvin lets out a nervous chuckle.

Marvin

Line 61) I forgot to mention that to you.

Marvin

Line 62) You’re not mad right?

Calista

Line 63) Of course not. These are your trusted friends.

Calista smiles.

Russell

Line 64) So, what made you like Marvin so much?

Russell

Line 65) You seem like a bundle of sunshine.

Russell

Line 66) And he’s Mr. Grumpy.

Russell looks at Marvins annoyed face.

Russell

Line 67) Just kidding.

Calista laughs.

Calista

Line 68) He’s not grumpy. But, he can be sassy sometimes.

Everyone laughs except Marvin.

Marvin

Line 69) Guys, I’m standing right here.

Calista

Line 70) But you're so funny when you're sassy.

Marvin blushes.

Cady

Line 71) Are these your attempted looks at looking like you’re from the 60s?

Calista and Talulla pose next to each other.

Talulla

Line 72) What do you think?

Cady

Line 73) You gals look chic! Brings me back to the good old days.

Talulla

Line 74) Yay! But, that’s only because of Marvin's help.

Russell

Line 75) Ah. Makes sense.

Russell looks at Marvin knowing he’s good at these things because of his sister.

Cady

Line 76) Anyways, let’s get this ceremony started.

Calista and Marvin look hesitant.

Russell

Line 77) So, how do we do it?

Talulla

Line 78) I’ll explain. Let’s all just gather around.

Talulla gets up and starts lighting candles.

Talulla goes to Calista for help.

Talulla

Line 79) Help me out, please.

Calista starts to light candles too.

Talulla

Line 80) I’m trying to replicate the ceremony based on how Calista and I did it the first time around.

Talulla

Line 81) So, don’t be freaked out.

Russell and Calista look weary.

Talulla pulls out the pamphlet.

Talulla

Line 82) You two will need to read an affirmation from this pamphlet.

Talulla skims to the correct page.

Talulla

Line 83) Alright, this is the one.

Talulla shows it to Russell and Cady.

Talulla

Line 84) Hold each other's hands, facing each other, while keeping your eyes closed. And saying the affirmation 5 times.

Cady

Line 85) “Let time take its course”?

Talulla

Line 86) Indeed we shall.

Talulla

Line 87) After that wait around 10 to 20 seconds before we do anything else.

Talulla

Line 88) If that doesn’t work, we’ll try it once more and then move on to another affirmation if that doesn’t work too.

Talulla

Line 89) Again in intervals, waiting for 10-20 seconds.

Russell and Cady whisper to each other.

Russell

Line 90) I have my doubts about this.

Cady

Line 91) So do I. But if it brought Marvin to this time. We should take his word.

Russell clears his throat.

Russell

Line 92) Are you guys sure this’ll work?

Talulla

Line 93) It should. But, we’ll do everything else to make it work too.

Russell

Line 94) Alright then. Let’s get this started.

Cady

Line 95) What will you guys be doing?

Talulla

Line 96) We’re just going to stand here and take in what you guys are saying, since we’re not involved in the ceremony. You guys are just sending us back.

Cady

Line 97) Alright then. Let’s do this thing.

Cady and Russell bind each other's hands.

Russell

Line 98) Are you guys ready?

Calista and Marvin look at each other.

Marvin winks at Calista to assure her.

Calista and Marvin

Line 99) Yes!

Russell and Cady close their eyes and start the ceremony.

Cady and Russell

Line 100) “Let time take its course.” “Let time take its course.”

Marvin’s narration:

Line 101) If things don’t work out at all. I can be with Calista in this lifetime.

Line 102) I’m not against it at this point. I want to be with her even if it means giving up everything I once had going for me..

Line 103) If things don't work out in another way. This may be the last time I ever see her.

Calista, Marvin, and Talulla hold their hands together and close their eyes.

Cady and Russell

Line 104) “Let time take its course.” “Let time take its course.”

Cady and Russell

Line 105) “Let time take its course.”

They wait 10-20 seconds and nothing happens.

Russell and Cady are waiting for their cue.

Calista, Marvin, and Talulla peer their eyes open to see if anything worked.

Talulla

Line 106) Let’s just wait 10 more seconds, that’s how it happened the first time around-

Everything in the room starts in a whirlwind.

And bright light shines and engulfs their whole room.

End of episode.
