In Another Lifetime By Yosh Episode 44A Chapter by Yosh Marvin and Calista decide to go somewhere out of town with each other so that they can spend some more time together to bond.

Calista and Marvin head out somewhere for a getaway with each other. They have their luggages beside them. Calista’s narration: Line 1) Even if I’m flirtatious with him. Line 2) Should the day come when I can't say all the things I want to him. I need to express how I feel, but not in a direct manner. Line 3) I think we both secretly know it and are hiding it from each other. Line 4) If it stays this way until he leaves. Line 5) As long as he’s fulfilling his goal by finding someone to love. Line 6) I don’t think it’s harmful that we like each other in that way. Line 7) I just hope he doesn’t like me too much to the point where he’s given up on finding someone else. Line 8) This is just the way we feel now. But, if we’re speaking in long-term circumstances, it won’t work out. Marvin opens the trunk to Talulla’s car and places their luggages inside. They get into the car and make their way to their destination. They arrive in New York. Marvin Line 9) I haven’t been here in so long. Calista Line 10) Neither have I. They both beam from excitedness. They arrive at their hotel and slightly unpack. Marvin lays out all their travel postcards on what to do. Marvin Line 11) Where do you want to go? Calista points to the sightseeing option. Calista Line 12) Sightseeing of course. A tour guide shows them around the city for half the day. They find themselves near famous landmarks. They take pictures and enjoy the scenery. Tour guide Line 13) Let’s head to the helicopter. Calista and Marvin look at the tour guide in shock. Calista Line 14) Did you say helicopter? Tour guide Line 15) Well yeah. The tour includes a helicopter ride around Manhattan. They didn’t look at the back of the travel postcard. Calista and Marvin excuse themselves to talk amongst each other. Calista Line 16) Are you okay with this? Marvin Line 17) We did pay for it. Might as well get our money’s worth. Calista Line 18) But, you’re scared of heights. Calista Line 17) Don’t force yourself to do this. Marvin smiles at Calista. Marvin Line 18) I’ll be fine. Don’t worry.
Line 19) I’m sure I’m capable of getting through it this time. Calista Line 20) Hold my hand again if you have to. They get on the helicopter and it prepares for take off. It’s quite shaky and Marvin bumps into Calista a bunch of times. They take in the scenery. She holds Marvin’s hand and they both blush. They finish the tour and land back on ground. It’s around evening this time. Calista Line 21) That wasn’t so bad, right? Marvin Line 22) Yeah. It was easier this time around. Marvin Line 23) Either I got over my fear or it was just a stationary ride. Marvin Line 24) If I did get over it. It’s all because of you. Calista blushes. Calista Line 25) You’re giving me way too much credit. Marvin Line 26) You deserve the recognition. Marvin Line 27) Because of you I was able to go on this with ease. Marvin Line 28) You were there to hold my hand. Marvin Line 29) I couldn’t have done it without you. Calista blushes and smiles. Calista Line 30) I’m flattered to know I helped. Calista Line 31) But, you’re the one that pushed yourself to make these bold moves. So, don’t forget to give yourself some credit too. Marvin Line 32) I’m glad you made me come out of my comfort zone. Marvin Line 33) If it weren’t for your influence, I would’ve never done something like this. Marvin Line 34) Anyways, we haven’t eaten the entire day. Marvin Line 35) Let’s go grab a bite. I know a good place. Calista Line 36) Wait. Do you know the people at the place? Marvin Line 37) My close relatives put in a word for me and I would go there a lot when I was young. Calista Line 38) Do you think it’s a good idea to go? Marvin halts. Marvin Line 39) Oh. I guess that didn’t cross my mind. Marvin Line 40) I forgot I shouldn’t let people who know me see me so recklessly. Calista Line 41) It’s really not like that. If you really want to go. Then it’s no problem. Marvin Line 42) No, it’s fine. The more people that know, the more this situation gets out of hand. Marvin Line 43) We should eat somewhere else. Marvin looks a bit bummed. Calista Line 44) I’m sorry, Marvin. Marvin Line 45) Nothing to worry about. I just got ahead of myself. Calista tries to cheer him up. Calista Line 46) Let’s go somewhere really nice. Calista Line 47) Somewhere high end and luxury. Marvin’s eyes spark up. Calista Line 48) In fact. Did you bring something nice to wear for the trip? Marvin nods his head. Calista Line 49) I’ll tell you what. Let’s head back to the hotel. Get gussied up and then get dinner. Calista Line 50) We deserve to treat ourselves somewhere nice They get dressed and Calista waits for Marvin as he gets ready. He calls out to Calista from the other room. Marvin Line 51) I’m just about ready. Sorry to keep you waiting. Calista Line 52) Don’t worry about it. Please, take your time. Marvin walks out looking fresh. Calista blushes as she looks at him. Calista Line 53) There you are. I just made a reservation. They’ll be expecting us soon. Calista Line 54) You look handsome. Marvin blushes and finds himself stammering on his words. Marvin Line 55) E-Ehh. T-Thank you very much. Marvin Line 56) You look beautiful yourself. Marvin Line 57) That color suits you well. Calista blushes and thanks Marvin. They make their way to the restaurant. Marvin Line 58) Wow! This place looks really nice. Calista Line 59) Tell me about it. A waiter greets them at a table. They get drinks and order some food. Calista Line 60) It wouldn’t be New York if we didn’t order some classic food. Marvin Line 61) New York is totally different from the last time I came. Marvin Line 62) It’s just so up to date and current. Marvin Line 63) Definitely the most astounding place we’ve visited yet. Calista notices Marvin’s excitement. Calista’s narration: Line 64) His eyes beam in enthusiasm. Line 65) His reaction is so enchanting. It's precious. Marvin catches Calista staring at him as she zones out. He tries to tease Calista by saying something cocky. Marvin Line 66) Can’t keep your eyes off of me? Calista Line 67) You’ve got that right. Marvin is caught off-guard. He wasn’t expecting that answer. Marvin Line 68) What’s with you? Calista Line 69) What? Am I not allowed to enjoy myself by looking at you? Marvin Line 70) What’s there to enjoy by looking at me? Calista Line 71) Be kind to yourself. There’s a lot of things. Calista Line 72) The way you express yourself with your reactions are endearing. Marvin blushes. Marvin Line 73) You’re being quite bold. Calista Line 74) I was holding back until just recently. Marvin Line 75) Holding back from what? Calista Line 76) I guess, just my authentic self. Calista Line 77) There were parts of me that were holding my emotions back against you. Calista Line 78) But, since we’ve been bonding and you told me about how you thought I was acting weird around you. I’ve realized you were right and I should fix that. Calista Line 79) That’s why I’m more comfortable now. Does that make sense? I feel like I’m just saying a bunch nonsense. Marvin smiles at Calista and enjoys her explanation. Marvin Line 80) I get what you mean. Calista blushes. They bring out the food and dig in. The food is classical New york style dishes. They react to how good the food is. Marvin Line 81) This was a really good decision. Calista Line 82) Wasn’t it? They enjoy their meals and head to the hotel. They unwind and start to get into their beds. Marvin Line 83) I had a really good time with you, Calista. Calista Line 84) I had a great time with you as well, Marvin. Calista Line 85) Let’s continue this tomorrow? Marvin gives Calista a thumbs up. Marvin Line 86) Good night. Sleep well. Calista Line 87) You too. Marvin gets into bed and notices how the head board seems out of place. Line 88) Marvin: What the heck? Why is this so low? Marvin gets out of bed and checks on the headboard of the bed. The headboard is clearly broken and kneeling by touching the ground. Calista Line 89) I heard some shuffling. Are you okay? Marvin Line 90) I think this bed is broken. Calista gasps and gets out of bed. She checks and confirms that the bed is indeed broken. Calista Line 91) I’ll call room service. Marvin Line 92) It’s late. I’ll just sleep on the ground. I don’t want to bug the staff. Calista Line 93) Don’t worry. They work 24/7. We’ll see what they can do. She finishes up the call with the staff. Marvin Line 94) What’d they say? Calista Line 95) They told us to gather our belongings and head back to the main hall for a relocation. This room will be blocked off to others. Marvin Line 96) What? They’ll really do that for us? Calista Line 97) Yeah. They kept apologizing and telling us they’ll make it up by giving us a room upgrade. They gather their stuff and head to the main hall. Staff Line 98) We’re sorry for the inconvenience. We’ll make sure you guys get an upgrade. Calista Line 99) Don’t worry about it. That won’t be necessary. Staff Line 100) Oh, come on. We insist. We want to make sure you guys have the best stay with us. Calista Line 101) You’re too kind. We appreciate all the help. She looks up some rooms and gives a disappointed look. Staff Line 102) Unfortunately, we only have a one-bedroom grande suit left. Staff Line 103) Other than that all our two-bedrooms are booked. Calista Line 104) Are there any group rooms? Staff Line 105) There are, but they’ll be pricey. Calista looks at Marvin. He whispers to her. Marvin Line 106) There’s no need. Let’s just take the grand suit. Don’t spend more than you need to. Calista Line 107) Alright then. We’ll take the grand suite. Staff Line 108) Perfect. You guys make a great couple anyways. So, the room is perfect for you guys. They look at the Staff in confusion. Staff Line 109) Oh. Are you guys not a couple? They shake their heads no. Staff Line 110) Oh. Sorry for the mix-up. Please enjoy your stay with us.
