Calista pries Marvin off the couch and tucks him into bed. Marvin mumbles in his sleep. Marvin Line 1) Did you at weast like the stweak…? Calista Line 2) What was that? Marvin gets up as if he’s been resurrected and swiftly turns his head to Calista which startles her. Marvin Line 3) Calista? Marvin Line 4) Calina? Calista laughs. Calista Line 5) Man, you really are wasted. Calista Line 6) That’s fine. Rest up well. Calista points to a garbage can near the corner. Calista Line 7) I’m gonna place this garbage can here just in case you feel sick and need to hurl. Calista goes to put the garbage can near his bedside and Marvin grabs her hand. Calista looks at Marvin. Marvin Line 8) You didn’t answer my question. Marvin is all serious out of the blue. Calista Line 9) Oh sorry. What was it? She sits by his bedside. Marvin Line 10) I asked if you liked the meal? Calista Line 11) Oh. Yeah. Of course I did. Calista Line 12) It was amazing. Definitely 5/5 stars. Marvin laughs and smirks weirdly. Marvin Line 13) Of course it was. Marvin Line 14) You want to know why? Calista Line 15) Because you made it? Marvin Line 16) Hey! That was supposed to be my line. Calista Line 17) Oh sorry. You can ask again. Marvin Line 18) Forget it. Marvin goes under his covers. Calista laughs. Calista Line 19) You’re so different from your usual self. Calista Line 20) Will you be okay for the night? Marvin whines. Calista Line 21) Is that a yes? Marvin Line 22) I can’t breathe! Calista Line 23) Then take your head out of your covers. Marvin quickly does that and gasps for air dramatically. Calista laughs. Calista Line 24) You’re so dramatic. Calista Line 25) Kay. I’m gonna go. Have a good night you. Marvin grabs Calista’s arm again. Marvin Line 26) Talk to me! Calista Line 27) But it’s late. You should sleep. Calista Line 28) What are the chances you’ll remember our conversation the next day? Marvin groans. Marvin Line 29) You don’t get it. He takes his covers and turns his back on Calista. Calista is shocked. Calista Line 30) Did I just unlock sassy Marvin? Marvin Line 31) Calina. Do me a favor and keep staying here for me. Marvin Line 32) I’m mad at you. But I want you to seek my attention. Pretend like you want to hear from me. He turns his head at her. Marvin Line 33) What are you waiting for? Calista gets into character. Calista Line 34) Oh, my poor friend. I didn’t mean what I said earlier. Talk to me. I want to hear what you have to say. Calista Line 35) I promise I’ll stay right here. Marvin groans. Marvin Line 36) Now you’re just being sarcastic. Marvin pulls to the side again and huffs. Calista laughs. Calista Line 37) Fine, I’ll be serious. Calista walks over to the other side where Marvin hid off too. He’s hiding his face in his covers. She sits on the ground beside his bed. Calista Line 38) What should we talk about? Marvin gets serious and pokes his head out of his covers. He thinks to himself and then asks. Marvin Line 39) When you decide you’re gonna settle down and start a family… Marvin Line 40) Are you going to be the type of parent who embarrases their kids by forcing them to say “I love you” back when you say it? Calista is confused. Calista Line 41) What struck up this question? Marvin Line 42) Just answer. Or I’m going to turn my back and never talk to you again. Calista Line 43) Well, then yes. Calista Line 44) I want to be the type of parent who is very attentive to their children even if it embarrasses them at times. Calista Line 45) That’s what it’s all about. Marvin Line 46) Good. Me too. Calista Line 47) It’s tradition for parents to be that way. Calista Line 48) But, I won’t go overboard. I’ll keep it at bay. Calista Line 49) I won’t make the same mistakes my parents made. Marvin Line 50) Me too. I want to be the best for them. Calista Line 51) Anything else? Marvin Line 52) Yeah. Marvin Line 53) I like you. Calista goes silent in shock. Calista Line 54) Um. Yeah. Calista Line 55) I like you too. Marvins eyes go wide. Marvin Line 56) Seriously? Calista Line 57) What do you mean seriously? Marvin Line 58) No I don’t think you get it. I like you, Calina. Calista Line 59) Yeah. I know. Marvin Line 60) What do you mean you know? Marvin Line 61) You should’ve said something if you know. Calista Line 62) Why do we have to proclaim we like each other? Marvin Line 63) What do you mean WHY? You have to say it to me! Calista Line 64) You like Talulla too, right? Calista Line 65) And she likes you back. But you never say it to each other like this. Marvin looks at Calista in shock. Marvin Line 66) Forget it. You don’t understand. Marvin makes a burrito out of himself with his blanket and rolls the other side of the bed. Calista Line 67) Alright. Good night. Marvin Line 68) Whatever. Calista walks out the room and goes to her room and shuts the door. She leans on the door and covers her face. She’s blushing immensely. Calista’s narration: Line 69) I knew what he meant. I was just playing dumb. Line 70) Oh my Gosh. Marvin likes me?! Line 71) This is crazy! I can’t believe it! Line 72) How will I be able to contain myself around him now? Back to Marvin in his nook. Line 73) Marvin: Why did I say “whatever” to Calina. Line 74) Marvin: I should go back and apologize to her. Marvin goes to her room and opens the door, while calling for her. Marvin Line 75) Calina!!! Calista falls back on Marvin since she was leaning on her door. This makes him fall back and she falls on his lap. She opens her eyes to him looking down at her. She starts blushing and covers her face. She gets off of him. Calista Line 76) Sorry, Marvin! Are you alright? Calista Line 77) There was a loud thud sound. You must’ve bonked your head. Calista instinctively goes to grab Marvin’s head to check. Marvin grabs Calista’s hand and that causes her to be closer to him. She starts blushing. Marvin Line 78) See? I like- Marvin gets nauseous. And his cheeks puff up with vomit. Calista gets panicky and immediately grabs a clothing bag. Marvin does his business and leans his head back. Marvin Line 79) Next time. I’ll teach you how to make soup. He sloshes the bag in front of Calista. Calista laughs. Calista Line 80) Are you feeling any better? Marvin burps. Marvin Line 81) Excuse me. Marvin Line 82) Um. I still feel woozy. Calista Line 83) Yeah. We’re going to have to keep this bag by your side for the night. Marvin Line 84) I’m sorry I got drunk and threw up. Calista Line 85) It’s okay. We all have those moments. Calista Line 86) But, why did you come by my room? Marvin groans. Marvin Line 87) I felt bad that I said “whatever” to you instead of goodnight. Sorry about that. Calista smiles. Calista Line 88) You’re silly. Marvin Line 89) But, why were you leaning on your door? Calista blushes and struggles to formulate a sentence. Calista Line 90) W-Well cause. Calista Line 91) You see I… Calista Line 92) W-Was actually on my phone and was just casually leaning on my door while I was on it. Marvin looks behind Calista and sees that her phone is on her desk. He points behind her. Marvin Line 93) Why were you actually leaning on your door? Marvin starts teasing Calista. Marvin Line 94) Are you embarrassed because I said I like you? Line 95) Calista: He sees right through me. Calista Line 96) This isn’t about me. This is about you. Marvin Line 97) Stop trying to change the subject. Just admit that’s what this was. Calista Line 98) So, I see we’re calling each other out all of a sudden. Calista Line 99) If that’s the case, why did you drink so much tonight? Marvin talks without shame. Marvin Line 100) Because I like you. He leans on Calista’s shoulder. She’s still blushing immensely. Marvin Line 101) I like you so much Calista. Line 102) Calista: Hey. He finally got my name right. Marvin Line 103) And it makes me sad thinking about how I might not be here much longer. Marvin Line 104) I don’t want to leave you. He looks at Calista as he rests his head on her shoulder.
