Hopelessly Yours by Yosh Episode 12

Sotsona is still at Casimir's place and they discuss some more things, slightly getting distracted since their intentions for meeting up were to discuss how Sotsona would associate with Casimir's mom.

Episode 12:

February 19th 2024. The day is Monday.

Casimir mentions that he tends to overreact with Sotsona because he wants to protect her.

Sotsona

Line 1) Trust me. You don’t have to think that way. I’m more than capable of taking care of myself.

Casimir

Line 2) Either way, it’s good to have someone by your side. In case things go wrong.

Sotsona

Line 3) You have a point, but just try toning things down a bit.

Sotsona

Line 4) I feel like you’re stressing yourself out for me.

Sotsona smiles.

Casimir smirks at her.

Casimir

Line 5) Whatever you say. I’ll do as you wish.

Sotsona looks at Casimir in a questionable way.

Sotsona

Line 6) Don’t talk that way. You’re making it sound like you’ll listen and oblige to anything I ask you to do.

Sotsona

Line 7) Have some authority. Take initiative. Use your status. Don’t be so agreeable with me.

Casimir

Line 8) Only a b*****d would use their status against people.

Casimir

Line 9) Everyone should be treated the same way.

Casimir

Line 10) To anyone that does the opposite, I truly despise them.

Casimir

Line 11) That’s pure tyranny. I wouldn’t ever abuse my power like that.

Casimir

Line 12) Rather I should use it to help people. 

Sotsona is surprised by Casimir’s response.

Sotsona

Line 13) Wow. Forgive me for assuming you would.

Sotsona

Line 14) But, you got my point, right? You’re agreeing with me way too often.

Sotsona

Line 15) Don’t try to please me. Disagree with me all you like.

Sotsona

Line 16) Show me your true colors, and I’ll show you mine.

Casimir chokes on his tea and laughs.

Casimir

Line 17) I like how you have no barrier.

Casimir

Line 18) You just say whatever’s on your mind, regardless of the setting.

Sotsona notices this as he points it out.

Sotsona

Line 19) That’s a bit impolite, isn’t it? I promised for the New Year that I would watch what I say some more.

Casimir

Line 20) I personally don’t think it’s a bad thing. I like how straightforward you are.

Casimir

Line 21) No sugar coating. Just genuine answers.

Casimir

Line 22) It’s new to me. And I like it.

Casimir

Line 23) No one else I know associates with anyone like this.

Casimir

Line 24) You’re my first.

Casimir smiles at Sotsona.

Sotsona looks away from Casimir, due to embarrassment.

She’s afraid to look him in the eye. 

Line 25) Sotsona’s inner thoughts: I’m not used to the way Casimir has been talking to me.

Line 26) Sotsona’s inner thoughts: It’s new to me too.

Line 27) Sotsona’s inner thoughts: However, I’m not sure if I like it.

Line 28) Sotsona’s inner thoughts: It’s definitely a first, that’s for sure.

Casimir

Line 29) Anyways, sorry for getting distracted. We should be planning about my mom.

Sotsona

Line 30) Right, let’s move on to that.

Casimir

Line 31) So, let me tell you what she’s like.

Casimir

Line 32) Similarly to you, she’s also very straightforward, only to strangers though.

Casimir

Line 33) But, rather in a very blunt and blatant way. I guess you could blame that on her being a businesswoman.

Casimir

Line 34) What I’m trying to say is that you have to be clear and concise when speaking with her since you guys aren’t familiar with each other yet.

Casimir

Line 35) Not stutters, ums, or buts.

Casimir

Line 36) Just state your clear cut intentions on marrying me.

Casimir

Line 37) However, I’ll give her a heads up before you meet her, so that she can lighten up on you.

Casimir

Line 38) After I tell her about our marriage, of course.

Sotsona looks shocked at Casimir.

Sotsona

Line 39) You still haven’t told her about us?

Casimir hesitantly replies.

Casimir

Line 40) … No. But you haven’t either, right?

Sotsona

Line 41) Don’t flip the question onto me, I was asking you.

Casimir

Line 42) Okay, but I answered you, now answer me. Have you told anyone?

Sotsona hesitantly replies too.

Sotsona

Line 43) … No. But, it’s not like I have anyone to tell.

Sotsona

Line 44) You on the other hand, have a whole company to tell.

Sotsona

Line 45) What are you going to tell them about how we got engaged?

Casimir

Line 46) Don’t worry. I have something up my sleeve that you’re just going to have to wait and see for yourself.

Sotsona

Line 47) … Okay. But you should really tell them about us. The sooner the better… Like you always say.

Casimir smiles.

Casimir

Line 48) You’re using my own words against me.

Sotsona

Line 49) You keep mentioning your mom. But, what about your dad?

Casimir

Line 50) Just the way you use the clauses of our contract not to open up about yourself, the same goes for me.

Sotsona

Line 51) Oh… I see… Sorry.

Casimir

Line 52) It’s fine. But, anyways we should be talking about my mom.

Casimir

Line 53) We have to do some prepping for how you should converse with her.

Casimir

Line 54) This is something you have to be convincing with because she’ll most likely want to speak with you privately.

Casimir

Line 55) That means I won’t be able to back you up.

Sotsona rubs her head in distress.

Sotsona

Line 56) Yeah, you’ve made that quite clear.

Casimir

Line 57) So, let’s practice.

They practice for some time and Casimir gives his advice and how she should approach things with his mom.

Sotsona lays on Casimir’s couch all exhausted from Casimir’s inputs.

Sotsona

Line 58) I’m beat.

Casimir

Line 59) Sorry. I should’ve gone easier on you, but I got ahead of myself.

Casimir

Line 60) Are you okay?

Sotsona

Line 61) I’m fine. I just didn’t think it would take this much to prep for simply meeting someone’s mom.

Casimir laughs.

Casimir

Line 62) I’m sorry for overloading you with things to do.

Casimir

Line 63) But, we have to make sure you can pull this off.

Casimir

Line 64) Which I’m certain you can do by the way.

Sotsona makes eye contact with Casimir.

She pulls out her phone and gets a glimpse of the time.

Sotsona

Line 65) Casimir, I think it’s time I head home.

Casimir

Line 66) Right, this time, let me take you home.

Sotsona

Line 67) Fine, I won’t oppose that. But, just don’t pull into my parents’ driveway, so that they don’t see your car.

Sotsona

Line 68) I’m only agreeing because of the weather.

Casimir

Line 69) So, do you know how you will talk to them about this?

Sotsona looks at Casimir with that face for him not to ask about those questions.

Sotsona

Line 70) I’ll figure something out. Don’t worry.

Casimir smiles.

Casimir

Line 71) Alright. I believe in you.

Sotsona’s eyes spark when Casimir says those words.

Line 72) Sotsona’s inner thoughts: There are times where Casimir makes my heart skip a beat.

Line 73) Sotsona’s inner thoughts: He just says things I've never heard said to me in my life that make me feel uneasy.

Line 74) Sotsona’s inner thoughts: But at the same time, it’s like I have butterflies in my stomach.

Line 75) Sotsona’s inner thoughts: Not once in my life has anyone associated with me like this.

Casimir

Line 76) Alright, well, let’s wrap this up and head on out.

Sotsona gathers her belongings and they head out.

They get into his garage and get into his car.

Casimir tries to exit his garage by pressing the opening button for the garage door, but it’s not working.

Sotsona looks at him and he looks at her, both confused.

Casimir

Line 77) This usually never happens. I don’t know why it’s doing this.

Sotsona

Line 78) Maybe you need to do a background check on the functionality of all your appliances?

Casimir

Line 79) I did that last week. Everything should be working swiftly.

Sotsona

Line 80) Hmm. I don’t know what this could be then.

Casimir heads out of his car and checks out the garage operation.

He touches the garage door with his bare hands and flinches immediately from the cold.

Line 81) Casimir’s inner thoughts: Could it not be opening because its being blocked by snow, perhaps?

Line 82) Casimir’s inner thoughts: If that’s the case, there’s no way for Sotsona to get home then.

Casimir heads out of his garage from the exit door there.

As he steps out his feet get sunk into inches of snow.

He steps out and sees the inches of snow blocking the garage from opening.

He can also see icicles formed on the garage opening slant.

He steps back inside and stomps the snow off his feet and rubs his arms to regain some warmth.

He walks back to his car and Sotsona notices the snow he stomped off.

Sotsona

Line 83) What’s going on?

Casimir

Line 84) Do you want to take a look for yourself?

Sotsona goes outside the same way Casimir did and sees the snow.

She gasps in shock from how badly the blizzard’s gotten in the span of a couple of hours.

Sotsona

Line 85) How am I going to get home?

Casimir

Line 86) You can’t. Not in this kind of weather.

Sotsona

Line 87) But my parents. What will I do about them?

Casimir

Line 88) Just say that since the blizzard was so bad, a worker of yours offered to give you a ride and then you got stuck in this blizzard. So they offered to take you to their place.

Casimir

Line 89) That means you’d have no choice but to stay the night.

Sotsona

Line 90) Ugh. My parents would never fall for something like that.

Casimir

Line 91) Too bad. There’s no way you can go home in these circumstances. You’ll freeze to death.

Casimir

Line 92) Besides I won’t let you even try.

Sotsona rubs her head from distress.

Sotsona

Line 93) I’m going to be in huge trouble.

Casimir

Line 94) I forget which clause of our contract states we would support each other, but I’ll be doing that for you.

Casimir

Line 95) So, don’t worry. I can back you up on this.

Casimir

Line 96) You can lean on me.

Sotsona looks at Casimir in an appreciative way.

Casimir

Line 97) Maybe then I could introduce myself to them.

Sotsona

Line 98) So, can I spend the night?

Casimir

Line 99) You WILL, whether you like it or not.

Casimir

Line 100) But, don’t worry. My pent-house is big enough to have extra rooms.

Casimir

Line 101) But, I bet you wish you were sharing with me, right?

Casimir teases Sotsona and smiles.

She rolls her eyes playfully.

Sotsona

Line 102) In your dreams.

They head back inside Casimir’s place.
