Chicken Scratch Masterpiece

Chicken Scratch Masterpiece

A Poem by Shelby

I sit and I write and scribble and write.
Wasting much ink and pencil lead.
Papers wrinkled and torn from a book.
Words miss-spelled and letters miss took.

I sit and I write and scribble and write.
Occasionally something good appears.
Occasionally something spectacular emerges.
Words flowing together like a river.

I sit and I write and scribble and write.
Scoring on inspiration,
Loving each line,
Knowing that each and every word is mine.

I sit and I write and scribble and write.
