Foggy

Foggy

A Poem by Shelby

Is it weird if life is kind of foggy?
Is it weird that I feel all groggy?
Is it bad if I stay?
Is it bad if I go?

Are there some things we can’t know?
Are there times when the tears shouldn’t show?
What if I said the words that they wouldn’t?
What if I wanted to do what we couldn’t?

Would you hold on just a little tighter?
Would you hang on like a true fighter?
Could you stop blood from dripping?
Could you stop life from slipping?

If only life wasn’t so foggy,
If only times didn’t get me so groggy.
I’d tie it up tight
I’d put up a fight
Stop it from dripping and
Stop it from slipping
Say all the things that they wouldn’t
Do all the things that we shouldn’t

What a splendid poetic canter through the fog! Wonderful play with words and phonetics! ... "Say all the things that they wouldnt; Do all the things that we shouldnt" ... that sure sounds like a plan!
