Towers Come DownA Poem by EnternalNightIn honor of 9/11Cold steel against skin, neck dripping with sweat, eye's searching in the shadows, for the threat that will tear apart reality.
Twin towers, melting from their steel frames, eye's of the world watching, fear becomes reality.
Screams from the shadows, the ground shakes, a moment of stark clarity. Falling ... Falling … Darkness
White-fire pain, courses the veins, heart pounding with realization ... the other half is gone.
Two towers melted to the ground, hopes and dreams torn down, fear and pain run free … hope and freedom flee.
