Butterfly'sA Poem by EnternalNightA Valentines poem
Walking home
Passing a store Glancing in the window Smiling softy Unlocking the door Throwing my bag on my bed "I can't believe I bought it..." Sighing I set it on my desk waking up My heart beating fast The butterfly's start their dance My hands in my pockets Bag on my shoulder Nerves creeping in Butterfly's Take a deep breath "Calm down" I think to myself "Everyone's doing it" Walking home with you You talking about your latest crush Another guy who you gave chocolate to I smile and listen but only just As we pass the place where we first met The butterfly's dance again I stop and you ask what's wrong I bite my lip and hand you the small box You smile and thank me Asking how I knew these are your favorite My stomach doing flips I wish the butterfly's would calm down You laugh when I shrug And take my hand in yours You whisper a soft "thank you" Lightly kissing me on the cheek
