What im feeling atm

I never want you to see

This horrible side of me

The monster inside

Which makes most want to hide

Why do I have this thing

That curses my soul

That sends me into despair

That I never want to share

So please stay away

Don't try and get to know me

You'll be in danger

Stop!

I don't want anyone to get hurt again

Just let me deal with all the pain

I'll try and take yours away

I know that seems wrong

And pain sometimes helps you to be strong

But I don't want this curse on anyone else

This stone heart

I may seem cold

Heartless even

But it's the only way

To make you stay away

So when I say I'm sorry

That we can't be friends

Please understand

I'm only protecting you...

For this curse of mine

Is far worse then any pain

Poetic Beauty

I think this poem speaks on a deep level. We all have parts of ourselves that we don't like example depression can be a big one. It can affect people in our lives. I think this poems speaks of our inner turmoils. You have expressed your thoughts and feelings clearly in this piece with a bit of mystery as to what the problem that lurks inside is.
