KnivesA Poem by yoloWell idk how this really happened, i just wrote down something and it worked its way into... this? Kinda depressing but hey, yolo
You always wanted to do this
Now you say your scared? I remember when you cried for the world Because you really cared. Now you sit with your friends Laughing at their jokes. Was everything you told me Just a giant coax? Or did you once care For the betterment of our lives? Now when your upset You grab your mom's knives. I see the scars on your wrists They seem to be getting longer. I worry at night, concerned why You stopped getting stronger. You're not really you, Sitting at that table. Smiling, laughing, twirling your hair Trying to act all stable. You're really a time bomb The seconds draining through you The scars represent nothing more Then a flimsy attempt to glue. Perhaps I'm being too hard, I know that life is rough. I just wish that you'd be you And not this happy bluff. You always wanted to do this Now you say you're scared? Just take that knife to your heart You'll show them all you cared.
