My Own Skin

My Own Skin

A Poem by timthy
"

Being comfortable being you

"
This manic condition inside
    Chronic acute anxiety
Symptoms that i cannot hide
    Brought by my own propriety

Perhaps by my own accord
    Or genetic predisposition
This ailment i cannot afford
    Has become a terminal condition
Has me eating glass
    Stuck on needles and pins
Impervious to the past
    That's where it all begins
From the pacing of the floor
    To perpetually feeling nervous
As i am welcomed at the door
    By sins offering full service
Never feeling at ease
    Free from the enemy within
This itch , a mind disease
    Buried beneath my own skin...

Wow such a deep sad poem.
Depression comes in many forms and we must each find a way of living with it.
Some very expressive lines.
Good write.
