![]() Our MillineumA Poem by timthy![]() A weekend that I will cherish forever...just so happens that this lost love was met online(AOL) ...and we met in person on New Years eve 1999...![]() Never in life Would I ever perceive That my life would begin On that new years eve The world became ours Just you and I The universe our kingdom Under a pale winter sky A weekend full Of precious memories made A weekend of magic That I'll never trade Dancing beneath A myriad of stars With your mothers blessing The world became ours Holding you so closely So seemingly composed The finest of my hours Was that night when I proposed As you bid me goodnight I began to cry For I knew after one more goodnight It would then be a good bye The moment our eyes met Infinitely dreaded the day That flight back to Kansas Would take you away Along came that day As if dreaded for years There goes my baby Here come the tears On our way to the airport Holding you ever so tight Willing to surrender my soul For one more beautiful night As you grasped your baggage And boarded the plane Never have I experienced Such immeasurable pain Both, not knowing How this love would turn out Just knowing we would find a way Beyond the shadow of a doubt As you turned to look back Before your trip to the skies A waterfall of emotion Flowed from your eyes The next thing I knew In fact, rather amazed I would be in the arms of my baby In just thirteen days The next two weeks Seemed like a lifetime, indeed You are not just someone I wanted But also, someone I need On the way to the airport My heart would flutter and race For in just six short hours I would again see your face As I got off the plane Heart beating ever so fast Happiness has found me For I am home at last Never before Would I ever believe Gave you heart, mind, and soul On our new years eve.. © 2014 timthy |
