A Poem by timthy
"

Story of a love gone but not forgotten

"

We have been apart

      But a few short days

What a game of the heart

      My memory plays

Sitting here waiting

     Gazing longingly at the phone

Sitting here without you

     Feeling so all alone

Miss the taste of your kisses

    The warmth of your touch

The smell of your vanilla skin

    I miss you so much

For each day without you

Takes a little more of me

Each night without you

   Seems its own eternity

Toss and turn

  Cannot sleep at night

Without you there, I yearn

   It just doesn't seem right

A story without an end

   An unfinished song

My love and my best friend

With you is where I belong

When I hear your voice on the phone

It creates such a burning inside

Tears reinforcing I am all alone

Emotions that are too strong to hide

I hear our song playing

  May I have this dance

Only by remembering the magic

Does this love have a chance

I remember when

   On Valentine's day

Holding each other

   With no words to say

For no words were needed

   As we danced that night

Our bodies said I love you

   By dim of candlelight

You are in every thought

   Every dream, and prayer

You consume my daydreams

   Every breath of air

You are the meaning

   Of true love to me

Although you are gone

The beat of my heart you will always be...
