FORECASTA Poem by timthyThere is a storm brewing..Loneliness has hit A bitter low Precipitation Defined as tears Precipitation Suppressed for years Precipitation Chance of rain Precipitation Storm of pain Sky lacking promise Of sunny days Life's splendor faded In so many ways Storm clouds now Encompassing me Gone are the breezes Of tranquility Topical depression Chance of pain Seasonal bitterness Strikes once again Amidst the heavens Grey clouds start to hover Engulfing my soul With complete cloud cover Gone are the days Of sunshine and bliss Now dismal days Are all that exist Atmospheric pressure Bearing down on me Front moving in With barometric urgency Outside thunder crashes Like a nation at war Lightning strikes its target Like countless times before Floodwaters rushing Like blood through the veins Blood as water crushing Tormenting my brain Awaiting storms pass Final crash of thunder Will hide the gun blast Blood spilling out As if water from a brook Just one pull of the trigger Is all that it took.
