Miserable Affection

Miserable Affection

A Poem by Jolly Jake
"

Havn't done this in a while... Just poured this one onto the page.

"

Why can’t I let go?

Why is this so hard?

How did you manage,

To grip so hard on my heart?

They go from girl to girl,

Why isn’t it that easy?

I just want to move on

Why can’t I be that sleezy?

I know it’s not your fault,

We just aren’t meant to be.

So how come in my insides,

That’s so hard to see?

I just cannot express,

How I feel about you girl.

Can’t stop thinking of you,

It’s like you’re the whole world.

I can’t get by your image,

You’re in everything I see.

The blessing that’s a curse,

I just want it out of me.

So close to being happy,

Could have been perfection.

But now you’re just a burden,

Heavy with rejection.

Left with nowhere to go,

Just lost without direction.

And that’s how I feel

About this miserable affection.
