I Need a Friend

Sometimes a person needs a friend,

In whom they’ll always trust.

A helping hand that’s always there,

Continually fair and just.

Friends are like warm blankets,

During cold, lonely times of strife.

They stick around and cheer you up,

Bringing great quality to life.

Other times when things are good,

A friend is just for fun.

For joy is found in many friends,

Not in someone with none.

Having a friend can brighten your day,

With a good one nothing’s bland.

The simplest things become great fun,

Transforming them from dull to grand.

I consider you a good friend,

Who is fun to be around.

The kind that most would agree,

Someone is lucky to have found.

Even at stupid school dances,

Friends like us have fun together.

So would you like to go to Prom,

And have a time to remember?

Wow! That is so original! It's awesome! She's very lucky...is she really just a friend or more?? But honestly I think that is the BEST way to ask a girl to prom, definately the best way to get her to say yes.
