Into the WildA Poem by NataliaInspired by the book "Into the Wild" by John Krakauer.
My excitement
rises I am almost
there I can feel the
biting cold And smell the
uncharted wilderness I go into the
unknown
I throw my money
away I abandon my car I shed this
materialistic life I head north to
live off the land I go into Alaska
Looming
mountains, raging rivers, endless nights Nature at its
best Everything I
dream about Just over that
next hill, at my fingertips I go into the
magnificent
It is cold, it
is bitter, this place that I go It is an
unforgiving place, for one little mistake can cost you your life Yet I go I go to this
lonely, desolate world I am ready,
ready to go into the wild © 2013 NataliaFeatured Review
