Day 2A Chapter by yesi
The car hit with so much force on the highway. We rolled forward over one car, then another, my life flashed before my eyes reminding me of all the times i've ignored and mistreated my family. We landed on top of a car. We were practically squashed in, trapped, I passed out for only a minute or two there was no way I could have passed out with shadow yelling. I took off my seat belt and fell straight on my head. Rolling over I crawled over to my parents. Their was a small crack where i could view blood flowing on to the floor horrified I carefully unbuckled my little sister, While trying to cover her face with a towel from the seat. I tried opening the door with all my force but it would not open. I grabbed the briefcase and smashed the window open I pushed my sister and our luggage out the car window. She took off the towel and tried opening the door, I pushed, And she pulled. The door finally popped open, I jumped out, and Opened the upsidedown trunk as good as I could and grabbed all our items. I never once checked if my parents were alive or dead since I knew it didn't matter there were no longer hospitals and we were living on a timer. I never got to tell them that I loved them. My ignorance got in the way, but that no longer mattered as long as we lived. We began to walk my sister still holding a stern face,” they didn't help us…” I stared at her,” This world has a timer, people only care about themselves in times like these” Still keeping a stern face she looked up at me,” But you're not like that right?” Puzzled I looked at her am I like that? I left my parents behind not knowing if they were alive In pain! Isn’t that the same? Only worse. Would I do the same if my sister.. If my only family member also, Suddenly shadow tucked on my sleeve,” Hey in less than a minute a girl will walk up and steal one of our suitcases the one with food. she's really pretty so you'll be an idiot and not notice” Suddenly an extremely pretty girl came up in a tank top and shorts with brunette hair. I tightened my grip on the suitcase handles she stopped and tried to talk to me I walked right past her. Whenever she came close we just kept walking until she stopped approaching us,” Thanks shadow” She smiled. As night time came we fell asleep in a ditch by the road making a bed out of our suitcases. Our first night without our parents ended and the beginning of the new ice age began only a few days until eighty percent of the world would become ice.
