Conquering The Elusive Words

Conquering The Elusive Words

A Poem by Lynn
"

I finally wrote this little poem after staring at a blank page for hours!!!

"

The page is so beautiful

Spectacular indeed

It's so white...it's so bright

Waiting to be seized

It taunts....it teases

It dares me to write

So I grab my pen prepared to fight

I begin writing at a fevered pace

Words are flowing

I have sweat on my face

I conquered the beast of writers block

And I will keep on winning if I do not stop.....?!?

Yes, the possibilities of a blank page are endless. Being also somewhat of an artist, it's doubly so for me. To answer your question, yes, I do think you'll keep winning if you don't stop.

The best writes are spontaneous, about nothing, and about something all at the same time. It's funny that you wrote this, because I always tell people how much I love the white stuff (blank spots in their writings) when they give short paragraphs or separate them with a lot of space. White pages just have so much potential, and it can be quite intimidating. I loved it because it was spontaneous, about nothing, and about something. Can't wait to read more of your work.
