ConsumptionA Poem by Aimee RobinsonThis is a personification poem I wrote a while ago. I used the emotion "guilt."
Consumption Guilt is a man in a dark room silent as an old church. He wears a jet black coat and stands still as a rock. He looks out the window, his cold fingers pressed up against the glass. His eyes plead, wide with sadness he tries to conceal. Memories flash across his mind as he remembers the burden lying heavily on his shoulders. Crumpling his back. He is dying to forgive, but the guilt is fire pulsing through his veins consuming him.
