Wishes

A Poem by Hayley-Jade

I stare at these four walls

Wishing I wasn't here

Wishing my life carried some meaning

Wishing I didn't have so much to fear

I listen to strange voice's

They shouldn't be so strange

They are those of my family

But over time they did change

When was the last day I wasn't worried?

I really haven't a hint

I'm only fourteen in this life of mine

Yet I'm ready for the end of this stint

I just want the disappointment to end

Not really my life

I just want to be happier

To live without this strife.

I'm looking for not just life's meaning, but my meaning, the reason for my existence, the reason the sun shines, the reason the clouds cry, and what I can do to help, all through the power of writing... more..
