False Light

False Light

A Poem by ~DeathByButterflies~
"

Didn't know what to title it... I tried, anyway.

"
Tears stand in the eyes of the holy,
The lost,
The broken,
Completely unfolding.
Let them spin out,
These emotions so told,
Bringing false light
For all to behold.
These are our lies,
Hidden so well,
Seen from afar,
Caught in a spell.
This is so ancient,
Yet never spoken,
These words all denied
Out in the open.
There is truth in these words,
Hidden so deep,
Crossing your heart,
Preparing to weep.
Your light is nothing,
Nothing more than falsehood.
There was never anything here
To keep you well and good.
Your light is disguised as hope,
Something with which you will never cope.
These are the stories,
These are the lies,
Hidden so well
In the light of disguise.

I like the rhymes they create a flow and torrent of words and emotions that are easy to follow and unforced they swirl delicately in the water of your pain and deceit a despair born from the guilt that spills forth when you weep, beautiful.

I guess you could say I'm just a kid that likes to write poetry. I'm little more than that, really. I write how I feel, and feel how I write. It may not always be the best decision, or the best writin.. more..
