My Love

Heh, a love poem. Something I wouldn't usually write, but here goes nothing...

This is what I fight for,
This is what I breathe for,
This life, this touch,
Unlike any other.
No one ever touched my heart this way,
No one ever made me feel as such.
Now I'm lost to you
In an undying love,
Lost so far,
A small flying dove.
I never felt this way before,
Never knew this feeling,
But whenever I'm with you,
My heart skips beating.
Maybe if you knew
What I'd do for you,
Maybe if you saw
That yes, I love you too,
The world wouldn't be so cold,
We could see it all anew.
There wouldn't have to be anyone else,
For this life,
I am okay,
As long as it's me and you...
For today,
I am okay,
As long as forever you're here to stay.
