A Gift Giver's Note To All

Some people do not understand

the joys of sitting down,

and doodling in your math book,

or making a paper crown.

 

The fun that comes from making things

with twine and glitter glue,

and pulling something out of nothing

to create a gift for you.

 

And when you smile and take it,

in return, it is enough

for me to expect nothing more

than your exalted laugh.
