A Note to the Average Garden Hedge

A Note to the Average Garden Hedge

A Poem by T.Y.N.P.

Brave, green warriors,

brave, green men.

Cold winter may try test you,

but you will rise again.

Snow blankets will not smother you;

Spring will melt it all away.

Then, green warriors, you will stand

sentinel through the day.

Keep safe our homes and critters,

the rabbits, birds, and bees.

Keep them safe till autumn comes,

and you must shed your leaves.

Then you must rest, green warriors,

you must rest, brave men.

Cold winter may just kill you

and who will save us, then?
