you would leave me mute
of my memories
& the gratuitous suffering
i've bled from my psyché
in a dark ink spill ~
each time you cut [& paste]
the names of my lovers
from the sighs on my tongue
to claim them
between
your soiled pages
*
sully [my] emotions
& rape thoughts
i've stripped to the bone
... denuded ...
i am vulnerable
when i stroke my deeds
& bare them to vultures
who pick shamelessly
at the carcass
of [stolen] experience
to violate the fragile balance
of signature punctuation

i do not waive the rights
to painful impressions
you stake under pretence
... laying siege to my words
to the syllables
which are the aum
of my catharsis ...

self-serving
self-righteous
an entitled thief
fashioning patchwork poetry
pilfered & perverted
as a means to an end
... i pity you, poor soul
poor of identity
broke of creativity
famished for attention
starved of honesty...

Your words have been read, and your voice has been heard.
I will warn you I have suffered much backlash and abuse on this subject but I will always stand up for what I believe is true and right. I will make no accusations against this poet that you came to confront, as I think you will do a fine job on your own, much as blue angel has. The people of the Cafe are good people and I am sorry they have to go through this yet again but I hope that they understand the seriousness of what is happening here and know that we will weather the storm.

Anče thank you for your comment & words of advice. i am not easily intimidated by one who cannot string together a sentence which isn't littered with profanity...

Anytime, when you need someone on your side to fight for what's right, you know where to find me :)
People should be ashamed that they are not honest with the work they are doing.... what else they can earn if they don't earn a self respect?

thank you muchly for your thought provoking comment & taking the time to read my wee rant

Plagiarists are vile, loathsome and disgusting. They should be burned at the stake. Stealing someone else's work and calling it your own is an obnoxious thing to do. The poem is perfectly phrased. I really enjoyed it. My favourite lines would be:
"poor of identity
broke of creativity
famished for attention
starved of honesty... " although, my pity is limited....

End of the day, a cheat will always be a cheat and deep down inside they know it; but some people have no shame.
Such theft of course is not solely kept within the environs of poetry; idea stealing has been around as long as ideas have. T

point of lacerating those that plagiarize, their selfish egos'

you're very welcome, miss m, always a pleaure to read your art :)
This also made me think of what one would gain, knowing that a work of not really their own. How could there be any fulfillment? It reminds me of the expression, "cheating at solitaire". Ultimately the person has cheated themselves.

I'm not the world's greatest writer but I do it because it comes from me, and that's the whole inspiration. I don't get what the point would be. Anyway, as you said, there are a lot of different motivations in the world. It's been nice to meet you, thanks for the conversation!
This is very well done and intense. I have never had this experience, but in reading this I can feel the sense of violation and trespassing. The wording is intense and woven together very beautifully. Thank you
