you would leave me mute
of my memories
& the gratuitous suffering
i've bled from my psyché
in a dark ink spill ~
each time you cut [& paste]
the names of my lovers
from the sighs on my tongue
to claim them
between
your soiled pages

sully [my] emotions
& rape thoughts
i've stripped to the bone
... denuded ...
i am vulnerable
when i stroke my deeds
& bare them to vultures
who pick shamelessly
at the carcass
of [stolen] experience
to violate the fragile balance
of signature punctuation

i do not waive the rights
to painful impressions
you stake under pretence
... laying siege to my words
to the syllables
which are the aum
of my catharsis ...

self-serving
self-righteous
an entitled thief
fashioning patchwork poetry
pilfered & perverted
as a means to an end
... i pity you, poor soul
poor of identity
broke of creativity
famished for attention
starved of honesty...

Your words have been read, and your voice has been heard.
I will warn you I have suffered much backlash and abuse on this subject but I will always stand up for what I believe is true and right. I will make no accusations against this poet that you came to confront, as I think you will do a fine job on your own, much as blue angel has. The people of the Cafe are good people and I am sorry they have to go through this yet again but I hope that they understand the seriousness of what is happening here and know that we will weather the storm.

Anytime, when you need someone on your side to fight for what's right, you know where to find me :)
I think you captured the essence of plagiarism here quite well. I do find the words you choose in this and in other works really adds to the flow and emotions evoked by reading..

you are most gracious, gray...
... spasiba for perusing my words
A very articulate piece that sums up the real cost of having one's work stolen... it is so much more than just words that are taken.
I don't know the background to this, I gather something has happened on the site but I have been away for a while. I just enjoyed and appreciated this for the great piece of writing it is, a piece of writing that stands alone.
Powerful and sadly very common in this world where people assume they have right to share whatever they like and expect it to be free.
╰☆╮Whew, remind me to never get on your bad side. I haven't been very active on here in months due to school and stuff, so I have no idea what's happened, but I cannot stand plagiarists and they should be punished for their actions. Nice work getting the point across. Keep fighting the good fight, haha.╰☆╮
This is a well written piece that fills the reader with strong emotions toward a subject that should have never seen the light of day. Theft is theft, no matter how you look at it. Well done.
Broke of creativity and starved of honesty sums it up!

p.s adore the little snow drops in your avatar! so pretty.
This packs a punch and the message loud and clear....
What's happening on here?? I go away for a bit and it's all turned upside down. Friends have left and are upset. WC is a place for us story tellers and poets to be able to express ourselves as we feel best however there are some that choose to attack and make a mockery of real talent. Why would someone want to rip off someone elses work?
Nicely penned and bravo!

... valuable members will naturally make an exodus to find greener pastures where their words are not overshadowed by a thief's melodrama & subsequently the writers who come here to confront & display outrage at behaviour which should be addressed inhouse

as for the whys... who on earth but them would know why they are so desperate for attention & accolades they haven't earned. personally, i would consult freud for a little psychoanalysis...
... i've notched it down to narcissism & sociopathy given their mock outrage at being confronted with evidence of their crimes & projecting their guilt on to those they've wronged

this is indeed a lovely community with many wonderful & talented writers [as i've discovered over the last week] & i'm sorry that [again] they as a whole have to deal with the backlash of one person's dishonesty...

It's great to see you and read another masterpiece of yours. I think it's a compliment when someone borrows your words and credit the source, but when it's blatantly obvious of repetitious plagiaristic behavior, from the same person, claiming to be the victim, adamantly lying about something you've conceived through emotions, stealing credit for what belongs to you, well,… it gets my panties in a bunch.

it doesn't seem so easy here as the site owners are non responsive to emails & seem to [passively] both encourage & endorse this type of behaviour by not actively addressing numerous complaints by poets whose works are cohesive & adhere to a certain style, diction [&] quality...
