A NIGHT IN THE FORESTA Poem by YashikaIt's about all the things you'll feel, see or hear in a forest, away from the town.Wolves howling, trees rustling. Hiding behind the clouds is the shining moon; You get soothed by the sound of crickets all around chirping. To encounter this is the biggest boon. The dark and silence, though scary, is serene. Crumpling the dried brown leaves that once used to be fresh and green; The sleeping leaves and flowers exude a sense of lethargy, Sleeping to freeze all their energy. Only the moonflower stays awake, To entice the lost and afraid. The swooshing wind, the steps you take are the only sounds you hear. The screeching owls, rutting deers, keep company to the ones who dare. The smell of damp moss, rain, and wet tree trunks calming one down, Loving the feeling of being far away from the hustle-bustle of the town. © 2021 YashikaFeatured Review

Sure, the poems often turn out to be a little dark, but I'm a solid pOsItIvE person. I have no time to mourn over anything because I'm always busy writing or reading or sleep.. more..Writing
